If the question is: " how old is kid Link" in OoT?

There's a variety of answers..I can't quote the sources. but one interview with Miyamoto had him saying 6-7 ( about grade two I believe ), this was the interview that came out well before the game..and I personally think that's way too young.

A player's guide apparently said 10 when the game was released, and in a more recent amount of news, a trophy in a Smash Brothers game indicates 12. It's from Brawl and pertains to WW Link, who was supposedly the same age as the Hero of Time when he was called.

So there's no easy answer...I prefer to think 10-11.

Miyamoto: That is true. This is about the time that Child Link makes his debut. He is set to be about 7~8 years old.

That's what I go by. I'm not sure where the age of 10 originated, but I'm sticking with what Miyamoto said.

I remember reading in the strategy guide that said Link was 10. But if he was actually 7-8 when he debuted, he would be about 13-14 when he became Hero of Time. And in connection with WW Link, when it was said WW Link was the same age as OoT Link when he became Hero of Time, I always thought they meant that it was when OoT Link awakened after 7 years. Not when he was child, since he wasn't the Hero of Time then. He was just a kid with extraordinary bravery.

And does what I just typed make any sense? It seems I fail at being coherent recently.

You know, I could have sworn I read that, too.... but I really can't find it anywhere. I also no longer have the guide. :/ I asked a lot of people online if it said anything about it in the guide, and they read through for me and said no.... but I really thought it did.

Do you happen to have the guide still?

(And no, they meant TWW Link was the age of OoT's Y. Link) ;o Link is referred to as a "little boy" and "child" numerous times in TWW

When it comes to young Link's age in OoT, I've always leaned more towards 12-13, which would leave him at around 19 or 20 after the 7 year time skip. Heh, I just never thought that 17 was "adult" enough for adult Link XD
