Welcome to the online forum for IBM Ring 81 of Sarasota!

This forum exists to facilitate and encourage communication between Ring 81 members, prospective members, and anyone belonging to or affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

On this board, you may discuss Ring 81, its related events, the Brotherhood, magicians, and any other magic-related topic. You may share tips and tricks with other board members. A subsection will also be set aside for off-topic discussion.

To activate your account, send an email to Ring81Forum@gmail.com with your real full name and your relationship to magic. The subject line should include the tag, "(Validation Request)". Authentication helps prevent spam and keep our private topics protected from the public. Accounts which are not authenticated do NOT have membership priveleges. You MUST have your account verified to get access to all the goodies.


The following are the rules of the forum. These do not apply in any way to PMs. Private Messages from member to member will never be tampered with. Just keep it legal, folks. And, of course, don't harass anybody.


THE RULES

1) Be courteous to your fellow users.

2) Lock all posts containing any manner of secret content, so that guests will be unable to view them. Users accept sole responsibility for access to the forum through their accounts or computer. Do not share, save, or write down your password in any way which might compromise the privacy of the forum.

3) Post for readability; posts predominantly in CAPSLOCK or with incomprehensible spelling errors may be edited for clarity or deleted at the moderator's discretion. Please do not reply to any topic with the sole purpose of conveying "LOL!!!!!!1", ":)", or "fdgsds". This cuts down on flooding.

4) Do not spam. Post information about your services and upcoming events in the appropriate subsection of the forum. Always be careful in any transactions or agreements. The admin cannot and will not enforce or govern any transactions..

5) Touchy topics such as advocacy of any religion or political leaning belong on another board. We are here for magic. Please also refrain from posting NSFW (Not Safe For Work) material, even if it is related to magic. This is part of our board-provider's policy. Try to avoid excessive profanity.


Persons found in violation of the above rules will be warned and messaged privately about their conduct. Repeat offenders risk being banned from the forum. Suspected trolls will lose access pending investigation. The admin reserves the right to decide whether to ban someone, but will never ban someone without due notice, cause, or explanation.

Violations may be reported through the forum or through an email sent to Ring81Forum@gmail.com with the subject line "Violation". Please do not hesitate to contact the admin about any questions you have regarding the forum. Please also make use of the FAQ.


The rules are subject to change, but updates will always be noted down and available to you. They will probably be discussed and voted upon before implementation.
