Ahhh! So hopefully all of you have seen the trailers. If not, I shall direct you here:

http://www.zeldauniverse.net/zelda-news/ni...ht-have-missed/

All of the Zelda info from today (technically yesterday) has been posted by Zelda Universe, and I AM SO EXCITED.

BLAH. Why must we wait a whole year?!?! Dx

Anyways, I'm hoping we score some real Zelink here, though I don't wanna get my hopes up (cuz I certainly did for Twilight Princess, and was disappointed at the presence of Ilia and what a wasted opportunity it was. Zelda was freaking GORGEOUS).

SPOILERS AHOY BTW

Apparently the girl in the concept art is INDEED the Master Sword! We don't know her real name yet, but yeah.

And it has been said before that this game takes place before OoT... not sure where I read that, but I could be wrong. However, it makes sense since this girl is the Master Sword, and this game may center around its creation.

Anyways, DISCUSS!

What are hopes for the game (zelink, environment, storyline-wise), and etc?

EDIT:

A few plot details here:

In this game, Link has lived his entire life in an island above the clouds known as Skyloft; however, one day, he discovers a land below, but realizes that it is being overrun by evil forces and is forced to go there. As such, the young hero must spend his journey traveling back and forth between these two regions: Skyloft and the land below.

The Skyward Sword, which is the girl shown on the poster on last year's E3, possesses intelligence and will assume the semi-human form in the teaser poster. Eventually, the Skyward Sword will become the Master Sword. The Skyward Sword is also the driving force behind Link's traveling between the two lands.

Well, I'm not sure about having to wait a whole year... more like... three years. XD Remember how often Twilight Princess was delayed?

I don't have much to say because there aren't enough details... but the sky world really reminds me of the Ooca(?). And if it does indeed take place before OoT, then it makes perfect sense. Because apparently the sky people were responsible for life on the surface according to the legends in Twilight Princess, if I recall correctly. And I can't think of this game fitting anywhere else on the Zelda time line... since it's in such a strange place compared to the others. And it seems really random if you think about it taking place after the preceding games. But it makes perfect sense if you think of it taking place before OoT, since OoT was considered the first "event" in the Zelda time line.

Before OoT? seriously? Sounds a bit strange to me but I guess that's cool anyway .
Anyway I'm really hoping for zelink!

They didint include much of that in the previous game, TP, so it would be great for me if SS had... Like.. Hasn't be so big thing but even a big amount of small hints would be appreciated so I could be giggling while playing SS xDD <3

I'd want more Obvious and better than a smile to each other though, I seriously know that they wont kiss or hug or anything but some litle words or something can express much too..

The hints what TP had were lovely though, like the part where they were holding hands and the one where they looked at each other in the field and because it was "awkward" i guess, they slowwly looked away... Both were in the end i remember. but they didnt last long.
I also hope in SS you could see Zelda much more. :link:

So that was about Zelink.
Then my other hopes about SS...

I hope there would be a some kind of great feeling like the dark and mysterious one in some parts of TP, I loved it the storyline was just like made for me sometimes.

I don't really like the sky as a element, I love earth and others way more, but I believe the creators could make something cool about the sky too.

Also I hope some outstanding bosses.. They don't have to be so difficult.
Like I really loved TP bosses even though they were really easy. But that's what I loved in PH too. Easy, but really cool and fun. (well not all, but yeah)

I'm hoping for orchestral musics.. Yeah the not-orchestral ones can be really amazing too ( for ex. Blizzeta phase 2, Forest temple in OoT and much more) but I belieev they could be even more stunning.

I don't really have anything more to say I think so that would be it.

A Game takes place before the Ocarina of Time!? SWEET!! I hope for some Zelink hints and romance!

I'm really looking forward to this game. The controls sound like they're going to be awesome; I can't wait to try them out. Dangit Ninty, wasn't it supposed to come out this year? :P

Ah well, I'm hoping the extra time will give them a chance to polish it further; while I'm intrigued by the art style, I want to see the graphics more refined than the way they look in the trailer. I'm also hoping for some better monster designs than what we've seen so far.

When asked about that, Miyamoto said, "I don't think we could do what we did with Mario Galaxy 2 and not try to match that with Zelda." So I'm expecting the music to be orchestrated--it's about time the ingame soundtrack took Zelda's fantastic melodies to their full potential.

Oh yeah! That's pretty sure they'll do orchestral then :)

Yeah, I really thought it would be coming this year (though no information aboutt he game was given so it was weird) but it's good that they still work on it...
I heard that they will still work on the art bit more... but the style will remain though

edit: Woohoo! Zelda has been confirmed for the game.

Like I have mentioned in another thread, I can really sense some zelink-ness coming this time around, as we have the latest Zelda (Spirit Tracks) as the most zelink-hinted game so far. :zelink:

I do believe this is a logical line to be followed, having Link and Zelda on a stronger and deeper kind of bond than before. First, because Link is more adult-like in SS, which means more possibilities of emotional attachment. Second, because I think Spirit Tracks was kinda a test to see if this formula would work, I mean, this interaction between the heroes of the series, and I think it worked very well. We see the fans approval all around, so it's just like it's a free pass to this direction in Skyward Sword IMO.

This is what we wanted to see Link and Zelda as childhood friends and share a unique bond like in Ocarina of Time.

Aaaah! I got so happy when I saw the new SS teaser :zelink:

...to me, this game screams ZeLink. XD I don't think a ZeLink-y moment would be in the E3 video for nothing haha. I can't wait to get this game ;)
