-----------------------------------------------

While you're out exploring, you may run across various kinds of monsters. These vary by area, as do the frequencies at which certain varieties of the species may be found. For example, one creature very common in a certain area may be rare in another area.

How exactly does one find a monster? Well, after you feel you've RP'd enough to merit a monster's arrival, you must post a petition form in the _______ forum. This form lets the staff know that they need to roll for your monster and RP the monster with you. The type of monster that appears depends on your post count, your current Exploration Experience, and your Adventurer's Index -- and also, most importantly, luck!

Note that the process of finding a monster is generally quick, and you may not find one all the time -- but the process of taming or fighting the monster may take a long while, and will depend on both your response speed and the staff's response time. While we are aiming to go through the process as fast as possible, there may be times when it may take a week or more for you to finish your encounter with the monster.

What exactly you do when you find a monster is up to you. Would you like to tame it, and let it come back to your keep with you? Or would you like to fight it, and try to take its valuable loot? Or perhaps you might even run away in fear from a monster that is stronger than your own? Whatever the case may be, our staff will diligently RP the encounter with you. =)

Defeating in a monster results in the possibility of looting items off of it - generally, easily-shed body parts (such as lizard tails or antlers) - that can be sold... or eventually used to make new and interesting potions.

"Tamed" monsters will not continue to travel with you while you're in the wilderness. Once a monster is tamed, your Sentinel stone will transport him back to the Ranger's Station, where he'll be held until you complete your own journey.

Please note that petitioning for monster encounters is completely optional -- that's right, if you don't want the monsters to find you, they won't. :3
