Hikari had been daydreaming... like she always does when she doesn't know what to do. She was startled when Shuya suddenly grabbed her shoulders and moved her to her desk. She really hadn't noticed Shuya come in... not that she would notice anything once she's in her dream land. Shuya was still silent. Not a good sing when it comes to him. Maybe she should do something to cheer him up. But what? She knew that he was no longer on the mood to take her out to check out her new environment. I know! I'll go to his house and make dinner for him!

"Oi, Shuya-kun... is it okay if I go over to your house instead of going out to sightsee? I want to see your dad again... you know since it has been a long time?"

Jodie walked over to the classroom door and closed it. "Hmm, have either of you seen Yuu-san?" she asked the two kids in front of her, then shook her head. "Never mind. He probably skipped out. Please get your assignment folders out."

She walked back to her desk and pulled something that the kids shouldn't have seen out onto the desk: Her .38 Detective Special. She put it on the desk to get at a pen, and hoped neither of the students saw it. Well, she knew that Shuya knew, but Hikari might freak. She stood up, quickly stuffing it back in, and smiled to her students.

A-a gun?! Okay... what was her English teacher doing with a gun at school? Isn't that like against school policies or something? Hikari thought shocked to see a real gun in possession of a teacher. Okay... calm down... it's not like Jodie-sensei is going to use it to shoot her students... it could be for something else... like self-defense or something... Hikari took a deep breath and released it trying to calm herself. Well, at least her sensei wasn't some sort of undercover agent or something of the sort. Her sensei holding a gun, just made her school year interesting. Maybe something would happen while in her first year in Japan. She just had to wait for something to happen...

Jodie walked around and signed her students recorder folders, then went back to her desk. "Dismissed," she plainly said, before grabbing her coat, and limping out of the room.

The woman limped through the already busy halls, hoping that neither student would come up and remind her she had to punish them. Shuya had been talked to enough, and Hikari was a good girl, at least, that's what Jodie would say unless the girl found her way into the locked desk drawer that held the firearm.

Hikari had the urge of grabbing the gun and see if it was real, but there was no way she would do that. First of all, she didn't want to get in any more trouble, and second of all, she didn't know how to manage a firearm. What if it was real and by mistake she pulled the trigger? Nope... no way she was taking that chance. She rather be grateful that her sensei hadn't given her detention or any other type of punishment... She should just figure out how to make Shuya talk because he had been quiet for most of the time and hadn't even answered her question weather it would be alright for her to go over to his house and make dinner.

Hikari, getting now impatient, gave Shuya at strong shove on the shoulders, "Hey, Shuya-kun! You've been staring into space the entire time! Would it be alright if I went to your house and cooked dinner? Hey, are you listening to me?!" Hikari was now standing in front of Shuya, bending down so their eyes would be lined together and staring closely at him.

At hearing the gun-toting teacher of his say that the lot of them, well, the two of them, were to be dismissed, he let out a sigh of relief. That was the first noise he emitted since the confrontation in the hallway. And then, after spotting the gun a few moments ago, that didn't make him want to talk either. So, at being dismissed, the teen stood up, but was met by Hikari, pleading to come to the house. To cook. Odd.

"Uh...sure." He said flatly, brushing past her and walking out of the classroom. Home'd be nice to go to.

Hikari had to run to catch up with Shuya... who still seemed to be out of it. Well, who wouldn't be out of it if you had been pulled out by a teacher who could use guns? However logical it was for Shuya to be like that, it was still pissing Hikari off. Of course they had gotten in trouble and had been framed as a couple, but it was about time for him to make light of the matter and start joking about it.

"Oi! Shuya-kun," when Hikari called his name she tripped... and fell on top of Shuya. It was no surprise that this had happened since she was a really clumsy person. "I'm so sorry Shuya-kun, are you okay?"

(( Please remember that this is the school location, and now the class thread, so all branching RPs such as after-school activities taken and such should be placed in a separate RP. ))

Jodie sighed as she reached her car, and slipped inside after unlocking the door and opening it. Turning the key in the ignition, she pulled out of the parking space and drove away, thinking about the call she'd received earlier that day.

(( Double post, I know. ))

Jodie was on the road to school, listening to the news. She knew she was late when school-buses were arriving as she was. Quickly, the woman ran into her classroom, ready to take attendance after taking off her jacket and placing her side-arm in her desk.
