Actually, I think you did ask me about music already. I answered that I loved re-orchestrations of the soundtrack and that the Indigo-Go's are the best band I know. In fact, this is what I said: | QUOTE | Well, I know this might sound as if I'm being "patriotic", but I really enjoy any orchestrated version of the Legend of Zelda soundtracks. Especially the remixes one can find on the net. Some people out there have real talent.
If you were looking for an adherence to a band in particular, I'd have to go with the Indigo-Go's. They're jazzy and relaxed. Then again, I don't know many other bands. I'm not as in touch with your world. I only know it thanks to this (highly expensive --shame on you, CM!) laptop. Do remember that. |
So, as far as favourite songs go, Ballad of the Wind Fish is probably top of the list. I'm not familiar with songs in your world, as I wouldn't know where to sample them.

Alright. As with green (mix of blue, which is cool, and yellow, which is warm), purple is either a warm or a cool colour. Let me explain. If there is more red in the purple, then it is warmer. If there is more blue, it is cooler. In the case of green, if there is more yellow, it is warmer. If there is more blue, it is cooler. By convention, though, in the eventuality that these things are not visible or specified, green and purple are both considered cool colours. Hope that helped a little.

Every season has something to recommend it. I have great memories in every one of them.
As a result, I don't really have a favourite season. If I were to pick objectively, winter isn't my thing, because chainmail isn't exactly the best isolator from the cold. Besides, it's heavy and makes me sink into the snow.
Summer, on its part, is often a little too hot for the whole running around slaying monsters thing. But it has its perks, like stream waters being warm enough to wash in them, as opposed to every other season.
I guess I'm partial to late spring (once the snow is gone) and early autumn (before it gets too cold). Both seasons have ideal weather. Often they're warm enough but not suffocating (ideal for saving the world). And the air is clear, too.
I guess if you're asking me which season I find, well, prettiest, the answer would be: all of them.
Winter is pristine, clear, bright, chilly but beautiful. It's the cold blanket that promises the start of a new cycle.
Spring is even better. The rivers swell with melting snow, the trees and flowers are in bloom. The grass is at its greenest and sweetest (as Epona attests every year).
Summer is warm, strong; the fields are dry and easy to run through (if it isn't too hot). Water is rarer, so the dirt roads are dry and easier to tread.
As for autumn, it's comforting, cool, with bright colours that make you want to stay outside and watch the clear blue sky and the bright orange leaves fall.
I like every season.

Hi, Link. I have some questions; Where do you keep all of your items? It seems amazing on how you can just grab a ball and chain out of nowhere, while carrying a ton of other things... Also, the items in each dungeon/temple must have been there for a really long time. Being used a lot, too. Aren't you afraid they will break or something? o_o They must be ancient, and rusty, and all. Do you trust using them all the time? I would be especially worried using the hook/clawshot, if I were you. :x

Eh, in the case of Twilight Princess' weapon carrying, I can say it's thanks to Midna. I don't know what she did with the items, but she stored them in some sort of parallel dimension or something. You can see her sending off my sword and shield when I took them from Ordon while still in wolf form.
Mostly, I think, Shigeru and Eiji provided me with a bottomless pouch. It can carry everything and anything, and doesn't get much heavier with time.
The items themselves are often as new. It's true they've been in dungeons or in other peoples' keep for a long time, but they're well-preserved. The chests they're kept in essentially preserve them from aging.
Of course, after long ages of time, some items grow old (i.e. Dominion Rod). But as can be expected, a hero's items are always liable of being restored by simple magic.
And they don't break, because I'm careful with the tools of my trade. Don't worry about my safety: I always run trial tests with the items before using them in potentially life-threatening situations. What kind of hero would I be, to use an item I haven't tested?
You don't see it, but I do train with items. You can't be a pro as Spinner-surfing without a certain amount of behind-the-scenes practice!
Hope that answers your question! Fear not: safety first, heroics second!

Hi, Link. I have a couple of questions for you. They might be a little complex, so try not to get too confused, okay? *grins good-naturedly*
1. Have you ever felt like the people of Hyrule rely on you too much? In other words, have you ever felt like saying, "Screw this; why doesn't someone else save Hyrule for a change?"
2. Lately, I've noticed a bit of a trend. When I'm watching a show, playing a videogame, etc., at one point, one or more of the heroes are forced to fight the evil sides of themselves. Now, these evil copies are nearly impossible to defeat. Not only do they know your every move, but they know of your insecurities and weaknesses. They'll say things that will get under your skin. (An example would be in Teen Titans. In one of the episodes, one of the things Evil Cyborg says to Cyborg while they're fighting is, "Go ahead. Run crying home to Mommy. Oh, that's right. You don't have a mommy.")
Now, I know that there was no dialogue during your battle with Dark Link (I'm referring to the one in Ocarina of Time, since I've never played A Link to the Past), but if there was, what would Dark Link have said to you?

Whoa, deep stuff there.
Well, first off, I never felt as if I should just give up on Hyrule. There was always something in my quests that involved me, whether it was a curse, someone I cared for being in danger, or some other event that forced me to take arms. The fact that I ultimately and always begin to care for the greater good (it's my weakness, if you will) often forces me to keep moving and do something to help.
It's true there are talented heroes in Hyrule, and they do play some roles, but let's face it: I'm the holder of the Triforce of Courage; I'm a natural with the sword, and I have some skills in strategizing. I'm born to save Hyrule. It's in my blood. To give up would never cross my mind.
Secondly, what would Dark Link have said to me... Good question. He's nearly impossible to read, which is saying something since he's mostly 'me'. I suppose he'd make comments about my often unknown origins --my lack of a so-called identity--, but if he were to attack me and seek to hurt, he'd have to threaten all that I hold dear: my friends, those I love, those who need me... I define myself through them and through the protection I offer them. Without them, I am just Link, a boy with nary a past.
If Dark were to threaten those I held dear, he'd be destroying all that I am.
I hope that made sense, and I hope Dark doesn't stumble on this.
And nope, I don't have a last name. Zelda doesn't either. "Harkinian" was her last name in the TV series, but is not considered canon by many fans. As for Ganondorf's "Dragmire", it's actually a mistake that occurred during the translation at some point during an earlier game development; "Dragmire" became "Ganondorf".

Thanks, Link (at least, I think it was a compliment). I tend to ask deep questions.

That makes sense. Basically, if Dark Link was hurting your friends, he would also be hurting you. (I personally wouldn't put it past him; evil doppelgangers are clever like that. They use your insecurities and weaknesses to their advantage.)
Anyway, I have another question. From the way I see it, the Zelda series has a total of ten games so far: 1. The Legend of Zelda 2. The Adventure of Link 3. A Link to the Past 4. Link's Awakening 5. Ocarina of Time 6. Majora's Mask 7. Oracle of Ages 8. Oracle of Seasons 9. The Wind Waker 10. Twilight Princess But there's these other games called Four Sword Adventure and Minish Cap. Are those games part of the Zelda series, or are they just extra bonuses for the fans?

Are they part of the series, you asked. It all depends on your criterion. If you define a "real" Legend of Zelda game by who made it (Nintendo versus third-party developers), or by its location (in Hyrule or outside of Hyrule), how many players can plug in at once (one, two, four), the list changes.
For instance, if you decide to be broad and define a LoZ game by its publisher (always Nintendo) and its main character (me), then all the games fit in.
If you think the only "official" games as opposed to bonuses are the ones that were produced exclusively by Nintendo's EAD, then the following games are good and all the others are side-games:
Legend of Zelda Adventure of Link A Link to the Past Link's Awakening Ocarina of Time Majora's Mask The Wind Waker Four Swords/Four Swords Adventures Twilight Princess
All the others were at least co-developed, or entirely developed, by a third party, mostly Flagship.
If you count an official game as one that occurs in Hyrule, then the following games fit in and all the others are side-quests:
Legend of Zelda Adventure of Link A Link to the Past Ocarina of Time The Wind Waker Four Swords/Four Swords Adventures The Minish Cap Twilight Princess Phantom Hourglass
If you define a LoZ game as one that you play on a home console as opposed to a handheld, then it would be
Legend of Zelda Adventure of Link A Link to the Past Link's Awakening Ocarina of Time Majora's Mask The Wind Waker Four Swords Adventures Twilight Princess
As you see, it all depends on your definition of what a Zelda game is. Generally, all installments that begin with the main title "The Legend of Zelda" (with the sole exception being Adventure of Link, whose main title is "Zelda II") are official installments in the series, and the sub-titles are merely their specific name, with no discernment on whether they are side-stories or part of the main story.
You'll have to decide for yourself if you consider those games as being main games or merely side-games.
