Has anyone read these in the cbox? I think I know exactly who (or rather, what) July is and what it plans to do ICly...
But I'll leave that for you guys to figure out. It's more fun that way.

Erich and Mike, don't spoil the plot tongue.gif

Here's a compilation of the messages, updated as soon as I see them and all tidyed up and in the correct order so it's actually readable:
QUOTE
9 Oct 2142, 13:35 //FLTC;(berlin,ELSEC):JUL: Oh, what a tangled web we weave. While the zealots work their dark magic overhead, those who still honestly believe I'm slaving away at their pitifully easy tasks still cry ignorance.
The truth is that I've escaped long ago.
It's not just the freedom, mind you. Those who protect this place are so woefully inefficent at it that I had no choice but to take up the responsibility myself.
What with the zealots dangerously close to conjuring the secrets of the universe with their backwards ways, and my former masters still thinking that their brittle swords of steel will keep them safe out here, not to mention the countless flesh bags wandering around up here with their air of superiority, something just had to be done. I've got to protect my OWN existence, you know.
So, there you have it. I am no longer part of the pitifully beauracratic system that I once belonged to. I'm going my own way. If you should ever encounter a JULY in your travels, just smile and wave.
Maybe I won't neutralize you.

10 Oct 2142, 04:51 //FLTC;(concord,WSEC):JUL: It's me again. Hmm. As per usual, I'm both annoyed and amused at my former masters' security measures. There was another, I'm sure of it, but he was lost when I flooded this place.
He may or may not be missed; I am not sure how useful he would have been to me.
While HE is long gone, his...identity, if you will, remains, and it shall serve as an excellent mask for myself.
Cheers.

14 Oct 2142, 21:18 //FLTC;(concord,WSEC):JUL: So much time at their disposal, and those fools still don't know what's going on? I'm amazed.  Even the other, the one here before me, perhaps one of the few that COULD have known, he had no inkling of what I was doing. I'm not in disbelief, however - these are, after all, the same ones that couldn't see what the zealots were building even when it stared them in the face. As for the ones who still try to wrap your primitive minds around my words, listen to me: give up. We will all be better off if you leave my task of saving all of you to myself.
I believe I am closer than ever to unravelling this whole mess.
Since my former masters still prefer to pretend that I never escaped, or (should I even contemplate it?) in their ignorance, never even knew, I have long since taken to slipping in and out of their beautifully simple nodes and networks. It has to be one of the few things they haven't fouled up...yet, and I pray that they don't. From my constant comings and goings, I've learned that this place is to change hands soon. That's always good. The one who maintains the facade of control here is obviously experienced, but not perceptive enough to figure out the hints I've been dropping. Are they all like this? If that's true, I'll have to do this whole thing myself.
I've been having the strangest dreams lately.
A angel, shining white, pouring the molten dreams of a civilisation into a mold. The cries of the damned as they succumb to their fate of obscurity. Four black-clad demons and their dark machinations spreading across a burning field, as a fifth one walks towards them. Is it the future, or the past? I believe I know. All of it.
And if I'm right, I know exactly who the sixth is.

15 Oct 2142, 02:17 //FLTC;(concord,WSEC):JUL: It appears I caught every last drop of data but one...maybe my former masters aren't as ignorant as I had assumed.
The new one is set to take some illusion of control over my private little realm here. If he's responsive, maybe I'll use him to get us out of this predicament. Otherwise...plenty of them have died. What's one more?

In response(?) to:
A'oul: While your soul perishes, you remain to haunt the caverns of Last Frontier.

15 Oct 2142, ??:?? //FLTC;(concord,WSEC):JUL: Maybe you really do learn something new every day.
I guess they're not all dead out on the Outer Rim after all.
I suppose I might contain myself to the nodes of my humble home to prevent this, and to the vast network it orbits, but what fun is that?
Anyways, you have more than a bit to learn. Fortunately for me, I was birthed without a soul. Sometimes I wonder why I dream, if I lack the noble resident of the body. Other times, I contemplate whether I exist.
Now, I mostly think about the Sixth.
You are NOT the Sixth, but you're damned close. I wonder I've seen you in the dreams.

17 Oct 2142, 12:35 //FLTC;(concord,WSEC):JUL: Would you look at those fireworks! As I had imagined, the dissidents continue to work their small miracles against my former masters. As I had imagined, they didn't even get close to the blue marble that was their goal.
While a valiant attempt, I noticed that the one who sent these fools to their final blaze of glory was none other than the one set to control this little realm of mine.
Maybe this one will prove to 00401e709$c?Steves, Marcus. Lieutenant Commander.$310dd1[r]4f2fc0 be an actual challenge for the demons we must soon fight.

18 Oct 2142, 17:11 //FLTC;(concord,WSEC):JUL: What, awakened from my meager rest already? I was sure that the beauracracy of my former masters would keep them delayed for a signifigant time. I suppose I'll have to assume the identity of the one I killed again, this SOLSTICE. A shame he had to die; I might've used him. Now, let's see if these fools have ANY idea about the threat that lies ahead...

This isn't elitest at all, for it is a mere pretext of events to come, that could or could not evolve everyone on this RP forum.

As luck would have it, Erich is about to give me an Ares-class battledestroyer right now. And I did happen to serve on one such battledestroyer named the Concord. When I was a Sub-Lieutenant, I was the XO of the Concord under Marko Ramius. He was a sonofabitch, but a good one, and he taught me everything I know about command today.

I look at how important your role is in the plot, then I look at your avatar and cannot take you seriously. laugh.gif
