It was a warm (with a gentle breeze) morning in Hazzard and I was visiting with Daisy (at the Boar's nest) & showing her pictures from our wedding (Bo's & mine) and the phone rang & since I was close I answered it. "Hello, this is the Boar's nest, may I help you!" and it was Doc Applebee "Yes, I have the results from your blood test and I have some good news" & I said "Thank you I've been waiting for what seems a long time" and he said "Well, your wait is over & you are expecting!" & I said "Thank you for the call" and I hung up.
Daisy came right over and she asked "Is everything alright?" (there wasn't very many people there at the time) & I said "No, That was Doc Applebee and he said I was expecting!" and Daisy said "That's wonderful" as Bo, Luke, Uncle Jesse came in the door & Bo asked "What's so wonderful?" and I told him "I just got a call from Doc Applebee and he said that I'm expecting!" & Bo put his arms around me and we kissed & later he said "That is wonderful" and Luke, Uncle Jesse got up from their table & gave me a kiss on the cheek and they shook hands with Bo.
Later that day in the evening Bo and I got the chance to be alone (swinging on the porch swing) & he held me so close as he started to talk "I can't believe we're expecting" and I said "Get use to it and after 8 or 9 months you'll be a DAD" & he said "Me a Dad, go figure" and I said "Don't forget, I'll be a Mom" as he pulled me closer & we kissed.
