Having gotten the approval of the Ranger, Rendel and his water Verai set off into the Wilds, not entirely sure what to expect. "So these are the Grasslands," Rendel said, smiling wistfully. He was so curious as to what new creatures lived out in this clime -- he knew of the Cottles, the small lizards that were told to frolic all about the Grasslands, but he knew not of the other creatures. Additionally, he knew little of the localized plants, and was eager to find some of those as well. While he would be of little help to the Pascals at this point, he felt it was pertinent to first explore the area before setting off -- preferably in a group! -- to try to defeat some huge monster. Inundi followed along behind him as he mused, sniffing all of the vegetation growing on the sides of the trail Rendel was carving. He was excited to see what was out in the Grasslands as well.
