Natsumi sat at a table near the stage in the Inventors Conference. Security sat at tables near her in plain clothes, looking like scientists who'd come from abroad. The woman observed the stage, seeing a professor who'd come from America fumble around with a computer program that was supposedly used to make artificial intelligence learn it's duty on it's own, and learn things about the duty. It was supposedly the tool to give the technological brain the ability to think and learn.
As far as the rich woman in the black suit sitting in the front row was concerned, it was a crock of crap. Though the man had proven it pretty well so far. Natsumi brought her hands up together as the man stepped off stage. Clapping for a moment, she began to think why she funded such an event. Beyond getting some more scientists under her employ at her companies, and being able to staple the "Tsujimoto Police Force", "Ultor Urban Restoration", and "MediCon Pharmaceuticals" all over the event hall, there wasn't much. But at a second thought, she shrugged. Quite a lot of the attending scientists would probably call on the TPF for protection when they hit scientific breakthroughs like the man currently on stage claimed he'd made. Almost every rich person in Japan, America, Canada, and China had the TPF working as their personal security. It was the #1 security group in the world, and most High-Value Targets of theirs remained protected.
And everyone in this room knew the names of those three companies. Their logos and names had been plastered in the hotel lobby, the events hall, and in all the advertisements for the conference.
Smiling to herself, she watched as a scientist she'd met a few times in the past fumbled into the room, missing only the first demonstration in an evening that would undoubtedly be filled with strange experiences and devices.

"Ah, there you are, Hakase... you're on in an hour or so, after these guys! Thank God you're here!"
The Professor was rather surprised as the MC of the night told him the news as soon as he got through the door. He nodded as he saw a familiar figure... Natsumi? He adjusted his glasses and then, with a nod, he knew that she was the one who funded the whole Conference. After all, she owned a major company and an influential figure of many sorts... it was natural to him that he should greet her before he went on to demonstrate his invention, the time machine.
"Ah, Natsumi-san," Agasa began as he headed towards her, "I didn't know that you were coming to the conference. What are you doing here?" he asked in a polite way of greeting as many more Inventors demonstrated some of their products, even though they were so nervous in explaining about them.
Unbeknownst to everyone, Agasa have two wrist watches: one of them was the Time Machine, the other... the Stun wrist watch. He kept the spare Stun wrist watch, just in case if anyone dared to threaten him. And... to make things more complicated, they looked exactly like each other.

Tsujimoto stood in greeting to the doctor, motioning with her left hand to security men who'd risen behind Agasa to sit back down before bowing politely to the man. Standing back up, she met his gaze. "Konbawa, Agasa-hakase," she said, a smile appearing on her face, "It's been a while. I'm here on business. Namely that of appearing at an event I'm hosting. While I haven't gone up on stage, I donated every cent required to have this event take place. Plus I'm looking for scientists to bring under employ at Ultor and MediCon. Of course it's easy to find the right people. Just gotta sit in on the right events and know the right people. And look at me, I know everyone." The girl gave a little chuckle at her own humor, then turned her attention to Agasa.
"So, you're here as a scientist. What exactly is it you'll be presenting? I believe you're one of three presenters who refused to give any detail to what they were presenting. Luckily, I knew you. The other two were blacklisted from the event. Then again, that's standard...Anyway, will you share, or is there a waiting period before you come on stage?"

Natsumi shook her head, keeping it up and twisted her hand in air. Two men in lab coats quickly rushed over. "One moment," she said to Agasa, then turning to the other men. "Bump security up at all stations. Also prepare armed squads in the hotel rooms I've booked. Have them ready to enter the hall at a moments notice. Also get the evacuation officers placed at their designated locations. I want the Alpha and Bravo Units here, and the Makoto Team on standby. Is that clear?"
"Yes, ma'am," they responded in unison. Quickly they bowed before rushing off.
Turning back to Agasa, Natsumi smiled again. "It seems stalkers enjoy coming after you. Regardless, this should keep you safe. If someone gets close, just shout 'TPF alert subject two', and you'll have armed officers surrounding you and evacuating the hall." The woman continued to smile, before taking a step close to Agasa, and allowing it to vanish. "Be prepared, though. The people who come after have a tendency to get close. Try to keep yourself out of harms way. When you're on stage, try to observe every location in which someone could be waiting. When I give commands like that, my security teams will immediately assume it's required to search the hotel and that shall be done. Anyone suspicious will be forced to leave the hotel until you've vacated the premises. Feel safe?"

" 'TPF alert subject two'. Got it," Agasa muttered under his breath, trying to remember it well. It's not that hard to remember that to most people, but Agasa is getting old with age, don't forget... and him being the old eccentric professor that he is, he's the most likely person to forget about it.
"Yes, I feel a lot safer now," Agasa informed Natsumi as he looked around. So far, it seemed that no-one was a threat to him, for now.
---
Meanwhile, a dark figure was watching over the scene, with a grin that could be considered as wicked. He watched Agasa from a long distance as he looked at him.
"That's right. Just keep on going... don't worry about me... as soon as I have my revenge..." he smirked as he disappeared into the darkness, not knowing where he was or what he was going to do next.

Four black SUV's arrived outside of the hall. In total, ten people, men and women, exited the vehicles and made their way into the hall. This was the TPF Alpha Team, the best trained unit in the world. They had submachine guns under their coats strapped over their shoulders and resting against their backs. Handguns were in each outfit as well, hidden around.
They walked inside, moving quickly and in order. They'd been ordered to set up shop in the lobby and get ready to move anywhere in the hotel. The armed unit was determined to protect those they'd been ordered to. An unusual number of Prefectural Police Cars had also arrived, officers beginning to flood the hall, most in plain clothes or detectives. The thing about them was, they also kept their distance from the event hall.
A small police check-stop had been formed into the lobby, and now police officers were going door to door throughout the hotel and examining all the rooms. People who were found to be carrying weapons without the Ultor or TPF ID Tags were immediately removed from the hotel, and anyone who was suspicious would also be removed.
It had begun.

The figure, dressed in black, smirked as the unit dispersed and scattered around the room was indeed... interesting to him. Interesting because he loved the thrill of it all. And yes, this 'figure' was a distinguished guest. And... he has eyes on Agasa. Eyes on him.
"Now, Hakase..." the figure muttered to himself, "Let's see what you can do. You know why you're in this position," he grinned as he disappeared into the darkness, yet again. Now, he was ready to do the impossible.
---
Meanwhile, on the other side of the fence...
"Now, we have an old friend and a reliable one. You might know him for his prototype jet-pack and his pen voice modulator, but he's here to introduce that makes the ordinary the extraordinary. Please put your hands together for Professor Hiroshi Agasa!"
There was a large wave of applause as the MC introduced Agasa to the stage. As Agasa pushed his glasses up and made his way to the stage, he accidentally grabbed the stun wrist watch and cleared his throat.
"Good evening, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen. I, Hiroshi Agasa, have a new invention that will surprise you. I suppose anyone has read the novel the Time Machine, ne?" Agasa joked, but there wasn't much chuckles in the audience. The joke fell flat. A little embarrassed, Agasa kept going.
"Well, if Time Machines were possible in fiction, then... in fact, it will be. Now, presenting the Time Machine!" Agasa flourished the item in question as he continued to speak. "Now..." Agasa began as he pointed to the certain things that made the Time Machine a Time Machine. "When we turn this, we adjust the time and the date of whatever year we could think of. For example, if I wanted to change this one hour back, or one day back, this watch could do the trick. Now, a demonstration," Agasa began as he adjusted the watch, one hour back. Then, he continued.
"Now, as soon as we press the button in to set the time, we go back at least one hour. Now, ready? And... go!" Agasa pressed the button, but... it didn't work. The people just stared at him, not knowing what he was talking about.
"Eh?" Agasa was rather surprised, a tad embarrassed at the whole spectacle. He was going to check what was going on when...
"Hold it! I got him!" that figure was behind Agasa and has a large handkerchief used as a rope, trying to choke Agasa. The other people were shocked as the figure went into the spotlight. His name was Lord Harley Hallipax. There were rumours that Agasa didn't save his baby daughter on time when they got to hospital in a freak accident, but the truth was that Agasa did everything in his power to save her. It was unfortunate that her head injuries were severe and had internal bleeding in her head. Agasa remembered Natsumi's words and tried to gurgle it out.
"TPF... alert... subject two," Agasa gasped out loud, in vain hopes that they would hear him in time.

Natsumi sat there, a bit of a smile on her face as Agasa gasped out the words. The TPF issue communicator in her ear suddenly was buzzing with activity, as was the Tokyo Metropolitan Police comm. in the other.
"All officers, activity in the event hall. Move there immediately," came over the police comm. "Subject Two in danger. All units, weapons free. Move in. Alpha Team entering through rear stage entrance. Armed teams to enter through hall. Alert all other units and police officers to begin evacuation of the hall. Keep all exits clear for evacuation of VIPs One and Two."
Seven men, three women were running up the backstage staircase, and quickly reached the top. Each wore a black suit with the TPF logo on each lapel. Each held a Glock 18 9mm handgun. Reaching the stage, they ran out onto it. Quickly, they surrounded the struggling pair on stage. Each had their weapon up and aimed, keeping a sharp eye on where Agasa began and ended, likewise with Lord Harley.
"Attention!" Rocked the room, as Natsumi brought a mic up to below her chin. "This is the host of the evening, Tsujimoto-san. I regret to inform you that the rest of the evenings events shall be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. If you could all please evacuate the hall in an orderly fashion, the police will aid you getting home and we will refund you for the evening. Thank you from MediCon."
In the crowd, people in tactical combat uniforms and MP5s had begun moving toward the stage, as had police officers and men in suits with either TPF IDs or Police Badges on lapels. The people in the tactical combat uniforms--Each marking a bright TPF logo on the helmet and on the shoulder pads with military ranks under them--Were in front of all else, coming up near the stage. When they reached a range of about two table rows behind the stage, they stopped, got down on one knee, and brought the MP5 Submachine Guns up to bear, aiming at the scene on the stage. The people at the tables in front of them had already been moved.
Behind the men in the suits on knees, police officers and TPF suits had begun quickly moving people out of the hall, realizing the scene on the stage was secured.
"Assailant of Hiroshi Agasa!" Natsumi shouted up, the mic now back on the table and switched off, "You have ten people around you, each armed with a Glock 18 Automatic Handgun. There ar TPF SWAT officers down below the stage ready to open fire. I suggest stopping the struggle and placing your hands behind your head. Get on your knees and my people will take you into custody. Do this, or you will be executed!"
Some officers who were working to evacuate the people looked up at this, but due to the confusion and concern of the people in the hall, they couldn't regard it and quickly resumed evacuative duties.

Lord Harley Hallipax grinned as he took something from Agasa's pocket quickly whilst and held it at the group. It was Agasa's Time Machine and he wasn't afraid to use it... even though he had mistaken it for the stun wrist-watch.
"Heh... don't try me. I..." Lord Hallipax began as Agasa quickly elbowed him, but this caused Lord Hallipax to press the button. There was a whirl for some time before a bright, blinding white light had filled the room, stunning everyone in its path--
----
One Hour Before...
Agasa was back on stage, just waiting for his turn to come up. Then, he heard the voice:
"Now, we have an old friend and a reliable one. You might know him for his prototype jet-pack and his pen voice modulator, but he's here to introduce that makes the ordinary the extraordinary. Please put your hands together for Professor Hiroshi Agasa!"
At this, Agasa went back out and felt strange. Had he done this before? He had no idea what was going on, but there was something, something at the back of his mind saying that it had happened before.

Natsumi sat at her table, head spinning. She had the weird feeling of Deja Vu. Looking around, she could see numerous people in the hall hadn't noticed, some had. Judging from this, though, something had happened. Or in a more crazy sort-of-way, something had already happened, and would repeat itself...Shaking her head, Natsumi continued to watch, thinking about it.
The SUV's arrived again, the ten Alpha Team officers again exiting the vehicles. This time, however, they were more alert. Something even they noticed had happened, but they didn't know what. Something was obviously wrong. Police officers had also arrived, seeming that something was off. They noticed several people had decided to leave the hotel, but they couldn't exactly figure out why. Maybe they weren't the only ones who'd noticed something was wrong.
The team of ten moved into the lobby, where police officers had already set up a little command station. The head of the team brought Alpha over into a corner. "I'm declaring evacuation of VIPs," Katherine, the unit lead, said. "Officers #4-6, get up to the announcer and the MC. Let them know they cannot cause a panic, and they may need to announce an evacuation. #7-10, get on stage, get Agasa. #2-3, you come with me. We're getting Tsujimoto." And with that, they headed their separate ways.
Katherine, Minomaru, and Tsujisaki arrived at the Tsujimoto table. "Ma'am, something's wrong," said Katherine, "We're evacuating all VIPs. Please, come with us."
Natsumi nodded, and she rose. Her security remained seated, to keep appearances and keep people from panicking. The four people quickly moved from the room, and headed to the front entrance. One of the black SUVs had been brought back to the entrance. The doors opened, and Natsumi along with Katherine and Minomaru boarded the SUV. It quickly sped away from the curb, en route for a safe location nearby. Tsujisaki returned to the hall, headed to the MC booth.
#7-10, Hikaru, Kristoph, Daimaru, and Yumi. They entered the area backstage, and noticed a man seeming suspicious off to the right. Hikaru directed Kristoph and Daimaru to go over to the man and quickly apprehend him.
((The next two paragraphs happen at the exact same time.))
Hikaru and Yumi quickly move onto the stage, one moving to each side of Agasa. Hikaru leaned over, whispering into his ear. "Emergency Evaucation, TPF. Orders of Tsujimoto's Alpha Team. Come with us." Yumi had taken the mic as Hikaru whispered this. "We're sorry, but due to current events ongoing in the hotel, Agasa-hakase will be unable to present his device. The next presenter will be up in a moment." They then each took an arm of Agasa, and began moving toward the stairs which were beside the stage for emergency exit into the hall.
Kristoph and Daimaru came up behind the suspicious man, Kristoph had a 9mm Glock 18 out, and he pressed it into the man's back. Daimaru moved around to the front of the man, getting a look at him and instantly realizing the identity of the presenter further down the line. "Lord Harley Hallipax, you're under arrest," he said, "Do not resist." Daimaru slid his hand into his jacket, showing he was also armed. "We are going to take you to the hotel's rear exit. Any attempt to run will result in us opening fire. Now please, place your hands behind your head."

Agasa was rather surprised when a girl whispered in his ear about the whole thing and led him off stage. A little shocked, but he wasn't sure whether if it was a case of deja vu or not. He had no other choice but to follow them. He followed them downstairs and went to wherever they were taking him. He had no idea what was going on or why this was happening... was someone about to attack him? He tried to figure out what happened before he knew what was about to happen next.
Meanwhile...
Lord Hallipax didn't resist. He nodded and with a smirk, placed his hands behind his head. As if they would let him get the better of him. He had an inkling that Agasa was probably taken away by these two men who were about to arrest him for some charge that was considered false.
"Very well, gentlemen. I will come quietly, but you have nothing against me," he announced calmly as he was led away by them, the crowd staring at him as though there was something odd about it. They had no idea what it was, but Lord Hallipax knew what might have happened in the last hour or so. It's just that he's using it to his advantage, that's all.
Back to Agasa...
"What... What is going on?" Agasa asked as he tried his best to follow them. So far, he had no idea what was happening or what exactly happened in the last hour. But... he could remember that man... it was a blur, granted, but... he wasn't sure about it.

Kristoph pulled a pair of handcuffs out of his pockets, and while still holding the gun, he used his free hand to bring one arm of Hallipax down and cuff it, then the other. At that Kristoph grabbed the chain link between the mans two hands and pushed him forward, keeping a gun into the man's back. Daimaru led the way, walking them off the stage into the rear hall, toward the exit.
Hikaru and Yumi continued moving Agasa through the crowd and out to the front entryway. "There's an unidentified occurrence taking place," Hikaru said quietly. "The police radios seem to be failing, several members of security staff as well guests have become awkwardly disoriented, and we believe something may have happened involving quantum mechanics." They pushed through the front lobby which seemed to be mobbed with guests questioning about the hotel room phones and TVs, which had been strangely faltering.
They brought Agasa out the front door, and Yumi ran ahead, opening the back door of an SUV. After opening the door, she moved ahead and entered the front passenger side of the vehicle. Hikaru fell in line behind Agasa. "Get in the door of the SUV," he said, "We're taking you to a nearby TPF VIP rally point. All of Tsujimoto's personal friends and aids will be taken out of the area and to the Tsujimoto estate by chopper."

Of course, the Time Machine! Why didn't I think of that? Agasa instantly recognised those last two words: Quantum Mechanics. But... how could that happen? As he got into the SUV, Agasa checked his pockets... the two wrist-watches were missing! How did it happen and where did it go? At once, Agasa began to panic.
"Wait! The Time Machine is missing! If no-one is able to find the watch, it might put innocent lives into more danger!" Agasa cried out as the evidence of the missing watches was proven beyond without a reasonable sense of doubt. He hoped that someone would find that watch or else it could go from bad to worse.
Back, inside the unidentified hotel...
Lord Hallipax grinned to himself. He knew that he didn't have the watches that Agasa made, but his accomplice did. He managed to smuggle them just in time before the two men were able to arrest him without delay. He hoped that his accomplice would do what he couldn't do: eliminate Agasa.
Meanwhile... in some undefined location...
Lord Hallipax's accomplice had the two watches: the stun wrist watch and the time machine. He checked it, ever so carefully... before he put the Time Machine back in his pocket and the stun-wrist watch... worn on his left wrist. He knew, from Lord Hallipax's information, on how to use that stun-wrist watch without wasting too much time on it. With a careful smirk, Lord Hallipax's accomplice saw a SUV parked at a unknown location. He knew that if he approached it, he would be caught. So... he decided as soon as the SUV was going to go, he would place a tracking device and follow them. That would have been much easier to do and a hell of a lot easier to eliminate Agasa when they're not around. Well, almost.
