BIOGRAPHY:
Carmine Vestieri was born April 28, 1979, in the small city of Perugia, Italy, a small University style city. Lex was born at home with the help of a midwife and raised holistically, his parents refusing to give him immunization shots. To this day Carmine has scarcely used conventional medicine and has maintained a lifestyle of healthy dieting and exercise habits. Carmine attended high school in Perugia, but was moved when his father got a promotion that took the family to a small town call Liken California, a town of about 40,000 people.
Athletics have been a part of Carmine's life since an early age, where he spent much of his childhood and teen years participating in football, roller hockey, and wrestling. After a successful high school career as a wrestler in Lincoln, California, Carmine continued his wrestling along with his academics at the University of California-Davis.
Although he did not enter college on a scholarship, he was awarded one after his freshman year on the wrestling team. His sophomore year, he was the starting 133-lbs wrestler for UC-Davis, a spot that remained his for the rest of his collegiate career. While wrestling in college, Carmine became the all-time win leader for UC-Davis and a two-time NCAA Division I qualifier, finishing in the top 12 in 2002. In freestyle wrestling, Carmine competed in the University Nationals where he was a national runner-up, becoming the true alternate for the University Nationals World Team. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, Carmine stayed on staff at UC Davis as the lightweight wrestling coach and began his Pro wrestling career.
Styles first big break came in a small promotion called CWF, Styles quickly took the promotion by storm as he quickly won his three bouts. It was in CWF that Carmine first faced a cat named Chris Blue. Chris became a pain in the ass of Styles as he would attack Styles backstage every chance he got. Styles demanded a match against Blue, but management kept protecting Chris. It wasn't until Carmine Styles defeated the CWF World Champion in a Non-Title match, that Danny Frog gave Carmine the match against Chris for the CWF International Championship. The match wasn't your standard match as Danny made the match in hopes of aiding Chris Blue, and he put the two inside a Hell in a cell match. The match was a epic brawl with Chris doing everything to keep his championship, but in the end it was Styles dropping Chris through the cell with the Last Shot, giving Styles his first ever Wrestling title as he became the CWF International Champion. But the very next week Danny Frog sold the promotion to Joe Santiago, ending whatever hopes Carmine had of a CWF World Championship shot.
He didn’t want to sign with Joe Santiago, and instead took time off away from wrestling and went back to Perugia, Italy where he started a wrestling school. The school was a hit, but it made Carmine miss the spotlight of American pro-wrestling. He quickly signed a contract with Rick Major's promotion titled No Limit Championship Wrestling, where he quickly found success, as he came in second for the Sultan of the Squared Circle losing to Dominic Pericolo. Carmine didn't stop there as he went on to defeat Sean Galen to become the NLCW American Championship a belt he held for a month but lose it during a long feud with Isaac Reynolds. Carmine then went on a 7 match win streak that saw him defeat the current Undisputed Champion Bucky Skyler, earning himself a shot at the NLCW Undisputed World Championship, a match Carmine walked away as the victor and the champion.
