I know I can't be the only bookworm on the forum, so I'm creating this thread for us to talk about our favorite/least books, authors, recomandations and so on and so forth. I'm mainly a manga/fantasy/scifi/historical fiction kind of gal, though I will read other stuff!! Lets see, some of my favorite authors are: Tamora Pierce Gath Nix (I LOVE him!!! Woot for Mogget!! ) Robin Mckinley Juliet Mariller So, what are yours? Please share!

JKR should give us more of Fred and George. They're like, my idols. XD I liked Lord of the Flies (wicked Belzebub translation), DH. I had lots of fun analyzing that book, actually. The parallel with politics was amazing. Plus, I had fun hating Jack. RALPH POWER! GO BLONDIE AND DEMOCRACY! (Though I'll say, the lil'uns were SO ANNOYING AND STUPID. Even though they were a the personification of the foolish masses). The religious analogy was sort of weird too, but I still liked Simon. He was a good guy. And so air-headed. :hearts: Also, gotta love the Beast. Great parallel. As for reading sci-fi, I know it might sound like a blasphemy, but I'm not into it at the moment. I used to be, but I've been into chick-lit for a while, lol. Too many cute boys to count. Then again, my personal life has been turning into chick-lit recently, so I might take you up on the suggestion. Who knows? Maybe then my life will turn into a sci novel. Sweet.

^ I second that motion! Speaking of books paralell with our own reality, if you want something that's depressingly accurate, you should try George Orwell's 1984. It's probably more relevant now than when it was written, which is kinda freaky. I've actually been reading a lot of classical books lately, like Gone With The Wind and The Count of Monte Cristo, but I'll always have a special place in my heart for the Redwall books. They're like a guilty pleasure XD That and Death Note

OOOHHHH my favourite books hmmm: Two weeks with the queen by Morris Glietzman! I recommended this book to alot of friends and i am going to recommend it to you guys!!! go and read it it's a great read. Sad yet meaningfull. It's a childrens book which makes it UBER KOOL!!! Death of an Ancient King by Laurent Gaude This book is the First full on war book i have read! there's alot of blood and gore! esp family betrayal and deception! Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Gold I love this book. Well if you loved the movie then im sure you will love the book. A very facinating culture. Davinci Code by Dan Brown I must say this was a very intense read lol not really. I learnt most of the things that were in the book, such as the paintings, in Art History. So nothing came to me as a surprise except where.......go and read it lol. But his other books are pretty much the same (Demons and Angel, Deception POint and Digital Fotress), they are all brainy thrillers which to me share similar plots....eh maybe it's just me! To kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee I read this book in 5th form. I have read this a million of times and i have only seen the movie once lol! i prefer the book! Go and read it! OOOHHHH there are so much to write down! Harry Potter and the Philosiphers Stone By JKR OOOHHHHH i am seriously in love with the Weasleys!! lol esp the twins! they make me laugh everytime!!
