Im puzzled.
Having just started Tau BFG and AI as well as a fledgling 40k army. The Barracuda is in all 3 games. 40k and AI and also BFG as a Fighter. So why isnt the AI fighter a orbital craft like the thunderhawk etc.... does this mean we have 2 classes of fighter... orbital and atmospheric? or is it the same but cant break atmosphere and requires a lander to move theatres. Whats your impression on the Barracuda. -------------------- "Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Well my only exposure to it is in 40K where I feel it comes off like a fast, less armoured hammerhead.
It's not unreasonable though to think that it requires a carrier of some sort to go from atmosphere to orbit, though I would think it can fall back on its own alright. -------------------- Once Upon A Midnight Dreary...

Im beginning to think that the Barracuda is the same vessel... And that the the atrmospheric to orbit rules arnt represented due to game balance.

That seems most likely.
I know that the Manta in BFG, AI, Epic, and 40K are all meant to be the same craft with different payload loadouts. -------------------- Once Upon A Midnight Dreary...
