Mirror was crestfallen. There was no way she could have that honey comb, even if she -could- fly. There were no bees in it, only the sweet delishious honey ahd been left behind. It sparkled golden... like her scales... She looked by her side as somthing orange flashed by, she watched her older brother fly up there to get it. Now he would have it, she would have no tasty honey.

Surely he was mocking her for winning...

Mintek's wings carried him up to the branch, and he dropped hismelf on the branch, claws gripping the branch, letting sap fall. He looked up and reddied himself- POUNCE! He hopped skillfully to a higher branch, then to the next. Mirror watched him. He was far more experienced... More fit for this.

RunningAir woke when a stick fell and hit his head. Oww, why did he never get any sleep! His eyes watered for a moment in pain but he wiped them away and looked up, suspecting some little demon to be tossing things in a dream. Instead he watched Mintek climbing higher and higher into the mulberry tree.

Mintek hopped again, and did a double hop, using hsi wings to keep him aloft for more than a normal -anything- should have. Finnaly, he reached the wonderous sparkling comb, and he used his claws to slice the honeycomb for the tree. His scales glittered once more, as he held on to the honey comb with a single paw. He the glided down, his wings outstreached, then folding as he landed with the golden comb.

Mirror stared at it with wistfull eyes. He was posting hsi trophy, the one she'd wanted. The one, golden and sweet, posting his victory. She turned away. Mintek put it down, making sure nto to leak any of the sweet liqued, and nosed it towards her. Mirror watched him out of the corner of her sparkling blue eyes. What was he doing? She looked back towards him. He was offering it to her, what did she do to deserve the prize?

She looked at her brother with a certain respect and nudged it to RunningAir. Giving a silent whisper, "Divide the shiney?" Mintek smiled hsi toothy grin. "She wants you to sp-split it... R'air." RunningAir smiled. How nice, his freind was -actually- being nice to his sister. Sure, will do." and he spilt the comb into the parts, handing an equal to each, and one for hismelf.

The three freind soon began to eat their honeycomb, the sweetness lifting their spirits high, joy ringing about in each's ears. (or earhole anyway. XD) The sky began to be light again, casting abit of shadow behind them, but still fairly dark. The stars were still visable, and the dew was on each and every leaf. all of the blades of grass danced in delight, and the water was as calm as canned be. (and Canned-be Is caa-aalm!)

Mirror savored her little peice, smiling when she lapped the last bit of sugury, syrupy honey with her tongue. She then watched Mintek eat his, very slowly, as if it would be his last meal ever. RunningAir finished his off and chewed the wax to get the rest into his mouth. Mirror noticed how sticky she'd became and went to go wash off.

Mintek finished soon after, saving the wax for later chewing and going to wash himself by the pond too, in the clean-clear water. He smiled as he approached his sister. They washed their paws by sticking them in the water and getting the sticky off with their tongue/s. It wasn't hard for them really.

RunningAir looked down at his own paws after a moment, his fur matted with the sticky substance. So he got up hismelf, walking over to the pond himself, stooping down beside his buddies. He scrubbed at his hands, unmatting hsi fur, and watching Mirror and Mintek wash their own paws and muzzles. Mirror tumbled into the water and coughed a bit when she sat up, the water was shallow.

RunningAir got done chewing the wax and spit it out, then got up and walked back to the tree, the two draconics, both soaked, in tow. Mintek picked up his honeycomb and began to chew it happily, tasting the familiar sweetness. Mirror watched Mintek for a minute, and immitated him, picking ehrs up carfully and chewing it, but not swallowling.

Not bad... Not bad at all.

Mirror kept on chewing the wax until it lost it's flavor, and she spit it out. Yuck, wax doesn't taste good when it's been chewed too long. She gave herself a type of a mental note to remember that. She wouldn't make that mistake again. She looked over at Mintek who was still chewing even though his ahd to have lost the sweetness.

Mintek liked the wax, even though it's delishiousness had up-an-gone. He liked to keep his teethed jaws busy, for the sake of boredness. RunningAir began to observe the horizon, watching the light get closer and closer and closer. Soon, Mirror and Mintek averted their attentions there too.

The sun had slowly began to come up, banishing most of the stars from it's part of the sky. It's great splendor seemed to gobble up the tiny lights that shown from thousands, maybe even millions of miles away. This would boggle anyone's mind.

Mirror looked down at her paws, glowing almost like the sun, glinting off of her smooth scales, shining on her wings, and, although she couldn't see it, her eyes. She looked over towards her 'brother' and saw that his scales glowed a vibrant orange, and his eyes looked like hers, glowing. They both turned to RunningAir, hiding in the shade of the tree from the sudden light from the side of the earth. It gave off a warm and inviting glow, but he was still used to the dark.

Mintek slowly stretched his muscles and thumped his tail hding his eyes from the brightness. He didn't like all this sudden light. Worst of all, Mirror's scales shone into hsi eys. But he knew thta she didn't mean to blind him, so he wasn't mad. He stretched out and laid down, feeling the warmth. That was the only good thing about it, according to him.

RunningAir hid himself from the sunlight, he knew it was blinding, and it would only warm up the area to almost unlivable temperatures.

Unless- was that a cloud?

RunningAir got up, stretching tiredly. They'd been out all night, and he wanted to go home, but he knew he wouldn't be able to get them to leave just yet, and he wanted a bit more Mulberries first. So he pointed up to the tree and said, "Want more?" Mintek nodded, hungrily staring at the ripe pureple beauties. Mirror somehow interpretted his handsign and looked hapily, her wings outstretched.

RunningAir climbed up into the tree again, and began plucking once more, dropping the mulberries into a pile beneath him. This time, Mirror mad eno desparate grab for them. She waited happily until RunningAir got down, with a whole shirtful of the bounty. Mintek looked proud of his sister for this. He sat them down, and split them. They ate slowly.

RuningAir's paws weres tained black with the juice, and every berry he devoured was more an more delicious. Mintek seemed to be enjoying his too, and Mirror had hers gobbled up before she even knew it. Her maw was stained purple as canned-be. (and canned-be is puurr-rrpleee! xD Yay for repeated jokes)

Mirror went to wash herself again, knowing it would be hard to get all that purple off of her. Mintek was laughing his head off, being careful not to get any of the ruining juice on his briliant orange scales. He ate gingerly, waiting for RunningAir to finish before he did, to prove his point. RunningAir finished and looked at his hands, blushing. All purple-stained. After he'd jsut cleaned them! He followed Mirror to the water to wash.

Mintek laughed at him too, with that roaring-laughter charactoristic of some draconics. Then he finished his off and walked over to watch them attempt to get the stain off.

Mirror stuck her muzzle to the nice clean watter and began to lick at it, looking up a bit to check and see if her muzzle was clean yet. RunningAir kneeled down beside her, washing his paws again, face looking at hsi hands diligently under the water. Mirror looked up, staring into Runningair's face. He was sure different then the draconics she'd seen. Different then -anything- she'd seen before. He was like her, in a way. She shook her head and began to clean her muzzle again.

Mirror couldn't help but to stare at him again. What made him so different? His eyes, the shape of him, his wiry tail? Colors? No, they way he acted. She looked back to her muzzle again, noticing it was clean. Mintek watched them, laughing harder still. They were so funny! Running to wash like that!

RunningAir finnally got his hands clean and looked up, watching Mirror and Mintek both. "Guys, in a minute we have to go!" He would start the journey hoem sureley in a minute.

--Shaabam! Leveling Done!--



RunningAir got up, and smiled, his teeth showing, glinting in the pure sunlight. It was already getting warm. He sat back down and got another drink for the road, Mintek and Mirror did so also. Then, he got back to his feet and said, "Well, let's go!" He started wading the water, Mirror in his arms, and Mintek flying calmly over waters. The wind was already blowing up a sandstorm, but the dark cloud that loamed overhead looked threating.

Just as the three freinds made it out of the water, the rain began to fall, replinishing the grounds with it's nutrients. Runningair felt the cool wetness on his fur and rejoiced. Mintek wasn't opposed to this, and neither was Mirror, for they both knew that this was greatly needed.

The rain wetted down the sands and overcame them, the grass was already smelling a bit sweeter. The three freinds trudged on happily, glad to be getting back home.
