Thanks Sammi. Currently I'm trying to patch things up with some of the Zelinkers that are mad at me right now about a post of mine that made people think the wrong thing. I recently re edited that post so I hope people understand that it came out the wrong way from that which I intended. Well at least you and Hylian Princess don't hate me so that makes me feel good. I might be a Zelinker, but I think that continously debating about the whole pairing thing is senseless, especially since the characters do not even exist. So a big, warm welcome to you. :P

I'm just trying to understand what you guys think about some Zelda fans and their theories on Zelda possibly being either the motherly/platonic best friend or fraternal twin sister. The fraternal twin sister theory BTW has been around since OOT came out and has been revived again in recent years due to some references from WW on the King of Red Lions referencing OOT/MM Link being his son.

EDIT: I like your new Avy. Believe it or not, I cheer for a LinkxZelda in TP more than a LinkxIllia for sure. But the possibility that the magic armor of TP Link is maybe the result of an incestuous marriage between OOT LinkxZelda is pretty wild and erotic don't you think? :P

Link and Zelda are not related in any game. Just because both have blonde hair and blue eyes doesn't mean anything, simply because there are a number of people that have, well, blonde hair and blue eyes. It depends on what the parents throw into the gene pool (who, btw, might not have these characteristics themselves and thus are just the carriers of the genetic codes).

And the "motherly figure" is not really a strong argument. Just because she has a lot of wisdom to offer and because she is highly intelligent for her age doesn't make it so that she's motherly towards Link. Personally, I think that's a sexist remark. Link himself would meet Zelda intellectually simply due to all of the experiances that he is forced to endure throughout his adventures. They're more of a companion for one another than anything, which is why they would make the perfect couple.

Yeah....I'm with you 100% that Zelda being "too motherly" for her and Link not to be physically attracted to each other is pretty weak. To me LinkxZelda is more unique and interesting than the plain and simple LinkxMalon "Local hero marrys childhood sweetheart from the local dairy" theoretical relationship. But I still do prefer LinkxMalon due to my liking of its quaint but normal simplicity.

To me the Link and Zelda as closely related fraternal twins is nothing more than an alternate POSSIBILITY. Its definitely not the theory I personally support for sure. The theory only goes on its strong points on the explanation of Links actual parents and LinkxZeldas more SPECIAL relationship being just a simple reference of their unique close bond as twin siblings.

Not to mention the CASE FOR KINGSHIP is a slam dunk in the sibling theory along with the possible validity of the magic armor in TP being specially made for a coronation and marriage. The morality of the Kingship is questionable but still possible. But yeah..I still support the Zelda as NURTURING and COMFORTING Motherly best friend instead of the NURTURING and COMFORTING Protectively caring twin sister Zelda.
