You will get something cheaper (concerning price) and if you want to you can set it to dual boot with Linux later on. Linux is a bitch to get on Mac from what I hear. With Mac you will have to unlearn what you know about how an OS works internally and externally. For some people it's hard. It was for me. Perhaps, but the fact that AMD just bought out ATI, and already has major support from Nvidia puts Intel in a bad position.

If you want something cheap..er but good go ATI right now.

Nvidia however just realised a behemoth (not in size mind you) card but its priced at 600, yet it blows ATI's current line out of the water. Cheaper then buying two cards however, and runns the same speed as two anyway (something about two chips in it I think.) look it up. Geforce 7950 GX2
