Paladin's Heart - November 16, 2006 11:52 PM (GMT)
Sorry, but this forum has fallen a bit quiet lately...But Three more days until the relase of the Wii and Twilight Princess! I'm sure all of you are pretty excited, as well as I!

...Just had to make a topic to discuss our fandom. :D

Lutearina - November 17, 2006 04:28 AM (GMT)
*gasps* Are you teh seriaz?!?!?! D:

I am SO behind. It'll be alllll sold out, and I shall not acquire a copy. :o

AmayaSaria - November 18, 2006 04:09 AM (GMT)
I'M SO EXCITED!

...but I have no money.

*sobs and plans to mug somebody and steal their Wii.*

Paladin's Heart - November 19, 2006 07:03 PM (GMT)
Wow, this forum is dying slowly. We're all too busy playing our copies of Twilight Princess, arn't we? Well, Today I went Wii Hunting with my brother and we came to no avail after going to at least 10 different shops. I'm very envious now

HyruleMaster - November 30, 2006 01:26 AM (GMT)
*Stares at all of yous with joyful tears* It's... so... beautiful... ;________; *gets slapped by PH*

Paladin's Heart - November 30, 2006 01:59 AM (GMT)
Haha, I've already got my copy, so it's okay! -nods-

I've changed the name of the thread title since it's already been released, so post for reviews, tips, help or anything else constructive! Post away! :)

Alantie - December 1, 2006 03:28 PM (GMT)
Bah! I don't have it yet!! *pouts* I'm getting the CG version though, since there's no way in Hades I'm getting a Wii. But that's okay, since I like the CG :D I'm soooooooooooo friggen excited though! I'll probably have to wait till X-mas though, considering I asked for it. ^_^;

Linky-kun - December 8, 2006 04:55 PM (GMT)
:P i just saw the advet for the game like acouple of days ago and it so awesome! *drowls*

:P but i think i will find it quite weird to how the Nintendo Wii works with controls and all that pittyful stuff :P

Saphine - December 8, 2006 07:16 PM (GMT)
I got the Wii and Twilight Princess on the 19th of last month, and I beat it around 3-days (38 hours?) of play... and to be honest, I was expecting more XD But it is a wonderful game. I won't spoil it for you, but I do want to tell you to NOT be like me, and take your time playing the game (to enjoy every moment and scenery and music).

The wii controls are so much fun! <3

HyruleMaster - December 12, 2006 01:18 AM (GMT)
*Is still currently drooling over the game*

I don't know about you guys, but I think this is the best Zelda game yet... O.O

Paladin's Heart - December 12, 2006 01:28 AM (GMT)
It's still a toss up for me between Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time ...

TP was a bit challenging this time around, I mean, I really hated the Temple of Time. Like it always has been, I'm not really that bright with the puzzles xD. Beat it just around 35 hours, and that's good because it's longer than most games nowadays. I too, was expecting more ZeLink, but TP was good, nonetheless.

Funny thing, I was playing Ocarina of Time the other day, and I was shaking the controller to wield out my sword :giggle:.

HyruleMaster - December 12, 2006 02:45 AM (GMT)
I liked how TP was more challenging! ^^ Challenging games are so much fun! My heart skipped a beat when I entered the Temple of Time and started hearing the classic tune. ^^ (There were some of those "Oho!!" puzzles in there, though. XD) Ocarina of Time is pretty amazing, too, I must admit. (One of my favorites as well. ^^)

Teh wii syndrome... O_O Soon gamers around the world will be waving their controllers on systems that don't use the feature. XD

Dirty Harry - December 13, 2006 12:38 PM (GMT)
Hmm...I found the bow a bit annoying 'cause being a Counterstrike player I expect a further swing rate. I only played a demo, so I can't say much. :( Can't afford Wii...*cries*

We already swing our PS2 controllers around trying to kill our friends in the process. :D

Alantie - December 13, 2006 09:21 PM (GMT)
I GOT IT FOR GAMECUBE!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, technically its for my brother, but he'll let me play it cause he's nice. BUT I HAVE TO WAIT TILL X-MAS!!! *melts*

I dunno if I can wait that long. Its horribly cruel. :(

Dirty Harry - December 14, 2006 02:13 PM (GMT)
*cries*

Paladin's Heart - December 14, 2006 10:17 PM (GMT)
DH, could I ask you to try and not use one word responses? -enforces rules- :P

Anyway, I just wanted to ask if the Gamecube version is going to be any different from the Wii version. I mean, gameplay-wise or storywise. Now I'm not takling about how you aim and point with the Remote for the Bow/Slingshot, but different puzzles to solve, extra stuff. Sorry, but PH just likes to keep un-spoiled.

I also heard Link was Left-Handed in this one...?

Anyone know about the Cave or Ordeals? I know I've heard that name before in a different game, but I just can't put my finger on it...

Alantie - December 15, 2006 03:39 PM (GMT)
From what I know (since I can't play my copy until Christmas <_<) the GC version is going to be exactly the same as the Wii, except for Link being left handed or right handed, I can't remember which. *sweat*

I read about the Cave of Ordeals on the back of the TP walkthrough guide in the store. Couldn't look inside cause it was plastic wrapped. . . I guess what it is is an extra thing to do, sort of like how the Gerudo Training Ground thing was, you know? A chance to get something extra and helpful. I'm not positive about this, but it seems plausible to me.

Paladin's Heart - December 17, 2006 05:44 AM (GMT)
Argh! Now I remember where I heard it. It's in FFIV Advance xD.

I just got back from finishing the Cave of Ordeals. It was....hard! It was actually where to get some Poe's for the Poe sidequest. And a little something more. (Kept as a secrecy for unwanted spoilers) So you're basically right, Alantie. I can safely say it's one of the hardest dungeons in the game, so make sure you guys go in prepared!

Bahh. I've played through the whole game without a walkthrough so far :P.

AmayaSaria - December 18, 2006 02:03 AM (GMT)
Hmmm! I've been debating between getting TP for the Gamecube or the Wii. =/ I mean, come on, its a WII! Its gotta be so much being Link, and I know I would have a blast doing that. But but but....My Gamecube needs to be put to use before I get a Wii! D: Its hard to decided which one to get it for...but in the end, I'll probably get it for the Wii! (I am sososososo sorry cubey-kins. I lurve joo so much...but but...its a Wii!)

Do you think they're hidden or better things in TP for the Gamecube than the Wii? They've supposedly been working on the GC version longer....*shrugs*

How is TP gameplay and storyline? Is it alsdfjl;asdjf good? =D

Hylia Princess - December 23, 2006 06:32 PM (GMT)
I played the GC version at a friends house and it's the same so far. It's just strange having to see how the game in its normal state. Even though the Wii was mirrored, it is so crazy seeing it in it's 'original' format. haha.

Alantie - December 27, 2006 04:42 PM (GMT)
I've been watching my brother play occasionaly (not much because I don't want to be spoiled!) cause he won't let me play until he beats it. Ha! We'll see how long that lasts! And the play style seems to be really good. GC wise, I mean. Not Wii. I'm excited to play it!

AmayaSaria - February 1, 2007 03:29 AM (GMT)
'kay! I'm not that far in TP since I just got it recently for the...*drum rolls* the Wii! I think its fun so far! The story is pretty decent, but Link is AJFL:DSKJSLDKF hawt. That sexay beast. *drools*....*ahem*

I think I'm gonna end up buying the gamecube version as well...sure, it may be a waste of money, so I'll wait till the GC one gets cheaper.

So far, its pretty interesting being the wolf! Little excitement! And I LOVE riding Epona. My best friend! How I missed thee!

I also enjoy how Link has a connection to so many animals in games. It really brings out the animal lover in me!

Overrall, the game is preeeetttyy awesome. I can't wait to finish it. XD

Wii.Control - February 26, 2007 02:30 AM (GMT)
i got my wii 2 weeks ago i love it

gr33n_sl33ves - March 7, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
My only complaint about the game would be that Link didn't have his shirt off long enough. He should have gone topless the entire bloody game

Alantie - March 8, 2007 03:01 PM (GMT)
ROFL!!!! Wouldn't that have been something to see? Sumo!Link shirtless everwhere!!! :yay: That whole sumo thing cracked me up, lol. Probably one of the best humerous parts of the whole game.

gr33n_sl33ves - March 9, 2007 12:32 AM (GMT)
Haha, that and him looking at Telma's boobies XD

Alantie - March 10, 2007 01:48 AM (GMT)
LMAO!! I know!! He looked so awkward at those parts, poor little Link! Telma's boobies of doom! :ph43r: And when Ilia is yelling at him for supposedly mistreating Epona? The way he cringes! Priceless!

You know what else I just realized? There is no magic in this game. Link doesn't have fire arrows or ice, or light! Well, Zelda gets the light arrows, but that doesn't really count. That kinda bothers me. Link without magic. . . no cool little elemental spells, no shields, no nothing. Why not? Or is it just the CG version that doesn't have magic?

Hylian Cetra - March 12, 2007 11:49 PM (GMT)
I startedededed it on the GC and as soon as I gots my Wii I got it there too making me restart XD and I was confuzzled cause the stupid thing is backwards. >=[ /whinebitchcomplaint xD

:zelink:

OMG~ I love whoevermade that <3 xD

it's good to be back <3 =)

I've been busy and haven't had enough time to play ;_; I'm in the water lakebed temple BARELY !~ someone slap me kthx D:

Alantie - March 13, 2007 03:59 PM (GMT)
*slaps* :D

Erg, I HATED the Lakebed temple. >_< It was just IRRITATING. I think there's a law somewhere about Zelda games that makes all water temples annoying and hard as they possibly can. D'you know how long it took me to figure out that I had to make the water flow DOWN the stairs? GRAH!!! :blehh:

Hylian Cetra - March 17, 2007 12:43 AM (GMT)
/is slapped

ow >.o

xDD <3

You're right about water temples >___< /shakes fist. I'm HATING it =[[[

I'll try and get some gameplay done this weekend :'D <333

On a side note, I feel AWFUL cause I've NEVER used guides in my life, but OMFGBBQWKHN!~ Have you guys SEEN how sexy the collectors edition TP guide looks?! I just HAD to get it!~

I just won't look at it. <__< lol xDD

Alantie - March 27, 2007 02:31 PM (GMT)
I rarely use guidebooks myself, unless I get hopelessly and completely stuck, like I did in the water temple. But in that case, I just looked online, not in a book. The books are nice, but I just don't want to spend the money when I can find perfectly good help online, you know?

Why doesn't Link have magic? This is seriously bugging me. Why did they take that away? I love being able to do these small magics, and they took them away from me for bomb arrows? :blehh: *pouts*

How about Zelda's design in this game? Was it not to die for? I love her new hairstyle!!! Simply beautiful!! And she has an interesting earring thing now. I wonder if there's any meaning to it. . . And her sword!!! Too bad she doesn't really get to use it. I mean, Ganny was using her body at the one point, so that doesn't count. . . *sigh*

AmayaSaria - April 4, 2007 02:22 PM (GMT)
*raises her hand* I have to agree with you Atlantie! I still haven't beaten the game (taking my time...and not enought time D: ) but what I've seen of Zelda so far is absolutely gorgeous! =D

And yes, the fact that Link doesn't really have magic bothers me as well. >.>

You all have been to the desert, yes? Well, how many of you have beat that fairy thing, where each level (underground) you have to beat monsters? I got pretty far in that, but at some point, I wasn't able to advance to the next area because there were these bars in the way...Still haven't figured out how to get rid of them!

And the magic armor! I just got the magic armor, I haven't really used it yet...But but but...its going to use up all my rupees (sp?)! D; Oh well, it seems pretty cool so far...

...and now, off to the Temple of Time for me!

Ah, the Cave of Ordeals, right? Yes, I've been there. The reason it would have bars over the tne area would be because you haven't gotten all the weapons you need to advance yet, I would believe. Once you've got all of them, you'll be able to go on. I have also beat the place, and it is HARD. Particularly when you get right to the end. I recommend having lots of potions, blue ones. No fairies, potions. :D

Mmm, I was so excited the get the magic armor, but I don't think it was really worth all the rupees, lol. The only reason I like the magic armor is for the Cave of Ordeals, the last section of the place. :) If you've bought all the stuff you need and don't really care about money anymore, then yes, the magic armor is nice. Just remember to take it off when your rupees run out, or it impares your movements.

Good luck in the Temple of Time!! I squealed when I saw the place, lol.

I'll have to concure on this. Zelda is absolutely stunning in this game. Her new hairstyle to her dress to simply everything. One word..

Fabulous [I hope i spelled that right >.>]

What bugged me about the game was how they didn't really show alot of ZeLink in this game..is was more leaning towards Illia x Link...and dare i say it..

Link x Midna...

Which being brought up as a ZeLink extremist kinda gets your wires twisted.

:blehh:

Wisdom_Triforce - July 24, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
O.o TP is for gamcube right? I don't even have that!! T_T It looks sooooooooo cool though. I wanna play it too!! *cries but wishes she had Nintendo back*

Alantie - July 27, 2007 08:18 PM (GMT)
TP is for both GameCube and the Wii. I have the GC version. ^_^ YAY!!! I'm sorry you don't have it. :( That is very sad. It is a simply beautiful game.

Wisdom_Triforce - July 27, 2007 08:36 PM (GMT)
I'll have to ask for it on CHristmas. *determined* I will get it, I will!!

gr33n_sl33ves - August 8, 2007 09:18 AM (GMT)

Yup, yup!

No matter how long you wait--it's such a good feeling when you put the disc in and play it for the first time. ^_^

That's how I felt after what... waiting about... THREE years... (Was it that long? :o )

gr33n_sl33ves - August 16, 2007 09:02 AM (GMT)
Yeah, three or four years. Curse you Nintendo!! :P
