jagex's recovery system, choose if you like it or not :D

i personally, hate the jagex recovery system. the rule on 20 minutes should be extended to 2 hours because it takes a long time to extract billing information and such, also some people just arnt that good with computers

Fortunately, I've never had to use it.

I can guess it would be slightly annoying though. Jagex' customer support isn't known for it's top-notch quality. At least they try though.

i have indeed used the recovery system 2 times, i think. both of which i had gotten hacked. please note this was a very long time ago, when i was just starting out, worth about 150k, and having a combat level and total level of about 35 and 150 .
once was my first time, noob messaged me and said he accedently reported me, and needed my password to correct it so i didnt get banned, so being the unknowing noob i was, and not wanting to get banned, and not knowing about scammers, gave him my password. found out that was a "no no" when i told my mom about it, and she told me to get it back! so i used it to get my password back that time. as i recall it was actually pritty easy and fast, but that was a long time ago.

a few months later, but still in the same timeframe of me being a noob, entered my password on one of those fake "runescape 3" things. tryed to log on a few days later, i actually didnt loose my password, but i got banned looked at the evidence, i was spamming "rs 3 is out" and i made my appeal and got unbanned, then i changed my password

to that day i have never entered my password anywere but on the login screen. so though i have used the recover system, i havent used it in well over a year, possibly 2. so i wouldnt know what its currently like. mabey its gotten worse, mabey better. i hope i never find out and as little people as possible have to too.

thanks for all the great replies so far notice second post was kastor i was hacked 2 days ago, and gosh i really did not like how they used java applets to log you in.. the red x thingy happened and i had to go on my other computer.. such a hassle

they ask you this huge amount of questions and give you 20 minutes to do it :'(
if you get most of the questions right they change the pass to what you request so you can log in
