I have never read any of the Manga but from what has been told to me recently and in the past is that the artwork is very well done. From what I have seen its like a traditionally well done anime artistic form. Nothing exceptional..but good enough to where I really want to read it anyway.

I know something about American comic book artistic styles but not anime like Mangas I'm afraid.

You can read them at onemanga.com, at the moment I'm purchasing the english versions yay!

I really like the Zelda manga, but it seems so rushed and quick, which is a sad thing. For Oot they should have made 7 volumes out of it or something.

I have heard good and bad about the Zelda Mangas but have never bought any because I can't read Japanese no more than I can read Korean or Chinese. But I will look into the website you referenced and hope to find a decent English translation. Thank You.

Regarding evidence, Melora a great artist on Deviantart who is also webmaster of the website historyofhyrule.com posted this journal saying Eiji Aunoma basically made the changes to the story regarding the characters and scenes.

http://woodland-mel.deviantart.com/journal/23010652/

from Melora's Journal

And, my suspicions were correct! Another translator, a friend of a friend to the community, (I don't want people to bother them,) has tackled the interview of Aonuma and the Himekawa girls, who drew/wrote much of the Zelda manga; it states that it WAS Aonuma's idea to make changes to the story and to add characters. It says that he spoke with Miyamoto about this desire, and the girls said that they followed Nintendo's wishes on the matter. Also, it really confirmed that they did indeed do official art for the Wind Waker (the cute stained glass window looking stuff that NoA made wallpapers of.) And Aonuma also states that the Rito race, from the Wind Waker, were directly inspired by, and created because of, one of Himekawa's original flying characters from one of their earlier works. So, if you hate the way the manga deviates from the game stories; please don't, at least completely, blame Akira Himekawa for that Like most professional artists: you're working for a client and you will most likely have to follow their wishes if you want the job. I'll be posting that interview, along with the the other stuff, when the translation project moves a little further along.
[I]

We know Himekawa made several Zelda manga's which always included some ZeldaxLink fluff (exclusive the OoA and Oos Manga's)

Any idea where this interview is? Not that I doubt Melora's word or anything, but I'd really, really like to see the interview. The translation, that is.

And it said it was Aonuma & Miyamoto's idea/decision to make changes to the story... which one, do you know? All of them, or just a certain one? This information will be very useful for meeeeee.

A whole Zelda manga series would be so hot (unlike a measly one or two that's been done, blah!). And I remember what you were talking about, CF! I think it was the interview Adella was able to get her friend to do! It hasn't been posted yet I think. But if it ever does it'll be put on MelorasWorld.com where the rest of the doujin/translation stuff is.

Maybe it's just me but I don't get this thread. What about obviousness/evidence? I like ambiguity and interpretations from fan experiences! :F TP kinda shoots that outta the water in some respects, but so be it.

I think we'll just have to wait for Melora to come up with the actual translation, I only got one page translated and thats the one with 6 or 7 steps.

If you beat the Oracle Games and link them together, you get a special ending in which Zelda kisses Link and hearts fly above their heads. wink.gif

Hee! I love that ending! It's the most concrete Zelink moment, even more so than the behind-the-curtain kiss from Adventures of Link tongue.gif

Hi all!
I'm not sure if you guys played Spirit tracks yet, but basically spirit tracks literally proves zelink like more obvious than OOT or any other Zelda series in the entire history of Zelda. If you haven't, i seriously suggest you watch the playthroughs or actually getting the game, because i gaurantee you will be amazed about how much zelink there is in it. You can also see the flawless developement of Link and Zelda's relationship throughout the game, which is SOLID evidence that Nintendo supports THIS couple and not any other.

If you don't like Zelink, you should not get the game, because you'll probably be disgusted of how much cutscenes there are.

I'm surprised this place hasn't been more active given the release of Spirit Tracks. I guess the Link/Zelda thing was so obvious in that game that there was no point in talking about it.

I agree that Nintendo supports Link/Zelda and that it is generally the official couple, despite everything that's said about letting fans decide who their favorite girl is. This game is the most solid evidence I've seen in that regard; they just skipped past hints and made it blindingly obvious, almost like they were trying to prove something. :-P

I didn't get Spirit tracks, because I wasn't so Interested about it and I was still playing TP. (I got it way much later than it was released.) But shi*, seems that I missed a good piece ohmy.gif Must watch the walkthrough or something, someday.

I just hope there would be as much evidence in the new "real" (not toon) games as you say it is in Spirit tracks laugh.gif
