It's called Spirit Tracks. And Link is a CONDUCTOR. (isheaiwhgaih HE IS FRIGGIN ADORABLE <3) Judging from the trailer, it's in the same style as Wind Waker and I believe it is set to be released later this year.
Also, it's for the DS.
Trailer is here

.... I feel jipped, really. :/ This looks... not so good.

ARGGHHH!!! And I had my hopes up for this NEW GAME. I might buy it for one of my little cousins maybe. But I rather go mindlessly play Halo, GTA, or Gears of War for days on end before I play this game thats for sure.

Well, what were you expecting? They said they had two games on the work, one handheld and one not, it's obvious it's the small one that would be done faster.
And urr.... MalonsLover if you expect games like that, you should stop waiting for a Zelda. XD
(That, or you meant you will be playing those to erase the sugary taste the new game left within in, but I had to say that.)
Well, over half the fandom is disappointed and I'm not. That's nothing new to me.

It looks fun, even though I'm a bit disappointed with the PH-like graphics. I was hoping at least WW-graphics. But it's the fun that overrules the graphics in the end.

Yes Kokirian Clockwork, I'll be doing that and dreaming about Kratos butchering WW Toon Link just for you. :P

I'm guessing this one and another, on the Wii. If they were actual facts and not rumors that were stated as facts, but so far it might be true.
OMG ML i hate u. D8<
Back to waiting for the E3 and dreaming of high-def cutscenes.

Yeah, I'm going to reserve judgement on this game until after I beat the final boss of it and the credits roll :P
Though I will admit, that train gives me hope for a Steampunk setting!! *is excited, like woah*

A dystopian/steampunk Zelda would be really interesting. If not as a game, then at least as something to read about.
Anyways, with this new game, is Nintendo trying to progressively advance the storyline technology-wise? By the looks of it, Link's train has quite a few railroad tracks crisscrossing all over Hyrule, which suggests an industrialized society. In 50 years, do you think Nintendo will have moved away from the traditional medieval Zelda setting to something more modern?
Then again, in TP they had a floating city, so I suppose a measly train isn't much of a tech leap. As the saying goes, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
KokirianClockwork - April 16, 2009 06:11 PM (GMT)
As long as there's something medieval in it. I mean, if I wanted something totally advanced and whatnot, I'll just play those other Nintendo games, thank you very much.
Will they really get rid of their one main medieval-fantasy game?
Meh whatever, I'll wait and see.
Psst, LA had telephones. Nuff said.
If not nuff said: no need for logic, this is Zelda.

I don't see why anyone is compaining. It's like those timeline thingie mabine. Look at it like this. In our history in very little time it went from mediveal to industrial. It says how WW and PH take place many years after OoT and such. Of course they'll advance. And also, in PH you use a steam boat, *sticks tounge at whiners*. Lastly, I read somewhere that in ST it is a diffrent generation from WW and PH.
On a happier note I must say I am excited. I mean, for instance you have boss fights from the train. Something not seen in PH except for the final. Also you're a mailman. That is not far from The Milkman, and if anyone played a certain phycic game who's name escapes me, will understand. Lastly you get get to fight with a Phantom (those bastards *hacking cough*) as a sidekick. Personally I hope you get to make him commit suicide. Well that's me. <---- The eternal LoZ fan
