Has anyone watched "Voices of a Distant Star"? It's an anime movie about a girl named Mikako who goes to outer space to fight in a war, working as a pilot. The only contact she has with this guy named Noboru (who is her best friend and love interest) is through text messages. As Mikako goes deeper and deeper through space, the messages between her and Noboru are taking longer to get through (in other words, he has to wait eight years for a new message from her). Mikako remains as a fifteen-year-old girl, but Noboru ages. It's a good anime movie, but it's sad, too. :(

Oh yes, I've seen it! It really is a lovely story, but you're right, its sad. (and short!) But to devoted for that long is really wonderful. Ahhh, that was such a pretty movie. And the music was pretty too!

Yeah. I'm really going to have to watch it again.
