Lysandra wandered tentatively and peacefully down the many isles of bookcases, each stacked high, but neatly, with books begging to be read. The problem was, there were so many to choose from, it was almost impossible to pick, let alone only get one.
Lysandra had always been a passionate reader, before her mother passed away, they used to spend hours sitting under the shade of a large willow tree and read away, often only coming back to the house when the sun went down, extinguishing their only source of sufficient lights, though, if there were enough stars out it was often magical to sit out reading long into the night.
Each week she found herself here, wandering down the many rows of books, always in this dilemma of what to choose. Gently taking books down from their shelves as she walked, often ending up with a wobbling tower of books, before sitting down in one of the large, comforting arm chairs, and settling down to figure out which books she’d be taking home with her this week.
Whilst she immensely enjoyed reading the old classics, she loved some of the newer fantasies, thrillers or mysteries, and even though she was in her early twenties, her favourite book of all time would have to be the Harry Potter series, finding it almost impossible to walk by one without picking it up and reading it, in only a few hours as well.
Today, she decided, was one of those days she needed her dose of one of her favourite books. Picking out Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, smiling to herself as she did so, and curled up on the chair and started to read.
The bookstore, whilst it was a store, was one of her favourite places to come and read. It was quiet, and never too busy, just a nice atmosphere to unwind and relax. Even though it was techniquely a book store, she often treated it more like a library, though she did spend quite a bit on stocking up her book collection, she spend more time just sitting in ‘her chair’, as she called it, and reading anything that took her fancy.

Alison walked into the quaint little bookstore, and looked around. A few troublemakers getting in trouble, a nerd with taped glasses, and a couple of others. There was one girl, whom Alison seemed to know, but not. She seemed familiar, yet she had never seen her before. Strange...
The brunette pulled off a book from a shelf called something random. She had a profject due next Thursday, about Abraham Lincoln. Then she had to memorize the Gettysburg Address, and say it out loud in front of class. Sometimes... life sucked. it wasn't that she didn't like reading, or history or anything, it was just that this stuff sort of.. bored her. Though she liked reading, despite what it seemed, some things she just couldn't take. Writing a three-page report on Honest Abe was one of those things. She could be at the mall right now, trying on new lipstick and clothes with one of her friends...
She plopped down on a beanbag that was on the floor, and began to read a bit. She noticed she was by the girl again, Lysandra. ( She doesn't know her name, I just didn't want confusion.. )
Alison pulled her half-sleeved shirt up a little bit, and ignored the itchyness of it all. She wore a baby blue half-sleeved shirt, low-cut, with a bit of a white silk shirt underneath it. The white shirt wasn't real; it was too hot for that. On her bottoms were blue jean capris, with white butterflies for fashion. White flats were on her feet. A baby blue butterfly barette clipped onto her dark brown, reddish, it seemed almost, hair. She also had borrowed a white purse from her mom, and had painted her fingernails baby blue, which hadn't been easy to find. She had spent hours trying to find the color, literally!

Lysandra was brought back from her trance like state as she heard the rustle of a beanbag, which was actually closer than she thought. She smiled at this pretty girl as she caught her eye, she did not judge anyone as a rule, but she could never help giving the quick look up and down, just to have a guess of what kind of person they were.
The girl seemed to have a very good fashion sense and style, even noticing the baby blue of her butterfly clip and the surprisingly exact same baby blue polish on her nails. Whilst she we dressed well, it was not over dressed, or trying too hard to fit in, which she liked about her.
Lysandra herself wore a flowing, very colourful dress, and whilst she did not like to be the centre of attention, sometimes her bright, exuberant clothes got a lot of attention, especially contrasting against her soft, chocolaty skin. Her beauty seemed hard to go unnoticed, and she had a sense of exoticness about her, mainly from moving here from spain only 4 years ago, yet she somehow found it difficult to find any sort of love...
She couldn’t help but look at the book the girl was reading, ah a nice history book, noticing the small amount of information about Lincoln the book contained even though the girl was obviously looking over and over it, maybe it did not have the right information she needed. And what’s more, she herself had read through that book and many other history books, and new that it was not particularily interesting.
Placing her own book on the table she said to the girl in her gentle voice, though sometimes a little hard to understand because of her Spanish accent, and when she got into a topic she often forgot about speaking in a clearer English voice “Lincoln eh, interesting choice of reading… but you may find…” She broke off her sentence as she stood up and scanned over the history shelf and pulled out a surprisingly average sized book, seeming tiny compared to the large book the younger girl held, “…This may be off more help.” Passing the book to the girl, very simply titled ‘Abraham Lincoln: The life and triumphs’, quickly adding, “… and surprisingly enough… I’m not a nerd…” Laughing a little as she said this, “Just a little obsessed with reading… I’ll literally read anything, that’s how I knew about this thrilling tail.” The last part of her sentence had a hint of sarcasim, though in a friendly way. Once again, almost forgetting she said with a smile, “I’m Lysandra by the way…”
ooc: hehehe tried to think of something interesting XP

Alison, not one to be shy, noticed the girl's beautiful dress, and exclaimed, "Oh my gosh, I love your dress!" She was about to ask where she had gotten it, when an employee sneaked up and pounced. She shushed Ali, then scurried off to somewhere else. "Why can't you talk here?" It was a bookstore, not a library!
Alison, still admiring the dress silently, looked up when Lysandra handed her a book. "Thanks!" she smiled. "I couldn't find a thing in that other one!" She liked the new books, for it was smaller than the other one. Alison began jotting down things for her rough draft right away, and she had just gotten it!
Ali grinned, blue eyes looking up from her paper. "Well, nerd or not, you helped me a lot!" She thanked the girl a lot, and giggled when the other female mentioned that she would anything, with a sense of sarcasm in her voice. "Very funny!"
"I'm Lysandra by the way..."
Alison smiled. Now this girl was nice! She was talking to Ali, and she loved that! Some people would ignore you, which was worse than bothering you! Alison might have seemed hyper, but she wasn't immature. She didn, like, give people head-aches or anything. Except for Tiffany Duckey.. Alsion had a feeling that that girl had it in for her. Not hatred or anything, just competative rivals. Not exaclty fun, but sort of interesting...
"I'm Alison. Nice to meet you!" She said this in a whispery sort of tone, so she didn't get the weird employee mad!
Ooc; Lol! It was interesting!

Lysandra half laughed at the whispered tone, she too found it rather odd that the store had turned into a library instead of a bookstore... though she did actually think of it that way... she just hated being 'shushed'. Letting her eyes lingered on the figure of the employee as he skulked away, glancing back at the too girls as he went, though when she was satisfied he was out of ear-shot she said in her normal voice "Very pleased to meet you" Her face bright and smiling, though she had now lived her for 4 years she had never really made a lot of friends, she had kept more to herself, even though she was a naturally happy and bubbley being, she was also very calm and serene, enjoying the company of her own mind. Though she had to admit, she had taken a liking to this girl, she seemed like a very genuine person, a quality which Lysandra admired greatly. She was a little suprised that she had not seen Alison before, or maybe it was just she spend too much time in places like the book store, when most people would be out shopping or hanging about with friends. "Come here often?" She asked, half guessing the answer would be 'no', hence the slight amusment in her tone, though it was friendly. OOC: Urg sorry it wasn't too good, soooo sleepy * *

Alison smiled. "You too," Thoguh shesaid that already, she returned the gesture. "Well.. no. I'll be honest." She laughed at herself, one of her famous strengths. If she thought something was funny about herself, she would laugh. Why waste your life being embarassed? it makes us all the more human was what Alison thought! "I'm not the bookstore type.. Though they have some great coffee!" She giggled again, showing signs of the Giggles, a 'disease' that her mom had joked about when she was younger.
Ali was done with her paper, or almost, and she put it away. "I'm gonna get a cappichino. You wanna come with?" That was Ali's language. She talked like a cell phone, and sometimes wrote like one too. Like one time, she wrote down C U LATER without even meaning to. It made the other person laugh, but was sorta embarassing, making her look like an addict to cells and everything..
Alison smiled again. Lysandra seemed nice, really nice.. There were a lot of nice people here, but also a lot of mean people, and definitely people Alison couldn't understand. She didn't get 'Goths' of 'Emo People'. Labels were for soup cans, she had been taught snce she was a very young child. Her mother was a sort of hippie mother, you could say,
Alison dug around in her purse for some loose change, and to her advantage, pulled out a twenty. "Ooh!" She looked at Lyssy. 'You want anything?"
