Nanashi x Zarkun (Kadin and Kaokim)

This room can look however you wish it to look, within reason. Only the two whose names appear here may post within this thread. 25 posts by the 25th, or else the breeding is void.

The minimum word requirement is 150, however I ask that you put more effort into your posts. This is a FREE re-coloring, and well worth it.

This would be the second time he had been here and, for the second time, he was coming to hang out with a guy he didn't really know while they waited for their draconic to decide to screw each other. It wasn't the most romantic way to look at it, but Kadin had never really been one to romanticize things. Not when his way of looking at is was more or less the truth. After all, these draconics didn't even really know each other. They were meeting because their humans decided they should and they were fucking because they figure it'll help keep the race going. Nobody had to really be in love with the idea, it's just what worked for them.

He'd be damned if he didn't put some effort to this opportunity that was presented right to him. During his short(ish) stay in the labs and canyons, he'd heard about soul-bonding and what a big deal everyone made out of it. So, he figured, if he was going to be taking advantage of these awesome, powerful, dragons that were here for anyone who wanted to spend time with them, why not take full advantage of it? He was going to find himself a bonded. The only problem was, he hadn't found it just yet. Not in Brynka or Nanashi. So... he'd just have to try again.

So here he was, again, but he wasn't with Brynka this time. He didn't want to ask her to do this again for him, mostly because he knew she'd accept without even knowing why she maybe shouldn't. Plus, Nanashi didn't seem really opposed to the idea, despite how she was still a rather young adult. Not that her age really showed, she was a HUGE young adult, especially compared to her mother or, well. Their caves. Someone would have to do something about that and it wouldn't be Kadin.

"This?" The rather large female draconic rumbled out. Kadin had a little bit of trouble making out what she was actually saying, but he guesstimated and figured he must be kinda right, seeing as how she nodded knowingly to his answer, which was...

"Yeah. We'll meet them inside here, but I think we might be first." The boy pushed open the large, very large doors and looked around the inside of a large (also very large) circular room. It was decorated with rocks of various shades of grey and various speckle-like patterns. They looked pretty rock-like and uninteresting, from a human point of view. And yet, Kadin, suffer that he was, kindly offered, "Guess I'll stay here until they show up. You can look around if you want."

This was sure to be... interesting.

Kaokim had arranged a date for poor, lonely Zarkun. The Harain never got out of the cavern, and didn't get to spend much time with anyone but his family. Even they mostly ignored him as they went about their own lives. He really needed something, even if it was just a little date with a girl he didn't know. Kaokim had not met Nanashi yet, but he figured that any girl was better than no girl. The original intent was merely to get Zarkun to meet with someone that didn't live with him, but the idea of a date seemed appealing enough. Females were not always the easiest to get along with, but the premise of a blind date was not uncommon. The idea of a 'play date' with another male, however, seemed rather peculiar at this age.

Though it seemed a little strange to accompany someone on a date, Zarkun requested that Kaokim go along with him. It made him more comfortable to know that someone he knew would be there, and that he would not be entirely alone. Kaokim agreed, figuring that if his attention wasn't needed, he could occupy himself easily enough. Though Zarkun was a fully grown Draconic by now, he still had a lot of learning to do about the world. When it came down to it, Kaokim was glad that he had decided to come along. With as naive as Zarkun was, Kaokim often found himself being a bit more protective than he perhaps should be of a sentient adult.

They walked quickly through the canyons, making their way to the area agreed upon previously. Zarkun's head hung a little bit, his nervousness showing in his pose. Kaokim had done his best to reassure him that everything would be okay, but there was only so much he could do. He was sure that the Draconic would get over it soon enough. Once he got there, and the newness of the situation wore off, he would be just fine.

They were not particularly late, but they did arrive after Nanashi and Kadin had already gotten there. Zarkun sighed as they approached the doors, and poked Kaokim in the back with his nose. Kaokim gave him a reassuring head rub before pushing the doors open and stepping inside. Zarkun froze for a moment, but quickly skittered inside. He stood adamantly behind Kaokim, in a way seeming like he was trying to hide behind him. It was nearly comical to see him standing so timidly behind someone so tiny in comparison.

Kaokim waved to Kadin, and bowed his head in Nanashi's direction. In their initial meeting, Kadin and he had already exchanged their names, but he did not remember giving Zarkun's. "Say hello, Zarkun," Kaokim encouraged.

"Hello, Zarkun," he repeated. Only after he said it did he realize that he probably should not have repeated his own name. Oh, what a wonderful start...

Kadin and Nanashi sort of just lounged around while they waited for their companions to arrive. The boy had been lucky enough to find a flatish rock that wasn't too huge for him to climb onto and he was quite content sitting there, for now. Sure, his ass would start to hurt after a while, but it wasn't so bad while he was just waiting for Nana's new 'friend' to show.

The draconic, on the other hand, was quite enjoying herself. She'd found a small circular section of the larger cavern where the ground was slightly softer than the surrounding hard rock. Nanashi was going to town digging there, now, and by the time Kaokim and Zarkun arrived she's already scraped out a long, shallow indent that looked suspiciously the right side for her to curl up and take a nap. Guess it was a good thing they showed up when they did, otherwise this whole meeting might have ended before it even started.

Both the boy and the draconic perked up when the door opened. They watched as another male human entered, followed by a draconic that looked kinda... shy. Damn. Kadin glanced over to Nanashi, maybe intending to call her back over, but he would have been wasting his breath. The rather large female draconic happily bounded over, if you can imagine a size five draconic bounding, and stopped heavily not far from the two strangers.

Kadin watched Nanashi a bit warily for a moment, before offering his own greetings to the two. "Hey. This is-"

"Funny!" The female declared in rather rough common. Her speech was highly accented, if you want to call it that, and it was already apparent that she probably couldn't do much better than one-worded sentences. But nevermind that, Nanashi had gotten it in her head that it would be the best idea ever to sneak around the guy standing in front of the draconic to poke her nose at the actual draconic back there. Whom, I might add, she found to be 'funny', for reasons only known to herself.

"Er. Nanashi, play nice." Kadin reminded her, a bit worried that she was going to try for some rough-and-tumble play with this poor boy that she was supposed to be getting along to. The boy frowned, though, when Nanashi rolled her eyes at him and then directed her attention back to the stranger.

"You speak draconic? I better at that." For some reason, it was just easier for her to speak a language that her mom spoke to her since she was in an egg than to speak that weird-tounge thing that Kadin was always talking.

Zarkun's eyes were stuck wide open as he looked at Nanashi. This was the biggest Draconic he had ever seen. This was supposed to be his date? What in the world could he have in common with someone so... strange? Not only was she huge, but he had also never seen a Draconic of that shape or color in his life. Zarkun was not particularly bothered by Draconics of all shapes and sizes, but he was a little bit uncomfortable around them at times. There were so many vastly different members of his species, and though they shared a similarity at their deepest parts, they were all so very... strange. As someone who lived his whole life rather sheltered, and by choice no less, he found the incredible difference between himself and Nanashi immediately disquieting.

"Funny?" he mimicked. What was so funny about him? Did he have something on his horn? Zarkun pulled his feathers and limbs closer to himself, making him look even smaller compared to her. When she came closer, he jumped up a little bit, throwing his wings up and almost hitting Kaokim with one. Kaokim ducked quickly and took a few steps away to avoid such a thing happening again.

As he watched the two of them interact, he found himself rather amused with the situation already. Zarkun could really benefit from someone like her, if he could only survive the whole thing without passing out. Kaokim was not sure what he thought Nanashi would be like, but he was already finding himself fond of her in a way. Perhaps she could show Zarkun something about the world. That's what he really needed. Bringing him to a date with someone just as sheltered and skittish as he would not have been nearly as much fun.

"Uh... what?" Zarkun said in surprisingly good Common when Nanashi spoke in Draconic. Despite being a Draconic himself, he hadn't heard much of the language. The Draconic and person who raised him did not speak much, if any, Draconic either. The only time he had even heard the language was when he was very young and in the care of Acethylka. Wait! That did sound kind of familiar. He did his best to remember the few words he had picked up as a hatchling. It was so long ago, but he rarely forgot anything he had ever been taught.

"I talk no good gronic long ago been." Zarkun said slowly. When he finished, a sheepish smile crossed his face, and he looked to her hopefully. Had he gotten it right? Or, at the very least, was he understandable?

Gosh, he was small! Nanashi could tell right away, especially from close up, that he was much smaller than even her mom! When Kadin had told her that she was going to meet a boy today, she'd half expected to meet someone as big as her or, at least, as big as her mom, but this guy wasn't either of those! How weird. He also had wings like she'd never seen before and smooth, smooth scales. Really, he sort of looked more like a female than she did. Not that there was really anything wrong with that, but...

Oh, he was talking again! He really sounded like he was better at common than she was. He hadn't really said all that many words, but the words he did say were a lot easier to understand, they were more like Kadin talked than like how she talked. Maybe he was smarter than her, too, that would sure make up for his small size, but for now she didn't really have much time to think about all that complicated stuff and, instead, she needed to focus on understanding the words he was saying. The common wasn't that hard, it seemed as if he didn't really understand what she was saying or something, but the draconic was a bit harder to decipher. Wow, but he could speak that well even though it had been a 'long ago'? A long time ago?

The galathan shrugged it off as if it were no big deal. All of this thinking that she had to do in order to understand what he was saying was starting to annoy her, to be honest. Talking had never really been her strong suit, with common or draconic, much to her mother's dismay. But there were ways to get around that. Talking out loud wasn't all that mattered when you made a friend, right? "Talking hard. Wanna play?"

By the time it became obvious that Nanashi had her full attention on her new friend, Kadin had decided that it was about time he distance himself from the draconic. If he guessed right, she was probably going to ask him to play soon, and it wasn't a good idea to stand around while two creatures that were so much bigger than him started to move around the room to play. Kadin knew all too well from watching Nanashi with her mother, he didn't want to be nearby when she started hopping around and getting all excited.

But this other guy over here, Kaokim, he thought it was, didn't really look like he had any intentions of leaving soon. Maybe he planned on staying around and watching their playdate for a while, but whatever he was up to, Kadin decided it wasn't his problem. He'd just lean against the door and watch, for now, just in case Nanashi managed to scare the poor other draconic off soon. If they seemed to get along, then he could make himself scarce.

Zarkun was absolutely not sure what to think of Nanashi. If his eyes managed to open any wider, they would pop right out of his skull! In all of what he had and hadn't expected about this odd little 'date' that Kaokim had insisted upon, there was no way he could have been prepared for this. What was he supposed to say? What was he supposed to do? Granted, he would probably be equally confused if Nanashi was his size, and looked just like him. It wasn't necessarily their differences that baffled him. Though, it wasn't exactly helping, either.

Words were very important to Zarkun. Written words, spoken words, all kinds of words. They were the cornerstone of communication, the building blocks of civilization itself. Without words, the world as he knew it would be a very hollow place. Words came easily to him; he knew words nearly as soon as he had hatched. To think that Nanashi was not good with words absolutely flabbergasted him. How does one live without words? If only he understood that there communication was so much deeper than words. On some level, he was able to understand that, but his smarts were getting in the way of his instincts as they often did. In many ways, a creature was blessed without words, rather than with them. Perhaps Nanashi shall be able to teach him that.

"Play?" It seemed as though Zarkun had a habit of repeating things people were saying. Not that he really did it on purpose, so much as he was rather flustered and unsure of what else to do. "Play... what?" Oh, there he goes with all of his talking again. She had already expressed her dislike of talking, though it was doubtful that he would ever actually stop doing it. This experience was particularly unique to him, as he was often the one doing all of the not-talking in any given situation. Mostly, he just watched others talk. Well, when he actually got out and spent any time with them, that is.

Kaokim, deciding that the two of them didn't likely need his help any more, walked past the door in silence, nodding once to Kadin respectfully. When outside, he traveled a few feet from the entrance and sat down with his legs crossed. With hands folded in his lap, he sat there silently, looking at nothing in particular. Here he would stay until it was decided that he needed to move for any particular reason.

A part of him worried for Zarkun, so he stayed partially to remain supportive and be there if he decided he wanted to go home early. Beyond that, he was decently sure that Zarkun couldn't find his own way home if left unattended. The boy had a terrible sense of direction, probably related to all of the time he spent not leaving his own cavern. Though he was clever and would probably be fine, Kaokim wanted to be there to escort him home just to be sure.

Man, this guy was still being weird! He seemed to think that it was weird that she wasn't all that into talking, but she didn't see how that was all that weird except that... Well, she wouldn't be as good as reflecting on how weird it was. And now he was acting like it was weird for her to be asking if he wanted to play when talking a whole bunch obviously wasn't an option! This was all very silly. She didn't particularly mind this being a silly playdate, but she would very much like for it to be the happy sort of silly and now the awkward sort.

"Dunno." Nanashi said, tilting her head curiously at him. She hadn't really had a particular game in mind when she had proposed 'playing'. Heck, it wouldn't have been all that surprising if she had just figured that some sort of game would just randomly appear in front of them. But if he didn't really know all that many games to play, then she could easily try and come up with something, she was always coming up with games to play with her mom. Hmm... there were a few simple games that she could think of, anyway.

The large Galathan hopped around on her feet for a moment. All of a sudden, she took a quick step forward, reaching out with her neck and gently nudging the other draconic's side. With a big, triumphant grin, Nanashi then retreated. She turned and ran bouncing a few feet away before turning and looking back at him, tilting her head once again as she informed him what the name of this particular game was. "Tag!"

When the size five draconic started running around the room like a giant puppy, Kadin figured that it was about time to clear out of the room lest he accidentally get in the way. It was one thing to have a greyhound act like an oversize puppy and an entirely different thing for a creature the size of a small home acting like an oversized puppy. So Kadin stood from his rock, dusted off his jeans, and left the room with some parting words thrown over his shoulder on his way out. "Don't break anything, Nanashi."

Once the boy was outside the room, he went ahead and closed the door. It took a moment, but Kadin eventually noticed the guy, Kaokim, sitting down on the floor, too. He'd half figured that he would be taking a walk or something, but nope, he was just going to sit on the floor outside of the door. Okay then.

"I'm gonna go for a walk." Kadin went ahead and said, even though he didn't owe it to this guy at all to let him know where he'd going, not unless he got back late and Nanashi was left in the room alone or something. Even then, Nanashi would be able to find her way home, eventually. She was pretty self reliant like that. But now that Kadin had said goodbye to both his draconic friend and this strange guy sitting in the hall, the boy went ahead and started walking to the right of the door, just because he could.

Zarkun was afraid that he was making an absolutely terrible impression on this new girl. What a way to make friends, Zarkun. Stand around like a moron and repeat everything they say. That's the way to win a girl's heart for sure! The small male sighed slightly, probably completely unnoticed by Nanashi. Why could he have just stayed home like he always did? Then he could be reading a book or taking a nap or something that wasn't looking like a moron in front of his new female friend, if you could yet call her that.

Playing games was not something Zarkun had done a whole lot of, particularly as an adult. Even as a hatchling, he didn't do a lot of chasing his peers around, or any of that typical stuff. When he was young, he was the only hatchling at his home for quite a while. Long enough that he learned to play with himself. All of his time was spent discovering things, if through reading, taking things apart, or just studying a bug all day. Social interaction had never been his strong suit, for he was never exposed to a lot of it. Now, here was to hoping that it wasn't too late...

Tag! Wait... did he know tag? Oh! Tag was that chasing game, right? Oh, he was good at that with the young ones, mostly because he was a decent flier. If there was one thing he would always leave the safety of his home for, it was flying. It would probably be a little difficult to get flying good in here, though. Even with a room this size, flying indoors was always risky and troublesome. Still, it was an awfully big room; it had to be, to fit Nanashi. Zarkun thought that he would probably have to fly just to reach her head if he wanted to touch it. Not that he could think of a reason that that would be a particularly good idea.

Perhaps a little late, Zarkun bounded forward, running daintily on his paws. He even walked kind of like a girl, with more of a prance than a gallop. It was probably rather funny to anyone watching. The poor boy didn't intend to be so effeminate; it just sort of came naturally to him. Perhaps it had something to do with his form, or more likely his lack of interaction with Draconic males. Either way, he was hardly coming off as the powerful male that Nanashi would no doubt desire for a potential father of her children. Though, one never knows for sure what's going on in the head of a female.

"I got you! ... I mean, TAG!" Zarkun said, tapping Nanashi with an outstretched paw, then tripping over himself on account of having forgotten he was running at the time.

Kaokim nodded to Kadin as he left, acknowledging him but not saying anything. The man was perfectly comfortable just sitting here calmly. If he could find his center, this may be a prime opportunity to meditate. If not, then at least he could sit and relax for a while before having to get up and go back to the list of duties being a creature trainer came with.

Haha! Nanashi was a pro at this game, it was in her blood. She had been playing it with her mother all of her hatchling life and, as she had gotten bigger and faster, it had become harder and harder for Brynka to catch her daughter without resorting to a sneaky trick or something. Now, in this nice big room with only rock to break (after the squishy humans had left), Nanashi was sure, absolutely positive, that she could run around forever without this boy ever coming close... to... Oh, damn it!

"Arg! Too fast!" The large galathan complained loudly, but with a lopsided smiled on her face to take the bite out of the words. She wasn't really angry at Zarkun for catching her so much as she was angry with herself for being caught. It should have been a simple matter to evade the other draconic, but she'd let herself get distracted. Well... that wouldn't happen again!

And it looked as if she wouldn't have to wait all that long for her revenge. Just after tagging her, the silly male decided to go and trip over his own feet! How silly! It was almost like he was letting her win quickly, but there was no way he was actually doing that because it would be even more silly and she could hardly comprehend anyone being that silly. Silly.

Nanashi turned and trotted towards the male, tapping his side with her tail as she walked past him, and said, "Tag, silly!" With that, she was off! bounding across the room again, because that never went wrong for anyone before. And THIS time she was ready! He wouldn't catch her so easily ever ever again, even if he was probably actually kind of faster than her when he was flying and she was running. But Nanashi conveniently forgot to think about that just now.

Zakrun was small and nimble, which played to his advantage at a game like this. Though, he also had a habit of being rather clumsy, which worked pretty well against him. Combined, it was hard to say whether or not he actually was good at this game. Still, he was trying his best, doing everything he could to make up for what a bumbling fool he was looking out to be so far. Of course, tripping and hitting the ground with his face was absolutely the last thing he could have done to make himself look like less of an idiot.

The small male clambered to his feet, head spinning for a moment. Once the situation came together, and he realized what happened, he blushed a little. Then he felt it. The ominous drip of blood that ran down his chin. A brief moment of panic shot through him as he looked himself over, making sure that all of his parts were still attached. Okay! Everything was still there. Just a cut. Well, he assumed it was just a cut. Hard to see the bottom of one's own chin.

Zarkun took a deep breath in then a slow one out. With his outgoing breath was a lightly colored smoke that sparkled where the light hit it. This smoke smelled comforting and sweet, though by now Nanashi was probably too far away to notice. It curled around his face and down to his chin, closing the wound there and stopping the bleeding. This breath of his was capable of doing great things, but mostly for other people and Draconics. If he had expelled the full power of the breath, it may have easily consumed even Nanashi with her immense size, but it was hard to position himself well enough to heal anything more than a minor cut or scrape when it came to his own body.

Once he was done with that, Zarkun looked up to see that Nanashi had quite the lead on him. Oh! This was no good. How was he supposed to show her that he was good at this game and therefore not 'silly' if she was so far away? Zarkun shook his head, and beat his wings, pulling himself into the air. Then, he took off after Nanashi, though not as fast as he would have hoped. Without the natural wind at his back and lots of room to spread his wings, he was not gaining ground as quickly as he would have liked. Oh, bother.

It took a bit longer than it really should have for Nanashi to realize that she wasn't being chased like normal. The galathan first realized that she wasn't being chased when she noticed that the only footfalls she could hear were her own rather heavy ones and not the must lighter, fleeting footfalls she'd heard Zakrun make. Okay. She then confirmed what she had suspected by sparing a glance behind herself, through which she saw that, not only was he not chasing her, but he was sitting where he had stumbled and... Squirly clouds? ...Neat.

But! But she couldn't stop now! What if this was just a distraction?! What if he wasn't really stopped, what if he just wanted her to think he was stopped?! She couldn't go investigate what the heck he was doing because then he'd tag her and he'd WIN and she didn't want him to win. She wanted to win, she quite liked winning. Nevertheless, Nanashi did slow down her trot a little a bit, she was nearly to the other side of the room, and it wouldn't help either of them if she ran into a wall and knocked herself out. Well, maybe it would help him a little bit...

While she was so distracted thinking about complicated things that she normally didn't think about, Nanashi almost didn't notice that Zakrun had taken wing and now he was flying to her! Oh no! How did he get so far? That wasn't fair, she didn't have wings, but she hadn't told him the rules said that he can't use his wings so now he could use his wings otherwise she'd be a cheater! Oh no, he was going to catch her! With a quick "eep" noise, Nanashi tried to duck under the flying Zarkun to escape to the freedom that was the other side of the room.

Now, take a moment to appreciate this. A size five, fully grown female galathan had made a shrill 'eep' noise and tried to duck her enormous body to avoid a swift, nimble, smaller male (who looked more like a girl than she did and could heal things with his awesome magical breath, but that was besides the point). It's entirely up in the air which was more impressive, the fact that she was capable of making such a high-pitched noise, or how low she managed to get herself when she attempted to duck away from him.

Zarkun's face lit up when he thought that he was finally gaining an advantage. Looks like he wasn't that far off after all! Oh, good! Now, if he could catch her, and not fall on his face, then maybe she would stop thinking he was silly! Though, somehow he doubted it. No matter what he did, she would probably always think of him as 'silly', though the word does not always have to have a negative connotation. Perhaps he could win her over with his bumbling naivety in the long run. Well, at the very least, it was worth a shot!

Eep! The sound startled Zarkun, probably more than it should have. Did that really come out of Nanashi? Was she okay? What was going on? Wait, why...? In all of his sudden worrying accompanying that sound, Zarkun hadn't thought to stop flying, and on top of that he hadn't noticed that she had ducked down. This caused him to zoom right over her, the whole time looking down at her with a confused look thoroughly plastered on his face.

Once he discerned that she was more than likely fine, Zarkun returned his gaze forward to see where he was going. Oh, look at that. A wall. As quickly as he could, Zarkun turned his body, twisted his tail, and beat his wings as fast as he could to avoid impact with the wall of the cave, all the while with his face scrunched up with the thought of inevitable impact. Luckily, he managed not to hit the wall, stopping but inches from it. Phew!

Still breathing heavy from all the excitement, Zarkun dove down and did a flip in the air. He stopped upside-down right over Nanashi, where he smiled at her as if to say, 'See? All good!'. What he forgot is that it is rather difficult to fly while upside down, and he began to fall toward the ground once more. His limbs flapped around wildly as he tried to right himself, which he just barely managed to do before thumping to the ground just ahead of Nanashi. At least he landed on his paws and not his head this time!

"Um... tag?" he said, reaching out and touching noses with her, the kind smile still stretched across his face.

Wow! She trotted away nice and quickly, but when she glanced over her shoulder again she saw that he was fighting not to fly into a wall. Hehe! Nanashi would have never admitted that she had almost run into the wall herself, but she did feel a bit of sympathy for him. Then again, it was also really really funny to watch him almost run into a wall! Oh, but he was turning around! She had better get going if she wanted to keep away from his fast flying.

Nanashi focused back on running away again really quickly. She was a bit disappointed when he caught up with her again so quickly, but she couldn't help but giggle when he started to fall again. Goodness he was so silly! This guy was actually pretty cool. He was fast, clever, and he was fun to play with, but he was also adorably clumsy. I mean, really, who tried to fly upside down like that? Silly, silly boy.

Nanashi screeched to a halt when her playmate fell down right in front of her. Her front legs went out and her back legs crouched down, by the time she was stopped right in front of him she was just sort of. Sitting there. With no way to leap up again and avoid him when he moved forward to tag her! Darn it! He had caught her again!

The galathan sighed as she climbed to her feet, accepting this temporary defeat. "Good." After a moment, however, she couldn't help but smile and add. "Still still. Go, run!"

Nanashi was practically hopping up and down as she waited for Zarkun to start running, instead of just tagging him right away like she had done before. After all, it wouldn't be any fun if she just kept on tagging him right away without letting him run first! He was putting a whole lot of effort into trying to catch her, it was the least she could do to give HIM a chance to run this time. Hopefully he wasn't as good at running away as he was at tagging...

It could be concluded that he wasn't particularly good at this game (he did keep forgetting to run away, after all), more like he was just rather lucky at catching her. Despite his clumsiness, he had quite a bit of charm to his movements. Perhaps it was that silly clumsiness that made him charming. Whatever it was, it was working out pretty well for him. He had managed to catch her twice now, mostly by sheer dumb luck. It was a miracle he hadn't managed to injure himself; he was, after all, playing a very rambunctious game with a girl nearing twice his size.

Zarkun was still sitting there looking like a dope when Nanashi reminded him it was time to run. The change in his facial expressions alone was enough to make one laugh. It went from content, to surprise, to worried, to excited all at once, hardly stopping at one before switching to the next. After a moment of that, a wave of realization hit him. Oh! RUN! Zarkun scrambled about, feet skittering under him like a cat on linoleum, and eventually managed to get himself moving forward. A giggle, a bit more feminine than he would like, escaped his mouth as he tumbled past Nanashi to continue the chase.

Not in his wildest dreams would he have thought that this is how he would have spent his evening. Of course, he was finding it to be very enjoyable, just far from what he had expected. In his mind, a date, if you could even call this that, was... well, he wasn't sure what it was. It wasn't this, though, was it? Is this what fully grown Draconics normally did with one another when they got together? Did they all play like they did when they were children? If so, then why was it so discouraged to act like a child once grown? Oh, so many questions, so little time.

Or breath, for that matter. Zarkun was getting exhausted from all of this running and flying. Needless to say, he was not one to spend a lot of time doing generally athletic things. Not that he was particularly bad at them, as was proven by his ability to catch her twice (though, he arguably cheated once, using his wings). His body was able, but it wasn't used to any kind of long term activity. Soon enough, he'll be a pile of useless on the floor, and Nanashi will probably still be running around like a puppy, wondering why he's so tired.
