Card text:

The next 2 damage that a source of your choice would deal to you or a permanent you control this turn is dealt to target creature or player instead.

So, if I my opponent has Goblin Outlander and he or she attacks with Jund Hackblade and I respond by casting Harm's Way (I choose Jund Hackblade as a damage source and target the damage to Goblin Outlander), is Goblin Outlander destroyed?

My opinion is Goblin Outlander is destroyed because I cast Harm's Way for Jund Hackblade and the damage is targeted from non white (Jund Hackblade).

What's the right rule for this card (Harm's Way), guys?

I'm sorry to tell you. But i think you are wrong. Because protection from white means it can't be targeted by white so you can't. Target the creature with harm ways.

Cheers

just confirming: aldo bener.

harm's way is cast with a target and a source. goblin outlander can't become the target of harm's way (protection from white means it can't be targeted by anything white).

If it was the other way around (casting harm's way targeting jund hackblade with goblin outlander as a source) itu baru bisa. jund hackbladenya mati deh.

a little bonus: if you cast harm's way targetting White Knight (legal target) and you choose jund hackblade as the source, white knight doesn't die because the damage is prevented (protection from black, jund hackblade is black).

Thanks a lot, guys! :D

Hmmm.. yeah "choice" and "target" are the playing words in Harm's Way would change the result of the game!

I like this card and happy to cast it at the right moment ^_^
