[s-lit]reflections Of Peace And Darkness, where do you belong?

On a great planet, there exists two forest. Neither have names, so the locals merely call them, the Peaceful Forest and the Forest of Darkness. The Peaceful Forest knows nothing of war, hatred or negativity. All creatures there live in harmony and the forest has never seen death. No blood has been shed there, no tears have fallen. Nothing. The place is paradise. The other forest, the Forest of Darkness, is death. Blood stains the forest floor everyday, tears created the shallow rivers that flow through it. The trees are all dead, yet still contain their leaves. (which are also dead) The creatures there are blood-thirsty demons. Although they do not wage war on each other, death comes upon them easily.

The Peaceful Forest cannot be entered by any means but a portal, created by Swiftalon, the rumored falcon who upholds the reputation of being able to control portals. Swiftalon, the only one who can open the portal, lives somewhere unknown to all. The portal itself lies on a beach, beyond a simple forest and plains. The Forest of Darkness is shrouded in a ark aura, making the only ways to get in these "doorways" or small openings. These doorways close upon entry, as another one somewhere else opens. Once you enter, you cannot leave without the assistance of another creature inhabiting the forest, even if you indeed found another doorway.

One day, on the day of a festival, many gathered around. All sorts of creatures attended this festival in honor of balance. You arrive in the village main on this day, the village of Beliance. Beliance is flourished with life and festivities, so you decide to stay. Only then do you over hear rumors about the two forests and how balance effects then. The holiday moves on, but out of no where, a dragon roars, a wolf howls, a unicorn rears, neighing loudly and all the creatures go into chaos. In the confusion, a strange creature with black fur and three tails, almost resembling a wolf, comes out and guides you to safety. You don't know what is going on, but apparently it's bad. She leads you and a few others right to the beach, where she sprints back to the village to help fight off whatever caused the hectic brawl.

Although you were lead to the beach, the same creature lead some to another location that you are unaware of. These few were taken to the edge of a forest. The forest rumored by the townsfolk. This ends up in two groups. The group by the forest of Darkness and the group by the Peaceful Forest.

You are any kind of non-pokemon species. It can be made up. You, after a series of chaotic events, are either taken by the Forest of Darkness or the Peaceful Forest. Choose wisely, as this decision makes a great deal different in the story.

Name: Seki
Species: Unicorn/Demon
Gender: female
Age: About 10 in human years

Personality: Seki is kind-hearted and calm. She can always keep her cool and is very mischievous. She loves to explore and get around. Since she has no family or friends, she is filled with solitude, but never gets lonely. She is perfectly happy on her own and hates nothing.
Appearance: Seki has two forms: a demon and a unicorn. Her unicorn form has a pearly horn which spirals to the top, silky feathered white wings and cloven hooves. A pure white mane and tail, and pale blue eyes like the Ocean. Her demon form is reptilian and dragon-like. Her red, black, and yellow scales shimmer in the darkness and her single horn is still there, only more shaped like a devil's horn. Her eyes are pitch black and her claws, needle sharp. Her tail has a blue "flap" at the end.

Personality: Despite her usually cheery appearance and nearly carefree ways around others, she is quite a deep thinking, almost dark type. During her junior high school years, she was deceived, lied to, and ignored. This has lead her to be more introverted and has a bad habit of judging someone negatively before getting to know them. She has an unusual obsession with blood and gore. She did have a very supporting family, and one wonderful friend but that did not seem to appease her. Always searching for something more, even if she does not know what it is. Silent, and with a presence more felt than ever heard, she longs for something she can not recognize, let alone understand.

Appearance: Around 5"4, she is freakishly thin, even more-so than she should be, though she is not anorexic. She has straight, long dark brown hair that falls down to her shoulders. She has large, hazel eyes that seem inquiring at the most, other times, dark, cold and uninviting. Usually she wears a dark purple hooded sweater, twice her regular size with stains all over it as if it had been overused. A pair of old jeans that cling to her, her favourite thing to wear. In her pockets are a few things of importance. A jackknife, some money, and dry matches for a fire(she is always prepared for the wild).

Personality:Rhurza is an active, young Kitsune who is always looking for someone to play with. She often gets in trouble with people, but usally doesn't feel sad. When she's not getting in trouble, She's sleeping peacfully in a den; made inside a Tree trunk. She always loses her things, except for her necklace. Rhuza is almost always up and about, and curious of everything. But for some reason, she is now currently almost always tired. Maybe from all those days playing all night?
Appearance: Rhurza has Orang fur, and a black ring around each of her nine tails. She has amber eyes, with two black triangle shaped tatoos under each. Her muscles are strong, from all her running around and climbing. Her claws are sharp long and curved for easy climbing, and her strong bones let her jump from branch to branch. She also has a necklace around her neck, that has a flame shaped pendant. Her tireness started when she lost the necklace....

"What a dumb place..."

Swatting away the lush, green tree branches that hung in her way, she trampled through the forest. It was no use, this place all looked the same. The sweet, optimistic chirping of the birds hurt her ears; at least the bright sunlight was filtered by the canopy of leaves.

She came to a halt on top of a semi-tall, dark green moss pile that had grown over the years. Maybe she could find her way back from here? She scanned the area, her hopes high, only to find she had now forgotten the way she came from. Why had she left the place where that creature had left her? Oh, that's right, she had become impatient and tried to find her way back home through this forest. She was beginning to despise even herself, through her years for finding ways to hate everything, despite its beauty.

Spotting an old log nearby, she sits on it and takes off her sweater. How warm and humid it was in here. She began to ponder on the hope that maybe a search and rescue team will come and save her. She then wondered if they could find her, or where she was. Leaning backwards, she lies on the log, one foot on the ground. and stares up at the wide expanse of leaves, as if they were a massive roof.

In a congested field of grass, a single horse browsed around and grazed. Of course, only in the eyes of a human was she a horse. She was actually a Unicorn. Silky white fur grew on her body, her hooves were cleaved and her tail was like that of a lion. Her mane gleamed in radiance, and the tip of her invisible horn glowed faintly, filled with an aura that gave others emotion around her. After she was content, she paced along the field. She decided clearly, and trotted up to the forest she knew and deeply loved. Sniffing the ground for any regal treats, she smelled something different. Curiosity caused her to perk up and follow what little evidence she had to go by. She lost the scent to many more scents. What was this? She decided to follow it more and trailed on. Soon, the forest ended and she came to a plain field with nothing but grass. In front of her there was a tall hill. She raced up it and looked over, seeing something that filled her with aghast emotions. A village she had never seen in her life was below, and what inhabited it was what really shocked her. No, it had not been humans, but rather, creatures of all sorts, species and breeds. Decorations hung from every house and tables with luxurious foods sprawled all on them were scattered everywhere. Filled with excitement, the young unicorn dashed down the hill.

A large fox sat on the branch of a tree, something that looked like a necklace was around her neck. But, She couldn't be a fox, she had 9 poofy tails, and markings around each one. She was a orange color, and strong muscles as she jumped from the tree.

"Hmm?" She looked down, and saw a village. There were all diffrent types of species, and she looked delighted.

"Maybe, Some are friendly!" She thought out loud, then ran over to it. "Wonder if any like to play..."

Personality:Preferring loneliness, Yami doesn't talk to others much. When confronted with a conversation, Yami will rather turn away, or just ignore.
Appearance:Short, white dog ears protrude from long brown hair. Yami has beautiful blue eyes, but they're always covered up by the bangs of her hair, as her real, human ears are covered by the same hair. She wears a black hoody, under is a dark purple shirt. Yami wears jeans, but a long, white, fluffy tail can also be seen. Without her ears and tail, one would think that Yami was just a regular human girl, but just three small things like two ears and a tail could change one's perspective of her. Yami's hands are almost always in her hoody pockets, for she prefers to keep secretive.
Other:She's a very good fighter, for she grew up with an older brother who seemed to have a passion for wrestling one down. A golden ring can be seen on her right middle finger. It turns out that this ring is one of the only things that she has left to remember her family, for they died of a disease long ago.

Seki lowered her ears, surrounded by many creatures, bigger, and even smaller than her. She passed, dwarfs, rocs, drakes, sirens, griffins, wolves, and even normal animals with something odd about them, such as wings, extra limbs and so on. She even passed a Kitsune! Amazing. Coming to a table, she quickly stole a chocolate delicacy and darted off, but no one minded. Everyone was taking from the table. Had it been that what she did was...fine? She smiled at the luxuries awaiting her arrival and chomped down the small, round sphere of chocolate before invading other tables.

Yami sighed, looking past her dark purple hair down at a small village from atop one of the tall buildings. Normal people were walking around, minding their own business. A frown was visible on her face, the sight of normal people angered her. It was the humans who spread the disease. The disease that killed her very family and left her all alone. Yami clenched her fists from inside her hoody pockets angrily. Why can't they just all die? Yami thought to herself hatefully.
