Opinion on Siege

A simple enough question, although the context of it has changed: Previously, the idea was to do the Siege during the War, whenever it broke out, but between the new Beta changing some statistical elements and things being a bit.. well, dead, at the moment, it was my realization that perhaps it might even be better to do it now as a non-canon thing.

It would require me to rather quickly figure out a combat system for it that's likely going to be a bit different from the official system, as well as think up enemy wave compositions, but nothing all too difficult.


Basically, the intent would be to do it while its still unbroken, with current characters, as a misc-ish thing, and perhaps give people something new to do to tide over until there's an update on Beta or the site in general.

(And yes, there can be prizes)

But that would only work if there's interest.. x3 So, any takers or any previous sign-ups still interested?

In terms of icons, it will depend on how busy I'll find myself as, but one idea so far is to instead draw up a 'miniature' of the person's character. Time will tell if it'll be worth the trouble or not x3

About half of the combat system already has a base to work from, just need to figure out what elements to keep and what to leave out (i.e stop myself from making it too complicated while still versatile).

Oh, and preview of the map (need to update it, it's roughly two years old). Story elements might be added once I figured out the alternate plot to the attacking force.


EDIT: Combat system will include magic and the opportunity to cast spells. Since we're going non-canon and into Misc, its possible to allow magic use even without the nodes.

*headtilt* I initially posted "Don't care either way", but the more I read and the more I think about it, the more I realize that this would be a fun thing to do and would like to change my vote to a 'yes'.

I'm kinda really excited for this and I can't wait to see more about it.

Technically it should be do-able with six people and up, thus so far so good :3

I don't particularly care either way, but I'd (well, the Robot at least) probably participate if it happened.
