Twilight Princess. My 2nd favorite Zelda game (2nd only to Ocarina of Time <3). I loved the game play, the beautiful landscape. The characters. Midna, omg I love Midna. At first she made me miss Navi, who I now have a new appreciation and love for. But Midna is still awesome.

The Zelda in this game is by far my favorite Zelda in the series. She's just so regal and calm and GOD SHE'S GORGEOUS. I absolutely love her design. I'm not so fond of Ganondorf's makeover. His weird hair thing annoyed me. Also the fact that he's like 9 feet tall and Link's only like 6. SPOILERS The sword fight at the end was epic though.

Link is man-pretty. That made me happy. And the fact that he had a lot of facial expressions. I hadn't experienced much of that before I played TP (or even Wind Waker). But it opened up a lot more insight into his personality. He's not my favorite Link, but he is up in the top 3.

Spoilers
My absolute favorite scene is where Link rides into Kakariko on Epona and races off to save Colin. That scene was just epic and I've rewatched at least twice every game play <3

Since I'm new to this, I haven't really played many Zelda games. I gots A Link to the Past TP. Also mesa thinking of geting some more on de virtual console. Anyways, I haven't beat TP yet, but I'm getting there. Good game play. The lighting in Twilight is annoying though. All in all not much to complain. Especially the fact that you can warp around places. My favorite part in the parts I've seen is when the last spirit shows Link the vision. Its just so creepy and evil I couldn't help not liking it. So anyway ya, now you know what I think 'bout TP.

By de way, should I get Ocinara of Time?

It's only the best game in the series. It's worth getting!

And then once you beat TP and OoT... you should try A Link to the Past. =3

w00t.gif That's one of my favorite scenes too! I especially loved Link's victory pose at the end of the whole thing. (The first time I saw that, I felt like I could drool Lake Hylia).

I didn't like TP very much to be honest. It was a good game, but it wasn't Zelda-esque. It'd have been a good game on its own, but not as part of the TLoZ series. But eh, Nintendo redeemed itself in my book by releasing Phantom Hourglass, so I forgive them. ;p

TP had some cool parts, as well as some very neat characters (Telma, ftw!). There were also some twists, like learning of the legend of the Ooccaa creating the Hylians and all that jazz. There were some great costume designs, too, but the game as a whole was very lacking to be considered part of TLoZ. In fact, it's my least favorite Zelda game.... but that doesn't mean I loathe it entirely. I still like it as a game on its own... but it's definitely not something I can stand to play more than once.

I dunno, I like the shift of focus from Link/Ganondorf/Zelda power struggle. It was nice to get a glimpse into what's going on and how their actions affect others. That was part of the reason I really liked Twilight Princess, because the Triforce and Link/Ganondorf/Zelda wasn't the main driving force of the story. It was a nice change of pace and I think it has just as much right to be apart of TLoZ series as any of the other games.

I like Twilight Princess.

I like Zelda's new design she looks like a strong and brave, warrior princess. Including Ganondorf, he reminds me of Darth Vader.

I also like the new character, Midna.
I like her as a good companion and friend to Link.
I like her both her imp form and Human form.

The one i didn't like is that the story lacks The Tri-force, Ganondorf, Zelda, and Zelink romance. sad.gif

Atleast it has Link and Zelda fighting Ganondorf together as teamwork. biggrin.gif

But everything isn't about Link/Zelda/Ganondorf or the Triforce. There are other worlds out there. There are other people out there. Even though the Triforce isn't a driving force in these people's lives, the struggle for it still affects them. We all KNOW that there is a struggle for it between those three people. But how does that affect everyone around them? How do their actions trigger events in other worlds? I think that's what TP was trying to show us.

Twilight Princess may have lacked visual content that enforced certain things in the storyline, such as the connection between Link and Zelda, but certain hints were left with the gamer to piece together afterwards. It is much like picking through a poem and trying to uncover the hidden meaning that the creator had wanted you to find. Well, TP is all about how you are able to piece certain things together. Like for example: Midna rolls her eyes when she notices a change in Link's behaviour as a wolf when meeting Zelda for the first time, noting how he stares while walking towards her as soon as she turns around. Other examples include when Link and Zelda stare at one another before they are interupted by Gandorf's spirit and when they hold hands at the end of the game in the Light Temple. In other words, what may seem as a minor little detail in the game might be the very detail needed to identify such connections as between Link and Zelda. The creator for TP just really wants us to unravel the story and look for the inner meaning instead of expecting explicit details to fall right into our face. tongue.gif

I agree with you very much so, Twilight Mistress! Though their relationship was limited to their few meetings, it's obvious that there is an intense connection between them. Especially that scene were Link holds out his hand and Zelda takes it- it's very reminiscent of the OoT scene were Link and Zelda hold hands in the sky. The way they react to each other in their few meetings is very interesting for people who barely know each other, and cannot be dismissed.

I actually think that TP is the best Zelda game that has come out for ages- I recently played PH and it does not measure up at all in my opinion. TP had stunning graphics and a storyline with many interesting plot twists and the character development was incredible.

Everything that occurs in Hyrule is a result of Ganondorf and the splitting of the Triforce. So yes, it is about the L/Z/G Triforce theme- it affects outside countries- the Triforce is the cornerstone of the world and affects them all, not just Hyrule, and that is demonstrated. Even though it isn't talked about much in TP, the symbols of the Triforce are clear on the main three's hands and players of the previous games understand the significance behind it. TP demonstrates how the Triforce affects others, such as those dwelling in the Twilight Realm. We also see in games such as the Oracle series and MM that those bearing the Triforce bring great change and affect the lands they go to.

That's basically what I was saying. I didn't expilicity mean that the theme wasn't present in the game, because obviously it was. I meant that the struggle for the Triforce doesn't *only* affect them. And it doesn't *only* affect Hyrule for that matter. I meant that the other worlds are threatened by Ganondorf splitting the Triforce. And that I think Nintendo was trying to get away from the "Ganondorf is bad. Zelda summons Link. Link beats Ganondorf" theme. They were trying to offer insight into how the struggle for the Triforce affects other worlds. Not just the realm of Hyrule.

Yes, though I hope that they don't stray too far away from the original theme, you know? That's part of what I really love about the Zelda games. I do want to see how the surrounding countries and realms are affected though. happy.gif It is interesting. Though I guess now that the only entrance to the Twilight Realm has been destroyed, we won't ever see it again. sad.gif

That IS sad... I absolutely loved Midna.

Though one thing I did miss about TP was the triforce story though. Usually each time the creators make a new Zelda game, they do something new with the Ganondorf/Triforce/Link/Zelda storyline--and I like to see what they do with it.

But hey, TP was okay. It felt weird, but I still liked it. happy.gif I liked how they brought back the concept of a "darker world" and how Link turns into an animal. It reminded me of A Link to the Past with the Dark World and Link turning into a bunny.
