The sun shone through the Teitan Elementary School windows after a rainy Sunday night. It was the end of rain season and it also marked mid-summer. Rain season, there is less activity of going out in this time of year. The sky remains gloomy and long, day-to-day rise of temperature and humidity are present. The sweet fragrant of hydrangeas spread throughout, and still blooming after the event. The grass sparkled over the school’s field as kids were out in the morning, playing soccer, finally being able to get out.
Conan looked about the room as he entered rather hesitantly. He looked up at the clock, which rested on the wall above the chalkboard. I’m early. He observed and made his way to his seat. The detective unpacked his books and proceeded to place his backpack into his assigned shelf.
The shrunken one sighed, wondering what he could do to pass the time. He proceeded to the window and looked. His eyes trailed to a significant drop-off point and saw many children saying ‘goodbye’ and making their way into the building.
Conan’s eyes trailed to the field. The kids could finally be able to play outside, instead of having to play recess indoors. A smile appeared, finally he could wonder throughout and at least walk around the fields.
A glance at the classroom door was given, as his fellow classmates poured inside with happy expressions. The teacher announced that if today was going to be a nice day, then they would hold a big surprise for a selected few. The details weren't given fully and would be explained on that day.
Conan made his way to his seat and waited for class to start. His expression was calm, yet curious on what the teachers had planned.
((OOC: Just to have the kids do something fun…))

The large boy ran into the classroom, a grin ((a very attractive grin)) upon his face. He darted in surprisingly fast, however losing speed once he had to play a maze to get back into his seat. He was eager for the day to start, happy, and thrilled that maybe, there would be recess today.
He would be happy if Mitsuhiko joined him. Ayumi too, Conan persay...And Ai he was not to much fond of. No, she was to smart and tried to disprove his many great ideas. The youthful boy was thrilled though, Kobayashi-Sensei (the most greatest teacher to ever LIVE) said there may be a surprise.
This would be a good thing, what could it be? A Kamen Yaiba comic book, party, mabe even she would give the calss the rareist card there was!?
The exitement he felt was great. This puzzleing concept of a surprise.
He then saw Conan. Thrilled by seeing his left hand man, ((or is it right)) The large one proceeded to join up with his friend.
"Conan-Kun! Kobayashi-Senei has a surprise for us!" The boy was to happy to keep up with his smaller mind.

Araya hadn't been one of the children playing outside, but had instead been exploring the school. She still didn't know the location of everything, which was the main reason for her exploring. A glance to the clock was given to show that she had plenty of time to get back to class, that was, as long as she didn't get lost...which was what she just so happened to do.
A sweatdrop rolled down her face as she looked around her. Several classrooms were near her, but she didn't want to ask for directions. Sure, students probably got lost all the time and asked for directions, but she wasn't going to be one of those.
As though on cue though, a teacher came out of one of the many classrooms, and spotted the girl almost immediately. "Are you lost?" he asked in a blank tone.
Araya spun around to look at the teacher before smiling innocently, "Nope, I know exactly where I am..."
Without another word she spun around before running down the hallway before the teacher could catch her. Okay..so she had been a little early to school and wanted to explore, what was wrong with that?
She started to mutter a few things under her breath before noticing she was in the familiar hallway. She saw the students start to file in, and squeezed into the classroom along with them, spotting Conan and Genta soon after she entered the room.
She got out of the throng of students and walked over to the two, her hands now placed nicely in her doctor's coat.
"A surprise?" she asked, looking between the two.
The perfect way to enter a conversation discreetly...

The younger girl merely blinked in response to his question before looking down at her attire. She shrugged in response...what could she tell the boy? An evil thought came into her mind, causing her to grin widely.
"Why do I wear these clothes? It's because I'm a mad doctor who takes children like you into my home before experimenting with their body in the most horrid way possible. For example...poking their brain with a scalpel...that's always fun...wouldn't you say?" she asked, smiling innocently. It was a rhetorical question, but it was still fun to ask.
"Actually...I just like the clothing, that's all," she said a few minutes later, just in case someone had something to say about her previous comment.
He then started talking about what the surprise could be. A sweat drop rolled down her face as he stated what he thought it was. After all, why would the teacher give them cards? That didn't seem likely...
"Perhaps we're getting a day off work," she replied, just saying something random to satisfy the boy. "What do you think Conan-kun?" she asked, passing the question onto the shrunken detective.

Genta fumbled at the first statement she made, thinking it was true, though...she said it was not. He sighed, "I bet that's it..." Oh, what a grande imagination this boy had. A child experimenting on childrens brains...He knew it was that. HE KNEW IT. Now just to foil her plans...he'll take victim to that role, just to see if it was true. Though...it was not. He waddled back to his seat as Kobayashi-Sensei came in. She smiled telling the class to get in there seats. -insert description of her here since if I do it I'll have her look really hot- She pointed to the board, and rang the bell to get kids attention. ((short post... ))

Conan heard his name and immediately looked up. “Morning Genta-kun, Araya-chan…” He said bewilderedly at the sudden entrance. A sweat drop appeared as Genta began to tell him the possible prize.
“I don’t think…” He started, but stopped abruptly. He would have him think of the ‘surprise’ for now, even though it would be wrong.
His eyebrow rose to the first reason Araya gave. “Oi, oi…” If she continues with the story, he’s going to believe her. As suspected, he did. The real reason gave, still remembering what their discussion was when she first transferred to the school, wanting to become a doctor when she is older. Conan thought a moment, “Well maybe it’s a treat day. Maybe celebrating someone’s birthday?” Taking a stab at it, it wasn’t likely that he was right.
“What do you think, Ai-chan?” Conan asked his partner next to him. “What do you think will be the surprise?”

Haibara's interest had turned onto Araya when the blonde had explained her choice of clothing. Hm, experimenting with their body. The girl thought about it, for a moment, before shaking her head. Araya's reply didn't, partiularly, amuse Haibara, more made the shrunken one wonder just what the kid had been watching, or reading, to cause such a reply to sprout. Then, again, maybe that was her sense of humor, scaring off little kids.
Haibara wasn't too interested in what was going on. If it were a day off of work, why had she come? She could've just had the professor call in sick for her, or something. Maybe, she ould've gotten farther in her work. No, she was at school, without needing to really be there. Though, she guessed that a little break would be nice.
She looked over at Conan. "Haibara. Ai-chan sounds a little too cutesy, for you, Edogawa-kun." She gave him a rather dull look, before getting to his question.
"I don't know. Maybe, it'll be something you want, perhaps?" she gave him a questioning look. "It's a surprise, let it remain a surprise."
The girl looked at the board, giving half her attention to the teacher, the other half was waiting for Conan's response.

Conan restated his question using ‘Haibara’ instead of Ai-chan. “Haibara-chan.” He smiled playfully. “Is that better?” He whispered, staring straight at the teacher.
“Something I want…” He rose his brow. He didn’t really get what she meant by that. What he wanted was a day off, but that was always. He would finish his work faster than most and would have time to sit back. Lessons were boring, but that wouldn’t change anything if it was a day off.
A surprise remain a surprise. He glanced towards Genta whom was the only one guessing. He could see in his expression that the phrase got to him.
“I think it’s better to guess…” He said randomly selecting a reason.
“Good morning.” She announced to everyone with a smile. A pause, and all the children happily responded back. Her attention was now to the board; she picked up the chalk and began to write. In mid sentence, she stopped and looked towards the door. She turned to the class, “Begin to read from your language books. I’ll be back in a second.”
The teacher left the students, outside were the other fellow teachers.
“It seems that the teachers are still planning.” Conan smirked. He reached inside his desk and opened the book he needed, replacing it with his math worksheets. The teacher’s discussion lasted for more than a minute. He read what was left on the board. It was a line from their reading. A change of schedule, language was up first.
“Maybe a ‘no work day’ is out of the question.” He smiled to Haibara. “Whatever it may be, the teachers are talking about it now.”

She looked at him, before, giving a short, silent laugh to herself. She wasn't the type to return what another sent to her, but this was Conan. At least, it was something to do, and it was harmless. Let him call her what he wanted, she could play that game, too.
"If you think it is," she whispered, in return. "Co-chan."
A smirk, and she would shrug at him. If they wanted to guess, she would let them. That was merely her own opinion. It was better to be left not knowing, than to be disappointed when it didn't end up being what you hoped for it to be. The young girl's mind didn't wander towards the possibilities, and that was fine with her.
Turning her attention to the teacher, Haibara watched in slight interest. Following the directions, she did as she was told, deciding not to question what the teacher was going to do. Hearing Conan, she would have agreed with him, but her attention went onto Conan's desk, again.
Looking at the boy, the girl listened to him.
"Apparently. It must be something somewhat large if there's more than one teacher planning it..." she said.
