A shallow pool, ~Ashe and Night~

[Night]

Agito (Water in latin. X3)
Male

Night walked slowly down the pathway to the pond, her eyes scanning the world around her. She had never been here before, and this was her first time owning one of the creatures from some place other than the labs. She really should get out more. Maybe then she would have someone to meet here. After all, she was really just an awkward humanish girl being followed around by Agito, her companion. She really needed more friends.

Sighing, she turned around. Hoping to maybe make some new friends, to shy to actually try, she sat down. She held her hand out to the Verai, stroking its head. Eventually she would have to train the creature, but for a few moments she was content just to sit here and feel out of place.

And thats how she felt. Out of place was really the only way to describe Night. She had no friends really, no one to talk to except her creatures. She had met a nice man once, a shop keeper, but she hadn't talked to him since then. Maybe she should look into that again. She could use all the friends she could get.....

She curled her tail around her legs, pricking her ears so she could hear if Agito wandered off, she closed her eyes.

[Ashe]

The man didn't see anyone around the pond when he got there. He didn't really look, either, cause if someone was there, then they were probably with someone and not paying attention to him. Or, as he preferred, they would watch him anyway, and he could easily pull off the 'I know you're looking but I'm gonna act like I don't' attitude if he didn't look. So he carried with him a small tank, which looked horribly cramped. Painful to see, almost, with the two creatures inside having only a little bit of room to go up and down in. But it wasn't his fault they didn't make tanks big enough...

He walked to the edge of the pond, and knelt by it, placing the tank on the ground. He took off the top (he'd had it on so they couldn't jump out) and let loose the two Kraden inside. One was a Nitrous, shimmer blue like the depths of the sea, and the other was green, like its namesake; Kelp.

Once free, the pair took to diving deep in the pond, to the bottom. No more confining space! Yipee! Ashe frowned, suddenly realizing his problem. They didn't know him, and might not be coming back...

Crap.

He sat back on the grass, pulling his knees up and wrapping his arms around them. He could wait them out... Staring at the water, he noticed something's reflection moving. A blue horse-cat beast, the mount of the Verai. He blinked, and looked up- right at the creature.

[Night]

Night heard the splashing of something hitting the water and paniced. What if Agito didnt come back?! She'd only had him a few days, she couldnt have lost him already! She jumped her her feet, her eyes flinging open in startled confusion.

And there was Agito. Staring at her like a crazy lunitic. What the hell? What was that noise then? She thought to herself. Turning towards the pond, she caught sight of a man. A umm....rather atractive man. But she didnt really care much about that. She was just extreamly surprised that he had gotten around her without her hearing him. After all, wolf ears did pick up sound rather well....

Aquito, deciding to ignore his rather....strange and startled owner, dove into the pond after the kraden. He followed them to the bottem, his eyes scanning for them. Maybe he could talk to someone besides that pesky vulticus now!! The one that Night always had with her on the few occasions she ventured to the keep.

He finally found them and grinned. Hoping to make aquaintance, he introduced himself. "Hullo. I'm Agito. Whats your names?" Strait to the point. That was him.

Night, being so shy herself, lowered her eyes. She was very self consious most of the time, and couldn't bring herself to go and talk to the man. Just him being there almost brought tears to her eyes. She really didnt do well with people, especially with the past that she had......

[Ashe]

The Kraden were a bit spooked, and swam away from the horse thing that was coming to get them. They didn't know what to make of it- back home at the kennels, Ashe kept them mostly separate! They had no way of knowing that this thing didn't want to eat them! And so they swam away as fast as they could, but eventually got cornered. Curse not knowing their way around this pond! But then...it was making noise at them! They stared, big eyes even wider than usual. What did it mean? They blew a few bubbles at it, wondering what it would do. Zigbar was the bravest of them, and he inched forward.

Ashe saw that there was a girl with the Verai as well.. How'd he miss that? He stood up, brushing himself off, and smiled at her. She had wolf ears, and a tail, he noted. Nothing too unusual - his boyfriend even had such. He wasn't sure what to make of her, either, as she seemed to be practically trying to hide herself...

"I see you," he said to her, a teasing grin plastered on his face. "What's wrong?" He was never one to be nervous around other people (well, some made him slightly so), so he had no problem initiating the conversation. Nothing too flashy, though, incase she was super shy.

[Night]

Night knew that there was no way around talking to him. "Me? Umm.....Nothing." She managed to squeak out. She tried her hardest to not inch backwards, but she moved ever so slightly back anyways. She really needed to get over the past.....


Remembering, her eyes unfocused.

it was a dark night, she was out walking as she always did at that time. She wasn't allowed out in the daytime, a rule of her parents. Darn them and their unaccepting of her looks. it was only a tail, after all! She had shook herself from that memory just in time to see the man standing in the road in front of her. He had asked her why she was out so late....then remarked on her ears. And he was just like her parents; he couldn't accept the difference. And that was when he picked up the rocks.

Night shuddered back from the memories, looking up to meet Ashe's eyes. "Just, umm.....I dont know, really." She added.

The verai was confused at first. Then he smacked himself on the forhead. They couldn't understand him! He was a different creature; they probably spoke a different language. He sighed and rose back to the surface, poking his head out to watch Night and the man that had been witht the kraden.

[Ashe]

Ashe was a bit worried. She seemed to go somewhere else for a few moments, as if so lost in thought she wasn't aware of anything else. It worried him when people got like that... Who knew what could happen, when you were caught up in thoughts, memories? He sighed softly, and sat down near her. Not too close, as he still didn't know much about this girl, and he didn't want to scare her too bad. "My name's Ashe, by the way. What's yours?" He'd decided a change in topic might be suiting, for the situation. He apparently wasn't going to get anything out of her by asking things like that. Either she didn't want to tell him, or she really didn't know- either way.

"My Kraden, Jelly and Zigbar, are in the water there..." Ashe said again, relieving her of his heavy gaze and looking out toward the pond. If she was more animal than he'd thought originally, that would have a good affect on her, right? Wild animals were more at ease with nothing staring at them... "Oh, hey! Is that your Verai?"

The Kraden looked at each other, a bit confused. Had the beast decided they weren't good enough to eat? Did they look disgusting? Why, that was so rude! They took turns blowing bubbles at the tail of the beast and his humanoid mount, then turned to start looking for something to nibble on. Plants and little worm things were everywhere down here! What a feast!

[Night]

Night looked at him. So now he was avoiding looking at her? Some people were kinda strange....anyways..."My name is Night. Um....Nice to meet you?" She tried her best at a smile, realizing that this person wasn't going to hurt her. "Sorry, I guess...I guess I'm a bit shy sometimes. A few...past issues." She said quietly.

Looking, like him, out across the pond, Night caught sight of Agito. He was staring at her. He did that alot when she was around, for some reason. "Yes, that is my verai. His name is Agito. Its latin for water." She said simply. She really did come up with bad names.

Whistling, hoping to get Agito to come over, she stood up. Agito just looked at her.

Humans are so weird....he was thinking to himself. What did she want him to do? She was...standing up? Maybe she wanted him to come up. He thrust his body into the air and did a flip in it. Maybe that was what it was, right? Looking at her, he could tell that Night wasn't happy with him. Well, he did what she asked, right? umm....Right?

Night turned back to Ashe, sighing. "Hes.....not very well trained." She stated the obvious.

[Ashe]

Ashe could feel eyes on him, but he didn't look over at her. He was more focused now on the verai, and comparing it to his own. He had a rather complicated situation with his Verai at home- sure, they may be trained their names and such, but they didn't quite like him yet. The girl liked the flowers he had, and the boy liked to try and push him to his limits...

"Nice to meet you, Night," Ashe said. "That's a nice name, actually. And I understand, don't worry." He turned then to smile at her, showing he wasn't avoiding her or anything.

He turned again to watch the Verai's reaction to her whistle, wondering if hers was better trained than his. It stayed in one place, however, and he found himself smiling a bit. "Two of mine would probably do the same, even though they know to come when called..." He laughed. "They're just a tad picky, I suspect."

He didn't know how hard training the kraden would be. Which was why they were having some bonding time.

Down below, the Kraden nibbled on anything and everything. They quickly found out that rocks were not to their liking, but the plants weren't too terribly bad... They swam around some more, enjoying the freedom.

[Night]

Night blushed. "Thanks. Ashe's not a bad name either." she replied. She really was rather annoyed with Agito, but if hers wasn't the only one it shouldn't be that bad.

"I only got him yesterday," she said, pointing to the creature. "He.....doesnt really like me that much. Not many people do though, so i dont blame him." She joked. Well, it was true, but joking about yourself was a way to show you didn't care what they said, right?

Turning back to Ashe, Night wondered what to say. That was another problem of hers. She wanted to meet people so badly, and when she did she had nothing to talk about. Maybe that was why she had no friends. She seemed so bland and boring at first that no one wanted to get to know her good side.

"So, do you do creatures from the labs, too, or just here?" She asked. She herself was much more into the labs, but not everyone was as strange as her.

Agito really wanted to meet the kraden, but they wern't talking to him and he couldnt apparently talk to them. So, he swam to the side and got out of the pool, if only for a moment. Then he proceeded to shake his wet self off.....all over Night.

The water was cold. Night jumped back up and scolded the verai, hoping that he hadn't soaked Ashe too. That was sure to be a great first impression, huh?

[Ashe]

Ashe smiled. He wasn't sure if she was kidding or not, since it sounded like a girly name to him, but it was something that people would remember for a long time at least. "Only yesterday? Well that would explain it!" Having only gotten a pet yesterday, of course it wouldn't like anyone yet. If it had been raised from an egg, that would be different of course. But just getting it the day before would be rough. "Poor little guy... You just need to spend some more time with him."

The labs...this girl must be there too! He smiled over at her, flashing a bit of fang. "I practically live over there! I assume you do the labs too? Come to think of it, she didn't seem to be new around here. Just new around the Verai. "Do you have any other creatures like him?" Ashe asked, nodding to the Verai. He meant DWF creatures in general, of course. He knew he had a whole Keep full of them.

"AH!" Ashe cried out, startled by the Verai's violent shaking. He put his hands up to shield himself, but there was only so much you could do...

The Kraden were getting bored with the pond-bottom life. They floated around, occasionally adding spurts of speed for their own amusement. They raced each other around a rock, and then to the other side, but it was so...boring. And yet they were content with not doing too much yet. But that Verai that had visted them made them restless.

[Night]

"I'm so sorry!!" Night began, hoping the water hadn't offended the nice man. "He's....mischevious." She said. She glared at Agito, who quickly retreated back into the water, snickering the whole way. She shot him a nasty look, then turned back to Ashe.

"The Labs? Their my life. I barely have any creatures from anywhere else, here especially." She answered his question. "My cave vulticus, Arc, he's my best friend. Or as much of one as an animal can be, anyways. Thats still pretty close. We've even gotten to the point where we can mind talk. Of course, a vulticus' veiw on life is very....interesting." She laughed.

"Creatures like Agito? Nope. He's the only one, really. I may have a few others, but not many. Maybe five, and it sure is a pain to keep them away from my kennels for the labs." She laughed. What an understatement!

She was starting to get a little more comfortable around this person. Her shoulders were loser, her tail uncurled from around her legs. It wagged a few times as she spoke, but mostly stayed still. Her ears pricked forward, so she could both hear everything Ashe said and could listen to hear when her companion slipped from the water once more. That way maybe next time they wouldn't get soaked.

Agito dove once more, mostly to stay out of sight of the humans. Night seemed mad at him. He spotted the kraden and thought once more about trying to speak with them, but decided against it. Instead, he settled on the floor of the pond and sat rock still. Maybe they would come over and he could have a little fun.....

He was already planning his prank.

[Ashe]

"It's alright, I don't mind." He smiles. Things like this happened a lot, pets doing these sorts of things. He could handle them, and with a grin as well. He wiped the water from his face, and tried to restrict the dripping from his hair. "He's just a cute wittle babeh, eh?" He smirks at the Verai.

"Mind talk? As in, like a Ribbon of Telepathy?" Ashe asked, intrigued. He had a Cave Vulticus, too, but it was his Tainted Equillion creature that was his choice companion. "I have a Tainted Equillion. Dracula's my best buddy over there, even if he is quite bossy..." And Ashe wouldn't allow anyone but Dracula to boss him around, of course.

"Aww... I think you should get more. I have a whole bunch over at my place. Maybe sometime you should come over, and see what you're missing by limiting yourself!" Not to mention half didn't get the attention they deserved, as Ashe didn't have THAT much time on his hands...

Jelly saw the Verai first. He blinked his huge eyes and swam over toward him, before Ziggy stopped him. The latter snapped its beak at him, and twisted his tentacles. It was dangerous! Don't go! But Jelly wasn't going to have any of that, and he inched forward, past Zigbar. HE wanted to see what that Verai was up to...

[Night]

Night smiled when she saw Ashe smirk at the creature. Agito, of course, didnt see. He had already disapeared under water, probably to do something stupid.

"No. Mind talk as in.....I dont know, one day, we were out training and all of the sudden there was this....silence, and I could hear Arc concentrating on what was doing. And then you hear him go, 'So, I wonder when this crap is over.'" Night chuckled at the memory. "Ever since then, we've always kinda had it. I dont know how it happened.

A tainted? I've never had an equillion. What are they like?" She asked. She really should get out more!!

"Get more DWF pets? I might. I dont really know whats out there, so I'm kind of holding back till I find something that....I dont know. Suits me I guess." She laughed at that. Nothing really suited her. Eccept Arc, that is,And thats cause she'd always had him.

Agito sat still. Just a little longer.....a little closer.... He thought to himself.

[Ashe]

"Arc has telepathy?" Ashe gaped. That would be such an awesome ability to have! No need for ribbons or anything! And they could do it whenever, even if the ribbons fell off... Man. That would be so cool.

"Yep. He's my boy... We've been together since we were much younger... I don't know about others, but he's bossy and demanding, and gets violent if he doesn't get what he wants... But he's also extremely loyal and keeps things in order when I'm gone." But then he realized that her question might have been for all Equillion... Just in case, he added, "Well, that's a Tainted for ya..."

Ashe leaned back, bracing himself up on his elbows, getting comfy. The grass was nice and soft here, and the breeze cool from the water. "You know, Reppequi are sort of like Equillion... You have any of those?" He asked, glancing at her. This seemed like a good conversation. It looked like she was loosening up a bit, which was great!

Jelly got closer and closer, and then was hovering right around the Verai. Zig couldn't look, so he turned away. He felt it in the water, that something was going to happen... Something big. And he didn't really want to be a part of it. He swam away, closer to the surface, peeping out at the two humanoids chatting. Hey! He recognized one of them!

[Night]

And.....now! Agito moved quickly, making a sudden movement and jumping towards the kraden. He probably startled it out of its skin!! He snickered and watched the littl ecreatures reaction.

Night nodded. "Yeah. It can come in handy, but sometimes...." she shook her head. "Sometimes Ide rather he didn't have it. Like when he thinks about Isis, for example. She's his mate, by the way. But its really weird, the way they see it. Its like claiming ownership." She shook her head.

"So, how many equillion do you have? I dont know if I'de want one or not, then. They sound...tempermental." She smiled.

Watching him lean back, it just seemed so...normal. Maybe she wasn't so different from everyone else, after all! She sure felt like it though. Felt like she just didn't fit it. Couldn't fit in.

"Reppequi? Yeah, I think I might have one or two. Never really messed with them though. Their like him; got them yesterday. All of my DWF creatures I've gotten in the last two or three days from a trade auction." She said. Maybe she should look into equillions, too......
