 So, had a new idea.

I think House should have a patient who's blind.
My thinking was that, since blind peoples' way of seeing people is to touch them, and House hates being touched (or, shies away from contact anyway), it could be a very interesting situation. Maybe the patient could even get away with touching his leg. At the very end, anyway. Could be an interesting bit of tension, especially combined with the fact that House doesn't like it that people know he's disabled/in pain, and he'd assume he'd be able to hide it from a blind person. Of course, he wouldn't.
And I'm thinking probably the patient would have to be a kid. Like a little girl, who's just so cute House couldn't refuse. He's a lot better with kids than with adults.
Thoughts?

I also thought a deaf patient would be cool at some point, maybe House knows sign language.

I like both of those ideas, especially him dealing with a blind patient. Somehow, the patient figures out House has a cane (probably by hearing, it's said that without one sense, the others are strengthened) and it all goes from there.

Who else is happy House is finally new today (sorry, just had to mention that)? Any hypotheses on what the bombshell might have to do with?

House:...he did however get hit by a bullet. Just mentioning.
Cameron: He was shot?
House: No, somebody threw it at him.

Glad you like the idea. I think, if I did it right, it could be interesting.

Well, now the episode's over, I'm sooooo excited.

That kiss was HOT!!!!!

OMG. I think I died a little.

The only thing I didn't get, was why he was actually drawing his own blood. Unless, I suppose, they needed it for the clinical trial, but then why not use the actual patient's? They'd obviously check his blood for cancer markers, and there wouldn't be any... I'm willing to bet there's something else going on (especially since I've read future spoilers). I have a fair idea of what, but I could be completely off base. Maybe I just missed something.
Anyway... another 3 weeks, is it, before the new one? Ahh, well. I can wait, cos then we get fucking 9 new ones in a row! Yesssssss!

Yes it was, though for some reason, it still didn't sit right with me.

I knew that something was off about what happened, but I'd totally forgotten about him drawing his own blood. It has to make you wonder...

As for the new episodes, YES!!! It means they can't take our schedule of House away for nine whole weeks. Waiting until then will be fun, but I'm sure we can all keep each other sane.

Could be cos it was Cameron, and whether you ship or not, you gotta admit, she's turning into quite the little manipulative bitch.
Then again, I'd think HL snogging one of his sneakers was hot. That tongue, those lips, those teeth... *sigh* I liked it cos of him, nothing to do with her...
I was watching with my parents and almost had to leave the room.
And the Chase hug was adorable, I thought... And when he grabbed Cuddy's arse. Very cute.

Enough of that.

I wanna know more about the blood!

Hmmm. I don't know whether my medical obsession outweighs my need to see some good HL action on the show or not... They're both really strong pulls though...

*purrs*

I like the idea of the blind person. Well, both are great but you went into more detail on the former.

A blind person would rely a lot on their sense of hearing so not only would they hear the cane but a limp like House's is relatively noticable if you listen; especially if that's how you rely on 'seeing'.

Your concept of the patient being female is good and a child too - although he's always sarcastic he'd be more likely to cave in to a child. So, I think it's pretty darn good.

*nods*

Maybe that's what it was, Abraxas. If he snogged his sneakers, I don't know if I'd laugh or cry because I wasn't the piece of leather or whatever used to make them. :D

Yeah, the hug was pretty cute. It certainly surprised me for sure and seeing as how I don't like Chase that much, it raised him a few points in my book. Anyone who's unafraid to show an emotion like that (even on a TV show where it's planned that no one's going to walk in and say "What the heck is going on?") is pretty awesome.

As for HL action, I still like what he said in his interview on "Inside the Actor's Studio" about a relationship between him and Wilson. Something like "I don't know about Robert but I'm all for it".

By the way, welcome Tori. *waves* I agree and I love the Signature picture thingy. Nice. :P

Cheers, Tori. Glad you like the idea. Well, if I ever finish my second script, this will be my third. And it'll be a nice change to have a female POTW-- my patients have been male so far.
Now I just have to think of a good disease. Hmmmmm. *ponders*

And Tori-- yes, welcome welcome. I'm glad you're here *does happy dance*! :-D

Oh, I like Chase way better than I like Cameron, but I do go through periods of dislike for each of the ducklings individually. Cameron's a little... wishy washy. I mean, she's had a complete personality shift this season, and it's thrown me. I kind of wish she'd go back to being an invertibrate who oogles over House at every opportunity.

Yeah, I'm still holding out for H/W although... have they (I mean the general They) ever done a gay relationship thing in mainstream, primetime TV? I mean, aside from, say, Will and Grace. Because W&G was more... Subdued. I don't think I ever saw an episode where either of the guys actually did anything with another guy (although I haven't seen that much of it). I mean, yeah the subject is getting less taboo by the day, but there's still going to be some resistance, even if House is a show that likes to push the envelope. I guess I'm wondering how realistic a possibility it is. They'd probably lose a bit of viewership if they did push for H/W. That said, Katie Jacobs said she's kind of into the idea. So that gives me hope.

Really? I suppose then that it might always be a possibility, especially if House/Cuddy thing that seems to be developing doesn't work out.

As for Cameron, I agree. I mean, it's good to see she's got a backbone but that much of a change seems unlikely. If she say, just had a little bit more of a backbone, I'd be happy. She needs to ogle again. I'm surprised that they haven't followed through on the supposed non relationship between Chase and Cameron.

Yeah-- Katie says she likes the idea-- or something to that effect, anyway. I think I may have read it in an article on hughlaurie.net but I'm not entirely sure.

Yeah, Cameron... She's changed too much, too fast. Maybe it's just a symptom of some bizzarre-o disease. *snort*
As for the her-and-chase thing... Dunno, they might go further into it. There was the shower comment in the last episode.
What I'm more curious about is the whole Cuddy pregnancy thing. They've hardly mentioned it recently. It's almost like she's given up and everyone's forgotten about it or something.
