Everyone wants a home to live in, right?

Well - with MML's section of the HxR, you can build your very own home to live in! Or, you could build a museam if you wished.. or a Zoo even!

However, it usually costs quite a bit of credits (or money) to build a good home, and aquire a property - and there are rules and regulartions for housing too...

Let's start with the beginning, shall we?

Choosing a House
The first thing you will want to do, is to take a look at the Types of properties and buildings that can be purchased.. there's quite a bit to browse from, so take your time... Do you want a quaint little home for just yourself, and a few pets? Or do you want a large-scale farm? How about that Mansion you always dreamed of? Or a grand-scale aquarium petting-zoo? The choice is up to you, really.

Choosing a Neighborhood
Every house is built within' a neighborhood.. Now, each Neighborhood can only contain 25 Buildings at most, so space is limited... You also might want to be somewhat picky when moving into a Neighborhood, as your Neighbors are those who you will be living closest to, and they are the ones who decide what the Neighborhood should "feel" like..

After all, if you move into a nice quiet street, with "upscale" homes, they surely wouldn't want somebody living in a shack with a wiurn for a companion moving in next-door, would they? Likewise, you wouldn't want to move your nice little cottage in-between a dozen large shops and zoos, would you? If you plan to open a shop yourself, wouldn't it be more wise to attempt to start it in the business district of sorts, to promote business for yourself and your Neighbors?

Be sure to check with the Neighborhood Directory to make sure the Neighborhood you're moving into is the one right for you!

Building your House (purchase + posting)

Upkeep
* remember that promise you made when purchasing your permit? Keep it up!

Participate in the Community!
No, you're not required to participate in the community.. but it would be most wise to do so, wouldn't you think? Each Neighborhood has a "central street", which the Neighbors (and only the people living on that particular street) can mill around with, and get to know one another.. Then, there's also the larger Community, which is mostly considered to be "town square" - this is where anybody can come and talk with each-other.

Get to know your neighbors, and make some new friends! :D

Upgrading a House
*tired of your old house? Upgrade it today!

Demolition?
Did you fail in some way to keep up your house? Does it not look up to "neighborhood standards"?.. Did your neighbors "vote you out" because your pets were too loud, and you were living in a quiet neighborhood? Did you fail to meet the requirements of the public building - according to the City Council?

Well, on such rare occasions, a house can be removed from ownership of the owner.. This means a staff member will come in, post a notice on your house - and lock your house down... You will have to make a plea to re-open your house, with the promise of fixing whichever problem it was that was occouring..

But don't worry - surely everyone will be able to get along, and keep up the promises they made when purchasing a property, right?
