I've played the original LoZ on the Wii Virtual Console if that counts for playing the classics. I'm looking for ALttP, but haven't been able to find many copies.
I've played and own every Zelda game up to date, the classics will always have a special place in my heart. Come to think of it, I actually really like Zelda II. Sure it's different in a ways, but uniqueness is good and it was really challenging and fun. i still play the original and other classics all the time, some of the best games ever.

I am trying to beat them! I'm in the third dungeon in the first Legend of Zelda. I plan to try out Adventure of Link, and I plan to finish it even if it takes all my life. (I don't mean ''spend all my life in it'', more ''even if I play a minute a year for 20000 years'', just an example. Can't live that long, ya know!?) Getting close to the end with ALttP and I have started Link's Awakening!
I think Nintendo had subliminal messages in those games since normally I don't get hooked by 2D games. Not enough to actually try and finish them anyways. o_o
I mean, Link isn't even all that good looking in the official art for those games. What keeps me coming back? Maybe the music... And Ganon in two of these cases.
I haven't gotten ahold of AoL yet, but the original LoZ is HARD! I still haven't beaten it! Alas, I have been spoiled by the ease of most of today's video games.
