Bad ass in that her costumes look authentic, like they were pulled directly from the game, or made by some kind of fancy professional tailor tongue.gif

Well... I think Sheik is Zelda's "male alter-ego" because when Ruto is talking to Link about how she was saved... she says:

"If you see Sheik, give him my thanks, OK?"

Why would a boy wear such tight pants? Maybe Zelda didn't realize that boys don't really wear tight pants. O.o Then again, back then men did wear relatively tight leggings, huh? However I think it was usually covered by either a long shirt or a tunic... (Like Link!)

Sheik is Zelda = a girl. Thats a fact. Remember one of those Gossip Stones saying "Despite her eligant appearance, Princess Zelda is actually a tomboy!" Noticed those bandages wraped around her chest? Those were covering up her b**bies. laugh.gif I like Zelda in her Shiek outfit, because she wanted to help Link in his adventures and not being the damsel in distress all the time.

Agreed! Why else would she have so much bandaging there? Zelda was pretty thin to begin with, and in light of that it wouldn't be too hard to hide. Plus a bit of magical skill to add to the allusion. Besides...she's Zelda inside IMO, so what does it matter how she dresses? She acts like Zelda. ( Hanging around and watching Link, particularily after the Water Temple )

I also agree. The amount of guts she showed as Sheik was remarkable. How cool must it have been for Link to realize she was with him the entire time, instead of sitting around just waiting for him.

I hope the Shiek transformation of Zelda will be in the Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I read on some interview that it was comfirmed Sheik along with Ganondorf will be in Brawl.

That Reminds me. Do you remember watching the Disney movie Mulan? Mulan diguised herself as a boy and even without her armor you cant tell the difference. biggrin.gif Kinda similar to Zelda's Shiek disguise dont you think?

I would totally agree. XD You can always tell a femanine face.

What makes me curious is why people throw such a fit over the "Sheik's gender issue." Are they in denial that Sheik is technically a girl? XD I think that's how it started--because there seems to be some sort of fan girl club regarding Sheik.

I'm not sure either...I think it's the same story as the Link x Dark Link thing, and especially the Malon x Link thing....no proof and little proof in the latter case, but each has a fan following.

Now that Sheik has made her appearance in Brawl..I'm definately voting she's a girl. It's likely the TP version of Sheik, but she has curves, a braid and a feminine face.

Yeah, I'm very happy to see Shiek again. I love Shieks new designs, it makes her more girly than ever. I'm also glad they still Shiek is still Zelda's alter ego.

They'll probably say that it's not actually Sheik, because Sheik is a boy because omg he and Link need to have hott yaoi boi secks... or something blink.gif

I don't know, I don't understand the yaoi fangirls. Actually, I just don't understand yaoi >_<

Oh! But I heard this silly rumour somewhere: Sheik is the only son of the King of Hyrule, forced to play a female role as "Princess Zelda" because of the King's desire for a girl. After fleeing with Impa, he was finally free to act like a guy, and to fight Ganon like he wanted to in the first place! Then when forced to "reveal" himself to Link, he used magic to make himself appear biologically female, so he wouldn't have to explain that his dad was a little nuts.

Your thoughts?

That is a bunch of crap. (To put it bluntly. XD)

I've heard some crazy stuff, but this tops it. If that "rumor" were true, then they would have definitely said something about that regarding the plot. And that has absolutely nothing to do with Ocarina of Time. And besides Zelda has always been Princess Zelda--why would the creators change it just for that game? Also Zelda said to Link when she revealed herself, "I'm sorry to have met you in disguise", or something to that extent. Also, it didn't seem like Sheik was "forced", it seemed like Zelda revealed herself out of her own free will. Nothing was pushing her--because that was her only defense against Ganondorf--why should she be in any hurry. Sheik wouldn't "forcefully reveal his girly nature" if the king was already dead and he was completely safe from Ganondorf. There would be no point. Sheik is Zelda... not the other way around. (Wow, I didn't know these fan girls would go so far. o.o) By the way--kings have a stronger desire to have male heirs, because they are more "capable" of succeeding the throne. If the king of Hyrule had a son, I think he would have been just fine with that.

And I don't understand why some girls tend to ogle over yaoi either. It's just some fake "fantasies" thrown together--it's completely irrational.

I really don't understand why some fans deny the truth that Shiek is Zelda and Shiek is a girl. I think Shiek suits Zelda pretty well. I mean it makes Zelda more a warrior than a damsel-in-distress waiting for the hero to save her. dry.gif

Also its good for her to share her adventures with Link.

in Manga Ocarina of Time, Zelda said to Link: "Sharing adventures with you is indeed a pleasure".

Exactly! I mean, it's got to be more than a little frustrating to be imprisoned while your kingdom is being torn apart, and if Zelda's anything, she's fiercely loyal to her people. And as Sheik, she could go out and help those people, all the while hiding the Triforce of Wisdom all but under Ganondorf's nose laugh.gif

I'll admit it, I am one of the few people who still firmly and blindly deny that OoT Sheik and OoT Zelda are the same person. Why? Well I'd rather not say. But in either event, I don't think they're the same. And my mind probably won't be changed. And yes, I dislike yaoi as well, so it has nothing to do with that.
