I think six's a pretty decent number Maybe we can think up some rules in time for a September deadline?

Everyone's all agreed on no lemon/hentai/pr0n stories for this, so why don't we just mimic Twilight Princess and set a max for a T rating? That way we can have a naughty word or two, and some not-too-graphic violence (well, nothing worse that what you would find in a Zelda game ).

How about... stories have a minimum of 100 words? If we're going to be doing that daily drabble thing, most people probably won't need to go over 1000 words (unless they're really inspired, that is).

If we do this in September, that gives us 30 day, 30 themes. What if we have it so contestants can write a drabble a day, but if a particular theme (or themes) leaves them uninspired, they can simply skip that particular day and wait for the next theme option? And those who do finish all 30 themes get a complementary completionist award?

(And if all six of us write a drabble a day, we'll end up with 180 at the end, and that's a lot of drabbles XD)

What else..? Oh, who's going to be judging this thing, as well as deciding the themes? The admins, I would assume, but which ones?

That's all I can think of, so if anyone else has ideas, we've only got three days till September starts ^-^;;

So. For the admins stuff, I'll be happy to do any judging with Rikku-chan if she agrees to this~ And I'll help come up with a theme/decide on it, if you'd like!

Do you guys what prizes or anything? I remember talking to this with PH a loooonnnggg time ago, about who would do prizes, and what they would be. We'd been thinking of making banners or something...

Oh~! I have a good idea! But its a secret. It might end up being a suprise prize!

I don't know if we should start it in September though, because it IS right around the corner, and members come at various times, so it may be too late for them.

And I'm not sure about what kinda of stories you guys wanna do. If its drabbles its fine. I don't know if I can come up with 30 themes though (or good ones at least) and it'll be hard if I end up doing this by myself. @_@ So. I don't know how many stories you guys wanna enter or what...

Haha, okay. I guess it's time for me to put down my thoughts, I have been lurking at this topic for quite a while.

I'd be happy to help in the judging with Amy, since we are the only active admins around lately. Hylian Cetra is on at some points, but I can't seem to get a hold of her. I know that one (and only?) mod is active in another forum, so maybe I could get her to help us out with the judging as well.

In regards to prizes, I like the idea of a 'surprise prize' of some sort, so I'll talk this over with you in private, Amaya .

I'm terribly sorry for replying to this so lately, but since September is just right around the corner (more like, 3 days or so) we might have to start this at a later date. Hopefully, not too much later.

I don't really want to limit the participants to anything, so I'm open to any ideas and what that you can think up. The more unique, the better. If we have a final decision on drabbles, you won't have to think up of all 30 drabble themes, Amy. I could think up half and - if we're lucky - HC or Luna could think up some as well.

Woo. I haven't made such a long post in a long time. Hopefully we get some new members soon, I might've did a few things to help us out xD.

30 themes is a little waay to much. Maybe 1 theme each 3 days? o_O

Well, considering you don't have to do all the themes, it's fine. Besides, drabbles are pretty short, so it's not like they're long to write.

I just have a question: are we allowed to do AU? Because I like doing AUs, and it would probably allow for additional freedom in the subjects. Like, if I'm allowed to do AU, there's no limit to the sheer fun you'll be subjected to. Isn't that an exciting idea? Isn't it?

Well, I see no reason not to do AU - besides, as CM's AU fanfics are always great to read, we should not deny her the reason to write more

Should we suggest themes as well, or shall the almightly admins think of them all? (maybe if we think of themes, we don't do those ones or something? )

I think we should be free to drabble about anything, so long as it's Legend of Zelda (or more specifically, Zelink, since this is, after all, the LxZ forum ) related in some way. And AU definitely falls into that

As for themes, I know some places use things like random word generators, famous quotes, lyrics to particular songs they like, or random pictures they find off the internet for their contests.

What if we start this contest on the 10th? That way people have a chance to settle back into school and whatnot. And perhaps if the contest is open to anyone, and they can join in at any time (well, before the judging commences, that is), it might attract more people?

How does all that sound to you guys?

Now let's redefine a drabble: from 100 to a 1000 words? So 15-30 minutes' work every day... That seems fair enough, I guess. I can probably find the time.
