I'm not sure if many of you know by now or not...but I was surfing the internet when I found this:

I'm not so sure about the hair change (still a bit iffy about that) but at least she's in Brawl! :D Ohhh, the Zelink possibilities!

Anyway, here's some things about her capabilities in the game:

Just like Link, Zelda’s design has also changed.
She has a slightly more subdued color scheme.

Her movement capabilities are not that good, but her magic adds power to her physical attacks. There’s a reason why her hands and feet glow, after all.

I'm... actually fine with Zelda being a brunette. I mean, both her and Link's hair colour has fluctuated between games (and Link had pink hair in LttP, poor guy), so I'm just taking it as one of Nintendo's little weird things.

Since they're going for TP Zelda, I kinda doubt that she'll be able to turn Sheik anymore, though a TP style Sheik would kick some major booty :lol:

Well, I suppose she's a brunette in Brawl because she's awfully brunette-ish in TP. Her hair colour seemed to fluctuate depending on the light level in the scenes she was in in that game :blink:

I think she looks really earthy with brown hair. Like, with brown hair, for some reason I can see her skipping through the forest in Link's tunic. XDDDD *winkwink*

Physical appearances aside, I just hope to God that she kicks ass and isn't one of those characters that goes flying with just a smash attack from an opponent (granted, Zelda is a lightweight, but usually, I deal a great amount of damage before I go anywhere NEAR getting KO-ed).

I wonder what they're going to do in place of Sheik (T___T I'm gonna miss him).

Eiji Anouma said he submitted character redesigns for both Ganondorf and Sheik so Sakurai can use them in Brawl. They might as well be confirmed at this point; in Sheik's case, it's just a matter of if Zelda will be able to transform into him/her still.

Remember what Sakurai said, though--Zelda's color sheme is "slightly subdued" this time around.



In my opinion, "slightly subdued" is an understatement.

...But man, do I LOVE that plunging back!

I'm willing to bet a Rupee or two Link does as well. :lol: ...And it seems Donkey Kong has ditched Peach for a new princess.

Now that's a pretty cool shot. Poor Link, everyone wants to kidnap his girl :P

But if she doesn't turn into Sheik in this game, will she turn into anyone else at all? And if there is no transformation, what kind of move is she going to get?

More importantly, WILL THERE BE AN OPTION THAT WILL ALLOW HER TO FIGHT WITH HER SWORD?!?

If she had not a transformation in this game, then you could maybe with B + Down control her sword! :D

Just to revive this topic as i wanna talk about this again ^^

And by the way to tell you guys Zelda's hair has always been brunette just they made her hair blonde in most Zelda games so that should show you something and i also think she suits the brunette hair alot more than blonde cause if you imagine her with blonde hair in those pictures she would look ugly o.O

Yes Zelda was confirmed since the beginning of the game and such as Samus getting to have her without her armour on making her a more speedy character instead of a strength character ^^

And i am sad at you guys thinking that Sheik is a male, Sheik is clearly female by her figure and her voice ^^

And i want to show you guys the actual Super Smash Brothers Brawl website confirming everything at this current stage of production so we can keep up to date with everything ^^

I also love the way the characters now enter the match ^^

And also Sonic The Hedgehog as just been confirmed by the actual website that he will be in Super Smash Brothers Brawl so my brother is all ready pumped up about him ^^

IMO, she's way prettier with the blonde "OoT look". And the weirded out colors in the background are neat looking.

Yeah I like better with Blonde hair. Her hair is like made with pure of sunshine gold. :zelda:

Beautiful. You know..only one complaint I have about TP Zelda ( and SSBB Zelda )..she looks so unfriendly!! At least OoT Zelda looked somewhat unimposing..approachable etc. This Zelda just screams "Ice Queen"..and look don't touch.

For the fighting..I really hope she can go Sheik still. While Zelda herself can be excellent fighter with practice, Sheik balances her out if you have a fast opponent.

Sure, brown-haired Zelda is nice, and so is the traditional blonde-haired...

but I totally want to play with the white hair, black dress version :D


I'm really hoping that, if Sheik is removed, they at least add a sword. Or expand her powers. Just do something to compensate for her slowness.

I thought that was pretty classy too. Peach was classic helpless damsel-in-distress, and Zelda's like "crap. Must get out of here!" I so hope she can go Sheik again.

What? No mention of Solid Snake? I loved the Metal Gear series of games and having the main character involved in Smash Brother makes it even better!

For those of you who are wondering whether or not Zelda is able to transform into Sheik, the answer is yes. The creators remodelled Sheik to fit the form of the new Zelda. Oh yeah... She can kick butt. ^^ Ninja style. :P

Really? What's the game like? I really can't wait to get my hands on a Wii and the new Super Smash Bros.!

It's quite fun...I found the Adventure Mode "Subspace Emissary" as my favorite bit. The cutscenes were so lovely, and the play fun.
Another bonus is the online Wifi Brawl..playing with your friends is the coolest thing ever.
Oh..and whoever picked the Zelda soundtracks did their homework...all the best ones were there, and the WW stage is amazing.

gilderpilotgirl just about covered it. The cutscenes ROCKED in SSE, and I loved beating the heck out of the final boss with Link and Zelda ^_^ The graphics are amazing, and I love all the stuff you can collect, so you can't beat the game within hours of getting it, like my brother usually does. xD

It sounds amazing! I've been doing some research and I've found that there's some lovely screenshots, I have to ask though, is there any zelink-ness in it? :zelink:

I couldn't help but noticed that Shiek does have b**bs and a long pony-tail. I like Zelda as Sheik she is awesome! I have the game but I don't have the wii. The Wii is hard to find these days.
