I had to go to Sourceforge to download and compile it from the repository. Overall looks like it will be nice to learn something from. smile.gif

I haven't looked at the code for it yet. I've been doing C++ stuff and it's probably messed my thinking up a little. It really doesn't help that I've been goofing off with electronics for the past couple weeks. Soon I'll get back on track.

A month ago, I was working on a 3d RTS engine from a book, I think I learned quite a bit from it, but it's all in C++ and DirectX. There's lots of bugs in the code and I've had to rework stuff to make it work. It's using the STL and I got stuck on the AI part because the guy uses STL vectors everywhere and I changed them to linked lists. sad.gif

Really I think it's too big of a project for just one person to do all by themselves.

I'm sure you could tackle it. Any time I get in a slump like that, I just go and research the topic a bit more and normally I'll find a solution to whatever road-block I may be facing.

It's harder without a plan, and I'm so disorganized it's sad. biggrin.gif

I really need to spend more time on doing just one thing, and then maybe I'll be able to complete that one thing. I should put some of my projects on the shelf so I can get something done.

Now I know what to do, make a list and mark stuff off when I'm done with it. That should be a good start I think. smile.gif

I've been keeping things written down on whiteboards to keep myself reminded of what needs to be done.

That's probably how lots of indie developers do it, right?

I should probably consider something I could put on the wall above my pc to show me what's left. I think it's a good idea. biggrin.gif

I know a lot of other indies do it. I only do it because there's so many other things going on that I couldn't possibly remember every single thing that needs to be done. Especially nowadays since I've been working on recording with the local metal band.
