Bleh dry.gif Either way you look at it, school uniforms suck! I'm glad I never got stuck with them, though at my Middle School they got em the year after I left! tongue.gif

Teehee laugh.gif I never suffered tongue.gif You are jealous me thinks. Heehee. Well, school uniforms could always be worse though. Be grateful they weren't something truly horrid!

Frankly, now that I'm not going to be wearing a uniform anymore, I'm just annoyed by the fact that I do not own a large wardrobe of showy clothes. Just... t-shirts. And jeans. That I used to wear on week-ends.

Well, at least I won't be called a slut, but it's hard to say whether any heads will turn. tongue.gif

Yeah, that's always the downside I suppose. But then, I rather like my t-shirt and jeans biggrin.gif I'm probably the only girl on the planet that dislikes cloths shopping and shoe shopping. I despise it! laugh.gif Especially shoes. I will wear sandles at all costs because they're comfy and easy to put on and you don't have to look for friggen socks!

Not the only girl. I'm the one who sits next to the guy who's dragged along to carry the bags and has long meaningful conversations about the purpose of our existence.

Shopping? Brrrrr...

Well, still, most guys are happy to come along with us (since they have me while the others are trying stuff on tongue.gif ), since they get to tease my friends off because 1) they're taking so much time, and 2) they get to give their input on which clothes the girls should buy (they usually take the skimpiest), which makes them feel important.

I tell you. Men. At least most of our guy friends are cool enough that they can bother themselves to discuss the meaning of life and the size of the universe with me.

Plus, they give me license to enter the EBGames, since if they weren't there, the other girls would avoid that store like the plague (sissies dry.gif ).

I must admit I don't have many guy friends sad.gif It's very sad. So, I'm the one who ususally takes the role of giving advice on outfits when my friends drag me off shopping. I'm about as much help to them as an oar on an ocean liner, lol laugh.gif

I should have more guy friends though. I just tend to be kind of shy around guys at first.

Meh. Sadly, they hang around us because my friends are girly. I myself am pretty enough, but because I can carry my own stuff, it's like I'm of no interest.

What up with that, anyway? CLEARLY, I'm the only one who actually talks to them as they wait AND goes into the EBGames with them.

And yet, they come along because my girl friends (who are so impossibly girly it's sometimes repulsing) asked them.

They wouldn't go shopping for videogames with me, I know.

*grumble grumble*

Frankly, I prefer a guy's company to a girl's. Girls can be so flaky sometimes. ninja.gif At least guys are straight forward enough. And they don't backstab you. They only backstab their guy friends. cool.gif

I have no idea!!! Why don't guys like the girls that actually talk to them and stuff? It doesn't make any sense! They want the girl who has absolutely nothing to say to them!! Should this be telling us something? huh.gif

Lol, well, a good portion of my girl friends are like me and love anime and video games, so I can't say my girl friends are flaky. I haven't had much experiance with guys as friends, which is kind of sad sad.gif I wish I had more guy friends, but I don't.

Yes. I feel so lonely, so lonely, so lonely and sadly alone... *sings along with Kim Jong Il* laugh.gif

Say, DH, explain to us why gamer guys are so very much interested in girls who aren't gamers themselves and love to spend money, while preferring to remain friends with the ones who actually understand what they're talking about when they say "i jost went 4 rejen at SM in WoW, but them troll lvl 45 kicked my @$$"? huh.gif

Please enlighten us, DH. You're a guy, after all. link1.gif

Ohh boy. More psychology for me to do.

Technically, you could call it an escape; in the hypothetical situation, these boys probably are looking for somethign different to things other than games, owing to the fact that they probably have been playing games they're whole life by now (or a good deal of it) and are now trying to find somethign else to...fill the gap? No. That's not it. But partially. As well, if you take video game stereotypes, you'll find that most girls are the ones that need to be saved, or have many aspects that are still (while slightly androgynous) still associated with girls. Thus, they try to find people that sort of...fit the stereotype? Not sure. Might be. Or maybe, fit the character that they really adore.

CGM, I'll try out an experiment. Do you dislike wearing skirts? If you do, it can be like...maybe a guy will take it as being "not so girly" and then tend to look for someone who associates more with "girly" stuff, simply because of the stereotype that they like. So obviously, you are looking for someone who says screw stereotypes (don't look at me). It's just in the hypothetical situation.

Besides "escapism" you might also find "players" "pervertism" and "peer-pressurism".
