Yeah, the Imperium is full of dumb, ignorant techpriests. Without the disciples of Omnissiah the Imperium would have the best technology in the entire universe.

No, not gundam, because gundam relies mainly on close combat.

have you actually watched any of the original series? i am guessing you are basing your assumptions on "gundam wing"

whilst the RX-78 was mainly designed as a close combat mobile suit, it could be quite easily outfitted with a variety of long range weaponry.

and it also depends on what you mean by "go gundam", if you mean mobile suit, well, the zaku and guncannon along with the DOM were all designed principally for long range combat.

come to think about it, the Dom is a good model of what a tau titan could look like, massive thrusters built into its feet to make it move around quickly and hover, and a big gun....

and, the other question is, would tau abhor CC between big fecking robots as much as they abhor it between people? after all, if your sword is 100ft long.... is it really "close" combat?

well depending on the control system, if it is a brain interfaze, joysticks, vuduo suit
some of those basicly put the piolits into ultra contal as if it were there own body the same efect that causes "ghost pain" in crisis suit pilots.

and sorry i spelled gudam wrong

Yeah, because thats what I thought he meant. Thats what most young people think of when they think gundam. A lot of older gundam stuff is much more into long ranged combat.

When your the size of a gundam, 100 ft is pretty close.

Exactly older gundams are ranged, and many of the wing era gundarms are too.

Heavy arms was my main inspiration for weapon systems couple with Wings mobility and enormous rifle (Endless waltz's had uber duel cannon) I invisioned a single melee one that would probably be utilised with the shield system for best effect as 2 swords are a disadvantage at range and the shield isn't a weapon set up. However i have seen at least 3 other gundam versions. Including the crappier stuff with all the weird looking gundams.Ick.

Like the one with the midget gundams? That stupid show took the gundam out of gundam. Made something that looked amazing big, look really stupid when small.
