Title: Minish Cap...
Description: What did you think of the Minish Cap?
Dirty Harry - June 15, 2006 02:26 PM (GMT)
Ok...I felt sooo sorry for the handheld section, I had to write this.
What do you think of LoZ: Minish Cap? From the reviews it has been credited to have the same Zelda feel to it that OoT and MM had. I, personally was thoroughly impressed, and the little bits of LxZ in in were great! Sooo...tell us...what do you think? PS: Has anyone completed it yet? I haven't...so sad... :(
Hylian Cetra - June 16, 2006 04:51 AM (GMT)
I completed it =) yes it was a really awesome game ^.^ and the Zelink bits were indeed squeeable ;3
I personally loved it! and I got all the kinstones =D (except 3 green ones <.< grrr *smacks tingle*)
I don't know, this one had a fair lenght, but it seemed short because it only had like what... 6 dungeons? (compared to the ALTTP remake that had 13 dungeons Dx!! <3) but it was a great game nonetheless. =)
The only thing was that I really don't like Vaati -__- Ganon 4 life for me baby ;] There's no other villian worthy xD
Dirty Harry - June 18, 2006 03:00 PM (GMT)
Lol. I was owning in the Wind Area, and I forgot to save, and now I have to do it all again...
It is a bit short; five dungeons, I think, or maybe six but the dungeons also have other parts outside of them like mini-dungeons in themselves, bringing it around to around eight dungeons. In my opinion, they were all really challenging (I suck at the problem solving; I love the fighting and the Zelink!) but the massive amount of side quests that one can do is amazing. Just getting the Magic Boomerang from Tingle's family is great, for starters, and also the Mirror Shield too (I have to get around to that sometime...)
So...what else do other people have to say? And I still need to go and kick some Vaati butt, and then review his "performance".

I completed it! I was VERY pleased with it! Not too hard. x3
I loved the opening ZeLink-ish scenes. Zelda is SO CUTE!!!! x3
*When Zelda is following you, I kept making it look like they were kissing xD*
It was such a fun little game! The turning-small made it pretty new and interesting, and the Kinstones and statues were very fun. The people had funny dialogue, as we all know and love in the LoZ series. If Vaati wasn't a squished pixel, I bet he'd be kinda cute....x3

Yeah, I think it really revitalised the LoZ series, just kept it alive after a bit of mixed reception with WW. Though it can be argued that MC had a mixed reception too...

Sadly, I'm one of the few who never bought this game. And I call myself a Zelda fan <_<.
Althought, at one point I did go over to my local Future Shop and checked out the gameboy section, and in the little gameboy on the wall had the Minish Cap! So I took the time to try it out...
At first, I didn't like it because of that annoying thing over your head. And how it kept on saying things like "You have to shrink to save the minish!", and dear lord how I wanted to stab it. But as the game progressed I started to like the whole idea of shrinking part. It's just the hat-thing I don't like.
Oh well, I suppose I'll go download a ROM for my emulator.

I freaking love this game. Wanna know how deep this obession runs? I convinced the guys working at EB Games to give me the display they had for it. XD It's in my room still!
I played this game my whole junior year rather than, y'know, bothering to study for my SATs. Hehe. But it's just so dern cute. I love turning Minish and fusing Kinstones.
Lutearina - August 27, 2006 04:40 PM (GMT)
Wow........How'd you convince them to do THAT?! :D
Dirty Harry - September 2, 2006 04:01 PM (GMT)
Obviously, she's Zelda. She can convince anyone to do anything. How did you feel, being a stone? :P
Neji Hyuga - September 5, 2006 06:02 AM (GMT)
This game was not one bit challenging at all it was fun but not challenging at all...............i liked the ultimate sword!!!!!1
Princess Zelda - September 5, 2006 02:52 PM (GMT)
It is not pleasant, mentally challenged DH. Trust me. Been there, done that.
gr33n_sl33ves - September 10, 2006 07:08 PM (GMT)
When Zelda was running around with Link at the beginning, it was like she was cracked out on sugar (in my mind, I kept picturing her making this face -> XD while flailing her arms around). Heh, I should probably get around to finishing it one of these days ^-^;;

lol, I pretty much just walked in and asked. After the promotion is over, I think they just throw them out anyway.

It coulda been worse. :P Afternoon Delight was stuck in my head for quite a while, though. And Vaati likes to talk too much about how he primps.
gr33n_sl33ves - September 24, 2006 06:37 AM (GMT)
It could have been worse. You could have been sold to a home & garden type store, and then bought by Britney Spears and put into her bedroom, where you would have been forced to watch her and K-Fed make babies x_x
Hylia Princess - October 23, 2006 05:12 PM (GMT)
I thought it was a cute game and really brings out the Zelda and Link relationship. The beginning says it all.
gr33n_sl33ves - October 23, 2006 08:12 PM (GMT)
Link and Zelda being childhood friends is a cute idea, and Zelda was absolutely precious in that game. She got Link a shield even though she could have gotten pretty things instead ^o^
HyruleMaster - June 12, 2007 12:46 AM (GMT)
Minish Cap was adoreable I think... but the thing I loved the best (aside from the new ZeLink presented), was VAATI!! Ohmygosh!! I love that guy! Ezlo actually made me laugh. And I think that this game had the best music out of all the handheld LoZ games. I really enjoyed Dark Hyrule Castle, and the final round of the main boss music (I always sing along. ^_^).
gr33n_sl33ves - August 8, 2007 08:44 AM (GMT)
Hah, and I thought I was the only one to sing along
Vaati! Yes, the little purple dude doesn't get enough love! I adored how flamboyantly evil he was, with his little hair toss and cape twirl. He's the cutest little Zelda villain ever! *pinches Vaati's cheeks*
Hylian Sword Master - August 16, 2009 09:19 PM (GMT)
I just finished the game. I was at a friends house and he was showing off his GBA emulator, and showing me this site with tons of games and I see Minish Cap. I'm like, right now, send me the emulator and the link. I have to admit, I am pretty disappointed with the amount of dungeons. But other than that, it was all very nice, very colorful. And sorry, but Vaati is awesome. I'm sorry. Vaati for the win.
