true.....but its kinda getting annoying that steam has some of the maintenance to work around this makes my achievements harder to save

Really? Well try texting a friend when you load portal.
That should fix it. It sometimes logs you out. And also, have you updated steam recently? That's one major problem. -------------------- <("<) <( " )> (>")>
