One of the most awesome features of this site, is the ability to breed pets. Now, each site has it's own "way" of breeding, but for now - this tutorial will cover MML's portion of "how to breed".

First, let's look at the different ways you can breed your pet.

Money.
Oh yes, you can pay real-life money (often times, only $10 per breeding pair) to produce at least two offspring. Where do you go about to purchase said breeding? Well, you might want to read all the details on the shop page.
Luckily, there's no roleplaying involved in a "money" breeding - as it's done 100% in the laboratories... On rare occassions though, players may decide to roleplay the breeding of their (opposite gender) pets anyway, just for fun.

An Alternative - Serum.
If you don't have money to spend, but your a major roleplayer here on the site, you could perhaps get ahold of a "serum of procraetion".. rumors have it that they restock in the traveler's emporium for a good fistful of credits.
If you decide to use a serum breeding however, this is -not- done in the labs, and as such - the creatures breeding must be of opposite genders, and it usually takes a little longer for them to.. you know.. have babies.

When you decide to use a serum with a partner, you are required to make at least 25 posts in the Breeding Center, and so is your partner.. so, that's 50 posts in total between the two of you! When you've finished making those posts - one of you has to contact "Spirit", and show off both the parents breeding, and the thread in which they were bred.. if they were approved - you can expect babies within' the week!

How neat is that?

Another Alternative - Wild
Sometimes, in the wilderness - babies happen..
We're not always sure how they happen, but they do...
Sometimes, creatures of the same species, and opposite genders "get together" when their players are out in the wilderness... So, it might be prudent that if.. you take your vulticus, your adventuring partner takes an opposite gender vulticus.. you never know what's going to happen out there!

Another thing - is you might want to keep track of your pets.. Did your (female) lerrel wander off into the night? If she survived to come back to you, she might just be carrying a cute little litter! You never know what'll happen in the wild - so be prepared!

You cannot however, go expecting a litter to magically happen in the wild - you just have to get lucky.

Crossbreeding
Sometimes, through -much- help of the laboratory, a crossbreeding can happen... those are much more expensive - but are not limited in anyway by species, breed, or gender.. after all, you're just taking the genetics of the two parents - and trusting the labs to mix them together... Crossbreedings however, can only be purchased from the shop, and are 3x more expensive than a regular breeding.

DWF Breeding
I know DWF creatures can breed similar to a paid breeding of MML creatures.

Draconic Breeding
All draconics can breed for free in the Canyon of Eterra! But, you'll want to read the tutorial on Breeding Draconics to get started on that...

What Happens to the Babies?!?
With ANY breeding hosted on these forums - the babies will always arrive safe and sound in the Offspring Forum, located in the player resource center. Each breeding gets it's own thread - where all players can comment on how cute (or ugly) the babies look. If you're actually getting babies though - you might want to read the Rules for that small section.
