I've been bored with the show, so I've been comparing the monthly airdates that SON collects. In 2007 and 2008, Jerry had 108 airdates each year, averaging about 2 shows a week. So far in 2009, he's averaging right now 1.8 shows a week. That doesn't seem like much of a difference, but he averaged 9 shows a month in 2007-2008, but so far only 7 shows a month this year (he only had 5 appearances in September). At the end of September 2009, he has a total of 65 airdates this year, compared to 88 at the end of September 2008 and 79 at the end of September 2007.

So far, Clint's mostly background in this stalker story, but if the spoilers and rumors are true, hopefully his part will pick up. It is his daughters being stalked, after all. Not to mention, he's the head of the family and runs the family company. He should be doing more than just calling the cops for updates. Especially since Jared looks so suspicious, after finally gaining Clint's acceptance. Jared made a big deal out of going to Clint to ask for Natalie's hand in marriage - so as father-in-law, Clint should get to have his say. [spoiler]And if it's Mitch pulling the strings, maybe tptb are trying to pick up where they left off on the Buch story in Feb 2008 before the writers' strike, where rumor has it Jessica's paternity was going to be fixed back to Clint and Viki while Rex is really Mitch's child.[/spoiler]

I also followed the airdates of the 6 main older contract actors (ES, RS, RSW, HBS, JvD, and BK). While ES, RS, and RSW have slightly less airdates at this time than they did same time last year, Jerry has about 20 less airdates while BK has about 30 less (52 compared to 85). Actually RSW is almost on target (102 instead of 107), and HBS has consistently gained substantial ground ever since she signed a new contract (2006: 25; 2007: 64; 2008: 84; as of Sep 2009: 100). So far this year, in order of most to least airdates - RSW 102 (out of 189), HBS 100, RS 96, ES 84, JvD 65, and BK 52.

JvD: 8+12+2+6+7+10+8+7+5+2 = 67 [31.8%, ~1.68 shows/week]
HBS: 13+14+12+12+6+9+11+12+11+9 = 109 [51.7%, ~2.73 shows/week]
RSW: 7+14+11+13+8+11+13+12+13+10 = 112 [53.1%, ~2.8 shows/week]
