She had never been here before. Not in a long, long time. The memories had pushed themselves back, back to the deepest reaches of her mind... It was before so much. Her new life at a new life. She hadn’t spent time with the two of the in so long... Especially not the red. Not Frezic. Yes, she had played with Demur once or twice since the training cavern when they were hatchlings, but Frezic had always wanted to stay at home. Now it was apparent why. Nether dragonic, red or yellow, had been here since they were hatchlings. Well, in truth, they hadn’t been here specifically ever. It was just that the cavern was familiar, almost identical to that one where Demur had almost learned to fly. They was another... two others that were with them back then. Those two lived in a different place now with different people. They were not missed. Demur Level: 2 [1/5] Loyalty: 4 [1/5] Frezic Level: 1 [4/5] Loyalty: 3 [4/5]

Frezic stood in a corner of the cavern, watching Skylark and Demur as they explored among the rocks. The great red dragonic was silent and seemed to be brooding. He wasn’t brooding, that was only Frezic ‘thinking’ look. He was using the furthest reaches of his limited intelligence to think, imagine, wish... He wish that Skylark would stand and talk with him instead of Demur. That she would pay attention to only him and not Demur OR Denzi. He wished Demur and Denzi were away and he could be alone all by himself to play in the cave with no visitors.
“There’s a nice big stalagmite over there.” The soft voice of the yellow dragonic echoed gently over the cavern walls. He sounded wistful to the girl, but annoying to his red kin. Stupid Demur. Showing off his knowledge of the fancy words. It was annoying.
“I see it.” That was the voice of Skylark, equally soft in the loud room. She was unaware of the eyes that probed her as she walked, so wrapped up was she in the fun that was exploring. “I wonder if any of these rocks have the pretty shiny stuff inside them. Er... mineral formations, I think.” She had no idea what she was talking about, of course. Just some strange rocks she had seen when she was a child. Black and plain on the outside, but a whole range of blue colors on the inside.

Power. The thought of power made Frezic bare his teeth. He had more power then all them, but he didn’t get to use it. Skylark didn’t get to see his power. Denzi either, or Demur. He could be the strongest... He wanted more. More! To do more them sit and watch. He wanted to talk to them. The great red dragonic stood, standing undecidedly on his power-filled legs. Power. He stepped forward, moving to join Skylark and Demur, but he was still hesitant. More... He... couldn’t do it. Not yet.
Demur commented to Skylark, “Hey Sky, do you think we will ever see those other dragonic again?” The girl glanced at Demur curiously, wondering what he meant. He hesitated again, then took the clue. “I mean, that one. That one day... the little one. The little girl. I’d like to speak with her again. I never got to really talk to her. She seemed like such a bright little girl... it was so wonderful to be able to converse without feeling like a complete inferior. Like someone was trying to understand and succeeding.”
The girl smiled with a mixture of sadness and curiosity. She had to think for a moment, trying to remember that day that she had tried to find friends for Demur, Frezic, and Denzi. It hadn’t been successful with the latter two, but Demur had met a young dragonic and her boy whom he had taken a liking to. Who was that boy again? Oh, yes. Silver... “I don’t know her guardian too well... But I think he does have a room in one of my homes. I could ask him about it, if you’d like.”

The dragonic did his best attempt at a human smile and glanced over at the girl gratefully. “I’d really like that, thanks Skylark.” Then he hesitated, unsure of whether he should voice his fears or just keep them to himself. How very strange this all must be for the dragonic... Demur feeling fears of something that didn’t involve his own kin or friend. The girl smiled as a reply to his thanks and waited, sensing he wanted to say something.
“Do you... think she’d remember me?” There, it was out. Demur knew Skylark wouldn’t laugh, but he was embarrassed all the same.
The girl only smiled again. “Who could forget you, Demur? It might take some time to jog her memory, but I’m sure she’ll remember you.” He smiled with relief.
Frezic watched this exchange with unparalleled amounts of jealousy. Demur talked to Skylark with such levels of language and emotion that were completely out of the red dragonic’s reach. He wanted to smash in a few walls to express his emotions, but he knew Skylark would scold him for it.

How frustrating it must be to feel such things but not be able to express them with words! All Frezic had were his raw emotions and even those weren’t enough to fully explain what he was going through. But he couldn’t take it any more. He had to do something... And since physical was all he had, that was what he was going to use.
The large red dragonic stomped away back to the wall, tail lashing out dangerously and destroying any rocks that happened to get in his way. He growled deeply in frustration, a growl that soon grew into a long, drawn-out roar that started Demur and Skylark enough that they turned their attention to him.
“Frezic?!” The girl called out in shock and worry as he began to scrape his great claws against the smooth rock wall, digging deep trenches in its surface. “Frezic, what’s wrong!” he voice was shriller now, rising to a degree of panic. What could be bothering him to such a degree?!
Demur felt the need to act, to do something about his kin’s distress. Skylark was getting worked up and he didn’t like that. He didn’t like seeing Skylark distressed to such a degree.

The red dragonic whipped his head around, glaring at the girl who called his name. He grimaced, suddenly unsure of his actions and ashamed. What was he doing? “S... sad.” The emotions surged within him at the utterance of the simple word. He had never bother to learn more then the simple words. Unable to look at the two any longer, he turned back to his retreat... The wall. “SAD.” He spoke again, this time louder. His voice echoed off the walls with frightening qualities. “Very sad...” Quite this time, as if afraid of the echoes coming back to attack him.
“Frezic...” The girl walked towards the dragonic, her friend. The oldest of her them all. Her first. She admired his red-and-yellow hide for a minute, then ventured to take a few steps forward. “Why are you sad, Frezic?”
Demur glanced at the girl fearfully, then towards the other dragonic. Frezic wasn’t in a stable state right now and the yellow didn’t want him getting any closer to Skylark then he was now. Speaking quickly in the dragonic’s own tongue, he tried to reason Frezic out of his strange mood. “Pull yourself together, red! What could be the problem that you’re upsetting the girl over?”

But since they were two beings, two relatively social species, it was only a matter of time before language started breaking the silence. And the one who broke the silence would be the dragonic. "Hey, look at the ceiling, too!" She knew the girl's thrill of looking all over a room, even in directions most people wouldn't think of.
At the dragonic's suggestion, the humanish did look up, smiling as she saw the river patterns that traced along the ceiling of the cavern. "Yeah, I know..." Her voice was quite, but loud enough to make out. "It's amazing the shapes that a few drops of water and a little time can carve out of rock..."
"That it is." Then the two fell back into silence as they continued to walk along. Occasionally, a word or comment would fall in and generate a few responses, but mostly they just had a nice, pleasant, quite walk.
