Oh heck you guys, just shoot me now for being gone so long. >_< I don't get topic notifications any more for some reason, so I tend to forget. . . (Amaya, is there anyway you could help me with that? It's aggrivating, and I don't want to miss anything!)
Anyway, I really love the idea of having 30 themes. But I hate the idea of a 100 word limit. . . >_< Most of my short fics range around 600-1000, sometimes more. Tying myself down to 100 words is soul/muse killing. But what I'm thinking is the drabbles shouldn't have to be done one a day, because I know that somedays I write more than others, and some I just have no inspiration. So, as long as you get all 30 done within the time period given, that should be okay. The admins can judge, but I think also we could have a vote to see what the popular ones among us members. The admins would have the final say though. Does that even make sense? As for word lists, I'm willing to help compose some lists, if you wish admins. We could have a big long list of 100 or something, and out of it you pick 30. . . or whatever. I myself say that AU's are all good for challenge enteries, as long as they stick with the Zelink theme. That's what we're at this forum for, after all.  So yes. . . a long post from me! I'm excited for this contest! |

Well, you don't have to worry about killing your muse or your soul, because the 100-word limit is just the minimum mark. I don't think anyone will fault you for going over 1000
 (though I think the 100 word minimum could be waived for poetry, because I'm pretty sure you can't have a haiku of more than a hundred words  )And I completely agree with you on the bit about not having to write one a day, so long as they get done before the deadline. And I don't think anyone should be penalized either if a particular theme leaves them uninspired to write something, because inspiration can be a bee-otch sometimes  So, are we going to start this thaaang on the 10th? |
