Hee hee! XD Thank you, Crazyfreak for that lovely step-by-step thingie about how the manga was approved by Nintendo! There's a lot of ZeLink bashers who say, "The manga isn't proof, because it's not officially Nintendo"..................... *COUGH*.... There's so much proof I've gathered it would take me a while to think of it all... Maybe I'll come back later with what HM's little mind has observed for the past years. ^^ Though a glaring proof that I can think of is the ending of the OoT game... Link puts the Ocarina in Zelda's hand... If they were just "friends" then Zelda wouldn't have stroked Link's hand with hers. *gets a nosebleed from the thought* *sigh* That scene makes me SOOO happy!!! *heart, heart* And of course the ending to AoL... Meheheheheheh.... *evil kitty laugh* I sound kinda like a stalker...

My my, you certainly are enthusiastic! Love the siggy, by the way. Its beautiful! Ahem, anyway, I agree, the ending of OoT was perhaps the biggest giveaway to the Zelink romance. Instead of just taking the ocarina from Link, Zelda rests her hand ontop of his, so sad because she knows the moment she takes the ocarina from him her love will have to leave her. . . *bursts into tears* Waaaahhh!!! I really did cry at that scene the first time I played the game. I still tear up, lol. Ha, another hint, from WW. I think its after you get the bombs and when you step into one of Beetle's shops and speak to him, he says something about you and that 'lovely pirate' girl. And then he says, 'Oooh! You are blushing sir!' or something to that effect. Shows that others notice the attraction between Link and Zelda Pfff, of COURSE the manga can be used as proof! *smacks the silly people* Geez, what are they smoking?

| QUOTE (Hylia Princess @ Dec 23 2006, 05:32 PM) | | But what can we say about TP? Can we ignore that game altogether?? |
Well... not necessarily ignore TP all together... Just forewarning, this is going to contain spoilers, so be on your guard if you don't want anything given away. ^_~
<spoiler>There is a brief, fast, and quick fluff sequence between Link and Zelda. (Or that's how I took it). She says to him, "Link, chosen hero, lend us your power!" Then Link smiles and holds out his hand, then Zelda receives it. I think if more time was given to them, that it could have worked out. The only two people Link had any sort of physical contact with was Midna and Zelda as far as I remember (remind me if I've missed anything). Though I don't think Midna counts really, seeing as how she left at the end of the game. However Midna only would rest her arm on Link's shoulder and once put her hand on his cheek. Though there is one difference between this and his contact with Zelda. With Zelda he held out his hand... see what I'm saying? As for Ilia... At the very end, Link was riding away from Ordon. (I made sure he was... But that's a whole different topic.) So there's just that little scene we have.<spoiler>
So TP doesn't have to be ignored completely. ^_~ There's just fewer evidence in TP. ;_; You don't really have to agree with me, it's just how I interpreted things. XD

Reply to above post/spoiler OH! THANK YOU! I thought Link was going to Ordon to see Ilia. I can be so retarded, I apologize. But I see what you mean. It's their traditional Link shows emotion towards everybody like other Zelda games. If Zelda had more screen time, she would have more romantice moments... But she couldnt' because she was captured. So then, he does probably go to Zelda to protect the world... YAY! Thank you! Now I have my mind wokring in a Zelinkish mood.! Spoiler done.

Yeah, the cloud scene in Ocarina of Time was one of my favorites. If that scene didn't say that Link and Zelda were in love, then I don't know what did.

You know, when I was younger I used to debate hotly about this stuff-- kinda funny looking back on it, now that I think about it. I used to have an absurdly long list of reasons why I loved Zelda and Link together... but really, when it comes right down to it? I like them, just because I do. Sometimes I wonder if that's so wrong. People argue constantly as if there is a right or a wrong. What does it matter if one person likes one pairing as opposed to someone else who likes another, different pairing? So my main answer to why I like Zelink these days is: "I just do."

| QUOTE (Lutearina @ May 15 2006, 07:40 PM) | There was a point in the manga where she decides Link is her hero, but then, when he hears something about the princess, and says her name, it says "but her love was short-lived..." And she said something like, "Why do you say her name like that? Is it.....It is..."
|
Yeah! She said that there was something in his eyes when he yelled Zelda's name. LOVE! I SAY!!! It was love, and the fear for her safety at someplace near or in Desert of Illusion or something like that. XD PROOF THAT HE LOVES HER!! HAH!

I LOVE the whole "Link and Zelda" thing 100%. I think they're SO great together and really couldn't imagine them with anyone else to be honest. And yeah, whenever I see the ending of OoT I get sad because of how Zelda looks. You can tell she doesn't want to do it, but she knows she needs to because she owes it to him and all. Also, when Ganondorf puts Zelda in that crystal case in OoT, Link pounds on it and Ganondorf refers to Zelda as "Your precious Zelda" when talking to Link. What more proof do you need, right? Come on. Can you say "Obvious and true love?" Oh. Sorry if I copied anyone's special smilies. They just fit and I'm new here, so...

Actually, Ganondorf's quote was, "If you want to rescue Zelda, come to my castle!" which is what the bad guy usually says to the hero about the hero's love interest.
But in The Wind Waker, Ganon does say (or write in a letter) to Link, "I have kidnapped your precious Zelda." Even the bad guy ships Zelink!
