| QUOTE (Angel Zelda @ Jul 26 2007, 06:57 PM) | | Hey Link, do you ever get frustrated that Ganondorf just won't die? |
I think he gets frustrated that I keep reincarnating every single time he doesn't die. Poor Ganny.

Wedding plans? I'm not even engaged to the woman yet and you're talking about... I believe Amaya asked the same question before. Here was my answer. | QUOTE (Link @ Jun 8 2007, 01:34 AM) |
Um.
You mean, how will I ask Zelda, the princess of Hyrule, holder of the Triforce of Wisdom, who happens to be well-versed in martial and magic arts, to marry me?
Are you insane? Knowing her, it'd be a sneak attack on me. I wouldn't put it past her.
In all seriousness, Amaya, I simply don't know. I've never really, um, thought about that. Yet. Until now.

...
Before anything, Zelda and I agree that Hyrule comes first. It would be risky for its hero to settle down. What if something bad happened? I'd have to leave again.
In due time, perhaps, Zelda will ambush me-- I mean, we'll make that decision. |
Frankly, I'm not even there yet. Zelda is busy making sure Ganon doesn't come back, and I'm busy destroying more bulblins... Marriage is not in the forseeable future.
Besides, I can't discuss weddings and all that. I'm male! If you want to talk about weddings (involving me or anyone else), you should go to the one who wears the dress in our relationship. I'm sure she'll be more than glad to talk about everything, down to the colour of the napkin-holders.
As far as I'm concerned, weddings... scare me. :glances at Zelda nervously:

Eeehhh... If I can't think of that sort of thing hypothetically in our present time, I certainly can't think of it hypothetically for a theoretical time. And the questioning worsens. First we're talking about weddings (!), and then we sink into having children! I'm an adventurer! Commitment isn't in my nature. I already explained I didn't think this through. I kind of make things up as I go. Children. Wow. Don't get me wrong. I love children. But having some of my own? That's pretty big. It would change my life (and Zelda's, assuming she wants children--which she probably does, needing royal heirs and all, but we haven't gotten to the engagement talk, let alone the do-you-want-children talk, and hopefully we won't anytime soon because... it's more freedom for the both of us).

Well, I think that this question has already indirectly been answered, but are you scared of Zelda? As in, you fear her getting mad at you? I know you have the Triforce of Courage and all, but there's gotta be something you're scared of! And if its not Zelda, what is it? Just curious

I think I already answered questions about my fears. Here it was:
| QUOTE (Link @ Aug 24 2006, 11:50 PM) | The scariest thing I ever encountered has to be...
Darunia dancing.
Now don't get me wrong. Darunia's a great, er, Goron. Except that all his pounding and jumping really terrified me. I was just a kid, and this giant boulder-like man begins thrashing and bouncing...
I thought the mountain was going to come down and make jelly out of all of us.
At least he had the decency to stop when he saw me about to flee. |
All joking aside, I'm not afraid of making Zelda angry with me. She may act all tough, but she's really gentle most of the time. I'd be more scared of hurting her than being attacked by her. The only thing that is mildly intimidating about Zelda is her exceptional intelligence. And the fact that she can sense when people talk about or desperately need her. Oh, and the telepathy thing. And the premonitions. But other than that, she's just your average beautiful woman. ... Yeah. Actually, speaking of the Triforce of Courage, it's not that it prevents me from being afraid, but rather that it gives me the strength to overcome my fears (usually, I'm afraid that harm might befall those I care for, by the way). Which is what courage is all about.

I think that emoticon helps her figure out your love life And I'm sorry, I read that post about your fear of Darunia dancing but forgot about it. I was mostly just asking if you were scared of Zelda And I'm glad you are able to overcome your fears and protect those you care about. Its just one reason why we all love you so much (though of course, we don't like you as much as Zelda ) I agree with you about the intelligence thing. Having her know every time you talk about her....that'd be pretty scary. At least she knows you will never talk about her behind her back, as she'd find out anyway (not that you would or anything....I think the results would be kinda scary for you if you did ) Ooh, I remember my question! Was Navi ever really annoying, or did you just learn to tolerate it? Or did she never really annoy you?

Link, have you ever heard of the thirty-minute-long anime movie called "Voices of a Distant Star"? If you want to watch it, you can find it here. It's a real tearjerker. Since the movie ends at a cliffhanger, how do you think it ended (assuming that you've watched it)?

Navi wasn't really annoying. She tended to nag at me if I spent too much time fooling around, but she wasn't annoying. I think what players consider annoying is not having the option to skip what she says at the beginning of each game. It's useful the first time, but gets long-winded every time afterwards. As for Voices of A Distant Star, I watched it and must admit I was a little confused for a moment (I am unfamiliar with space travel), but am, as you know, a little too understanding of time travel. Just thinking about it makes my brain hurt. I'm meant to hack at things, not ponder the fourth dimension. That said, if anyone knows how much of a pain time can be, it's me. I'm the hero of it, after all. I think it ends with her returning after a long time, meeting him as an old man. It's a sad story, I think, choosing to go so far away in time from someone you love. The distance really is unimaginable, and all the more painful because her lack of perspective on the real passage of time keeps the wounds open. Much like travelling seven years into the future. Okay, maybe now we should focus on cheerful things. I'm not fond of depression.
