2010 Edition

-Must create a painting in MS Paint no larger than 1280x1024 and no smaller than 800x600
-ALL of the color palate is available
-ALL of the tools are available
-Try to keep the subject matter appropriate, but if you think it'd fly with this group then go for it
-Sign up date ends January 15th
-Contest ends February 5th

I might not get anything done because I'm having writers' block. :| I got nothing to express.

I'm part way through my picture already but don't worry that won't give me any sort of advantage. The past week I've been in the hospital due to the recent delivery of my daughter. I'm gonna have a hard time finding time to work on the rest of my picture but I should be able to get it done.

I realize that I still have some time to get this done but based on my level of inspiration and how things have been going, I'm not sure if I'm going to be done. Just figured I'd give an update.

Yeah, I wasn't on a computer yesterday sorry. So here's my unfinished piece a day late.

I know I lost, but where are the judges?

This is actually pretty tough. I'm gonna need some time to deliberate.

I enjoyed both of the other submissions.

I had this whole background planned out but I just wasn't able to get it done.

So I loved all the submissions, but I had to make a decision. Yart has asked that his piece not be judged, so here are the results:

Second Place: Skyefyre

Great piece, but I did have to dock you for not finishing. Nice dynamic pose and great coloring makes this a wonderful piece.

First Place: Clay Inferno

Very cool use of one brush tool to create an interesting landscape. I love the whole idea of adding craters and such, rather than just making it a generic "sunset over the land" piece. Great job!

This was a lot of fun, I feel that if Skye had more time his piece would have definitely won.

Hopefully the 2011 edition will be even bigger.
