My post will contain several spoilers. KH - At first I thought the idea of this game was stupid. I mean, Disney RPG? Once I got a copy, I started to get hooked onto the game and I had a little bit of shock when I beat it, the game was a bit too short. The Gummi Ship system was a bit...bland. The storyline was somewhat predictable (but was good anyway), and there were some elements in the game that were useless (such as the summon system. I used it only once when I was facing the Secret Boss in Agrabah) ... and WHAT was the use of putting the disney castle on the world map if you couldn't go to, nor see it DO anything. The things I enjoyed were...well, mainly the gameplay. It's somewhat an action-RPG sort of thing which I like, at the least they could've made dungeons with puzzles and stuff like that. Anyway, I was surprised at how Disney and Square pulled it off; a unique clash, they made to make an overall good - not great - game. KH: COM - I bought this only because I wanted to know the storyline towards KH2. Anyway, I think I like this game the most out of the KH series. I think I'm the only one who liked it's 'action-strategy' battle system and the storyline can be both a big plus and a minus to it. Most of the worlds were just a repeat of KH1, which got me pissed off, but once the Organization and Namine came into the picture, that's where it takes it's plus. Who would've known that this girl was a shadow of Kairi and had the ability of rewriting memories? Anyway, the big plot twist at the end that Sora wouldn't remember anything that happened in Castle Oblivion, was the biggest shocker of the game. I won't go into Reverse-Rebirth mode because It didn't play a very big part in KH2, nor did it have anything interesting besides that you play as Riku. KHII - I'm proud to say that I was quite disappointed in this game, and I regret being so 'over-hyped' about it. They left some plotholes, unfortunatly. For example, at the end of KH:COM, Namine and Sora had a promise of their own to meet again and become real friends. But Sora and Namine never DID have a peronal encounter with each other, except for that one part in The World that Never Was with Roxas and all. Or, we can look at it this way: Since Namine is Kairi's nobody, and it can be interpreted that Sora and Namine are already friends, then what was the point of putting that in the game? Another reason is the storyline was...I don't know, kind of boring. It can be just summed up as 'I'm the only one who can save the world so I just have to beat this guy and save the world!' The biggest improvement in the game was the Gummi Ship system, it proved a fun mini-game (and the reason why I still play the game) and became more 'active'. Another improvement was the Drive system, it's pretty cool and can be VERY useful at times, although it pissed me off to train them and rush to a save point to go out into the world map before the drive gauge went down >_<. I also liked the Item Synthesis as well. But again, there were some useless factors in the game, such as the summons...AGAIN. The only reason I used them was to train them and make my file look good. Well, no not really. I played the game on Proud so I didn't really need to complete the journal to get the secret ending. KH is a good series overall, but it can use some improvements, in my point of view.

Wow. You were really disapointed by KH2 Paladin? I was so impressed by it, I can't even put into words. They improved it so much from the first game in my opinion. Battling became MUCH easier, particularly with the reaction command and the drive forms, though at the same time it still remained a challenge. The story line went into more depth and it was much more mature and darker than the first. I myself have tried playing COM and hated it because the game play style was too complicated for my tastes I'm hoping though that for KH3 that they keep Sora, Kairi, and Riku in it because I feel the game just wouldn't be the same without them, plus there are too many loose ends from KH2 to be left undone without those characters. Mmm, just a side note, but does anyone have the version of Sanctuary played backwards? I have never heard it and its supposed to be really freaky!!

*copies and pastes where she said this on another forum*
M'kay, I just KNOW somebody's gonna shoot me for not liking KHII.
...*hides*
I ADORE KH1. It was so memorable, I'm never gonna forget this game. I had so much fun, and the story was simply lovely. I mean sure, it doesn't have scene skip, nor does it have some other stuff it could definetly use, but I really thought this game was amazing. Every world's story was great, and the main story line overall was terrific! The ending made me cry.
KH CoM. I liked this one, being since I could bring it with me everywhere. I loved meeting Namine. She was so lonely...I felt so bad for her. I'm so happy Sora was nice enough to be friends with her. (Or maybe something more! XD) Also, I liked the idea of adding Riku's story in there. That was REALLY interesting, finding out what Riku had been doing after the darkness. I'm also one of the few people who enjoyed the card system. It was a challenge, and thats what I like, so I liked it a lot.
KH2...meeeh. This game to me, was too fanservice-y. They could've tried harder. The story was alright, and adding in a few things like the triangle button, Sora's forms, scene skip made it pretty good. The started off great, with Roxas. I think they did the whole thing with Roxas perfectly. After that...well, in my opinion, everything went down hill. The story started to get choppy, and the World stories were terrible. Like, for the Little Mermaid, you basically fight Ursala again even though you killed her in the first game. Things like that didn't make sense. The whole point of this game, was unlocking keyholes to find Riku/Kairi/Other stuff, which is basically undoing all your work in KH1. Booo! So much more I could complain about...but I'm not up for it.
So yeah, KH2 was my least favorite KH game. ^^

*shoots Amaya* Rofl, no, no I won't! I like you too much to shoot you, even if I disagree with you! Okay, here goes my response/thoughts: KH1: The story was incredible. I loved Sora's quest to find Riku and Kairi and how he delt with Riku's betrayal. The ending made me sob buckets of tears, lol. However, I do admit that some of the worlds really annoyed me. For instance, I did not like at all Wonderland, Deep Jungle, or Monstro. I HATED them. The worlds were poorly designed and the story in those places realy dragged >_< I also hated the battle style in Atlantica. It was just so friggen annoying to try and fight as a merperson! Ursula was mega hard! Overall, the game was decent though, I adored it for the most part. CoM: Now, don't you shoot me for this Amaya, but I haven't played CoM. I've never been able to get my hands on a copy of my own. What I have played was a bit from my friend letting me play hers, and it drove me insane. I really, really, REALLY hated the card battle system. It was just sooooooooo annoying. But the story line was awesome, as it was in KH1. KH2: Woo kay. I'm gonna try and not give you an earful (eyeful? ) because I really loved this game. There was so much vast improvement from KH1, I'm not even sure where to start. M'kay, lets see, battle styles were muchly improved. The Drive system was brilliant, as was the reaction command, and I loved that they introduced limit commands for joined attacks. Fighting became more fun, and a whole lot easier, though Summons are still basically usless. I for one was pleased with the Atlantica level. I liked doing the songs instead of being forced to suffer the agony of fighting as a merboy again! Though I wish they had done Kiss the Girl. . . *cough* And about Ursula being back? When she first appears to Ariel, Ariel says "Didn't my father banish you?" Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds to me that after Sora finished with the octopus woman, Triton banished her, instead of her being killed. *shrug* Mebbe I'm wrong, but that's what I thought. I actually liked the world stories. I thought it was so neat to have Sora stuck in the middle of them, so you think you know how things are going to work out, but at the same time you don't. I wasn't fond of the THREE HOUR INTRO *dies* as much because it took FOREVER to get through, though I did like getting Roxas' story. Okay, I've typed enough for now, given you plenty to mull over

KH: I loved KH for its simplicity and the nice storyline. It had wonderful music, but the gummi ships were too simple and the fighting got bland after awhile. The replayability was kinda bad as well; I lost interest after I'd finished it. COM: Wonderful music, as usual. The battles were more intensive and I was impressed with the depth with which you were forced to fight on. Definitely the hardest of all the Kh Games. KH2: I loved the Roxas part like Amaya but a lot of the other things like the rest of the storyline became a bit meddled. New worlds had storylines that were alright but some of the older ones were a bit hmm...I especially was disappointed with the PotC cutscenes which seemed to lack the depth and engaging of the movie. Music was still good, though arrangements of PotC are to be complained about again. Loved the nerw valor forms and all, and the triangle button adds a new sense of challenges. Proud, at the start seemed a bit overwhelmingly hard, but after that it started proving to be a pushover (ie. after I levelled up a bit. Guess how many times I died against Axel in struggle match? 5 times. Yes I was swearing. But then, like I said, it gets easier. I agree with Amaya-it is a bit of a disappointment. I'm hoping they release the Final Mix in US (so I cna somehow pirate it over ) and get the CoM remake for PS2.
