QUOTE (Zeruda)

Nintendo was smart enough, I think, to put an end to the male/female Sheik debate (or at least they tried....) by giving the fans a second Sheik- a female one. This way, F!Sheik fans can enjoy TP!Sheik, while M!Sheik fans can enjoy OoT!Sheik. smile.gif

I'd consider TP-design Shiek merely as an update on the design of the original. Like Link and Zelda's new costumes. It seems to me too confusing that they'd make two Sheik's: a female and a male. ( Especially since Melee referred to Sheik as "she" )

Exactly. Now, to debate:

If you think about it, the whole purpose of Sheik was to hide Zelda, so Nintendo wouldn't have given the slightest hint to the players that Sheik is a female in OoT. In TP, they were going to use Sheik, but decided not to. Notice that everything in TP is more realistic. Therefore, Link is more realistic, the scenery is more realistic, Zelda is more realistic, and Sheik is more realistic. As much as the graphics in OoT were good, they weren't very real. Nintendo probably realized that most people knew of Skeik being Zelda, so they made a design to show that once and for all. They later decided to not use Sheik as she wasn't necessary. It was all about midna and the Twilight, no use for Sheik. About Sheik's lower voice, you could just lower your own voice and it would be lower, also Zelda's voice might not have been exactly a high voice. Don't say that she has a high voice because of her screams. Anyone can scream high if cought off guard (or in melee, if you're exerting pressure doing something, some people give a high grunt or sound). I have tons more things to cancel out each and every aspect, but I have to go, so I'll continue later and pile up even more evidence for an essay I will work on.

Oi.... This debate is getting rather tiresome. Pictures don't mean anything, so you can't really go on that. She's wearing armour under the suit obviously to protect herself in battle (if she didn't wear anything, then she'd pretty much be hacked into pieces). Think back to the Middle Ages; knights and warriors and such HAD to wear armour for proper defense in battle. And, because the armour was designed more for the men, there really wouldn't be too much for Zelda to choose from. It's not like she would deliberately go out and get something that was custom fit, because that would just be giving her image away. It's all part of a disguise which she is using to hide her identity. Therefore, Sheik, being that she's Zelda, is a girl.

In the Super Smash bros Brawl, its proven the fact that Sheik is a girl and her new designs are more feminine than before. She has her one braided-hair and her b***bs.
