Conan rose a brow, “Co-chan…?” He whispered back, not wanting anyone else to hear. He didn’t retort back. It wouldn’t bother him much, unless she kept on repeating it but he would get her back of course.
“Yea, sounds big…”
The door opened again and the teacher entered the classroom once again. “Sorry for the wait. Well, like I said, a surprised for all the second graders!”
She marched to the front of the class, looking out in the hallway, where the other teacher was.
“Well like I promised my class. The big surprise is a treasure hunt to see who could solve the puzzle first. Now I know you are all smart children. It has to do with the lessons so I hope you remember some things from the beginning.”
Conan sighed, “It’s the opposite of a ‘non-work’ day,” he whispered to Haibara. He put his head down and waited for the teacher to be done talking.
You will be able to pick your own partners, so choose wisely.” She said, looking at most of the students before going on.
“I will allow you to choose your groups. No more than 5.” She began to count off; “one group would have to be with 6. Now remember the other classes are competing with you too.”
Conan stayed where he was, not wanting to participate. “Haibara, I’m with you.” He said, laying his head on the desk. “We should be the only team with two people. I know we could do it by ourselves.”
“Unless you want to be against me. I could do that too.” He smiled; he might as well have a little challenge. He shrugged, “But I don’t want to compete with easy puzzles.” He said in a whisper.
A team of students crowded around the shrunken one’s desk, asking if he would join their group, he looked at Haibara, “want a challenge?”

Shaking her head, slightly, Haibara looked straight forward, seeing the teacher at the front. A treasure hunt sounded good for second graders, but Haibara didn't take too much interest in it. Conan and herself would have too much of an advantage over the rest, seeing as how they aleady knew this stuff from the first time around. It would be disappointing to finish it quickly with no challenge.
"I'd say it's the same as a 'no-work' day..." she spoke, quietly, to him.
Glancing off to the side where Conan was, she wondered if they would be in the same group or not. It was more than likely so, but that wouldn't be fun. Though, Haibara didn't really want to participate, more wanting to observe. She doubted that she'd be allowed, though.
"Hm, but wouldn't some people feel left out? We could, but it's not fair," she gave him a bored look.
Once he spoke, again, though, she couldn't help but give a slightly surprised look. It quickly disappeared, though, as she heard him whisper. A short sigh, and she would think about it. Being in a rival group would mean having to, actually, work. It wasn't that she didn't like the idea, but it wouldn't go as quickly. Seeing the students, she looked back at him.
"If you want, it seems as though they already want you. We'll see how it goes, then," she answered. "Hm, but that's if I even get invited to a group."

“I guess, but its still work when they don’t know… Its up to you or me to get them on the right track. Giving the kids the answers isn’t fun to do.”
The boy sighed, looking at the selection. He heard Haibara and smiled, “Don’t worry, you’ll be in a team soon enough.”
“How many do you have?” Conan asked the boy, and his response was ‘four.’
“Sorry, I already have my own group. Conan said, looking at Hiabara. He leaned over and whispered, “I think your right on the this being easy.” He sat up, “I’m already with Haibara…”
He folded his arms on his desk and put his head down. “Go look for our group…” He said in a demanding, yet playful way. “Maybe the Detective Boys will assemble in this one…” He looked around, though Ayumi cant join in this adventure today.”

"Yeah, they'd be lost without some help, wouldn't they?" she agreed with him, not giving much thought to it.
She looked at him as he smiled, and shook her head. If he thought she would, then she probably would. Though, it didn't really bother her too much, as she sat there. Until then, she would watch the boy with glasses interacting with the group of four. Their discussion wasn't of much interest, the young girl assuming Conan would join them. His reply was opposite of what she had thought, and she just stared at him as she listened to what he whispered to her.
"Is Edogawa-kun too lazy to look with me?" she questioned, in a non-serious manner. "They, probably, will."
Leaving him to remain at his desk, Haibara slid out of her seat. She looked around, standing there, before looking back at Conan. Then, she ventured off to look for 'their' group, wondering if her partner would end up meeting them first at his desk.

At that very moment, Ayumi just came into the classroom. She doesn't know what's going on, since she had to go to the doctor's for some 'unforunate' incident earlier in the morning. The teacher looked at her and noted Ayumi's presence.
"Ah, Ayumi Yoshida. I wonder if you have an excuse for your unfortunate lateness," the teacher demanded as Ayumi meekly nodded. She handed over the doctor's certificate, and the teacher scanned it, carefully.
"Oh. Right. Very well, Ayumi... as I said to the class earlier, we're going to do a treasure hunt. I hope you know the clues that I have hinted to everyone earlier in the week." Ayumi blinked. What were the clues, by the way? She had no idea what the clues were, since she was thinking of something else.
"Oh, okay, sensei..." Ayumi said politely as the teacher smiled.
"Okay, you'll better get into your group now. Once you have finalised your groups, can you kindly report your members to me so that I can keep a track record of who's who in the team. Once you're in the team, you can't switch groups!" the teacher said as Ayumi looked around desperately for a group. How about the Detective Boys? Are they doing it as a group? She went over and greeted them, as per usual.
"Hey guys. So, are we a team together?" Ayumi asked, confusion written all over her face.
